How come Harley is in Rapid City instead of being at the world famous Sturgis Motorcycle Rally like Victory, Yamaha, the wholeHarley aftermarket, and Harley’scustomers?

Rapid City is a nice venue for Harley and I think it olffers quite a few advantages over Sturgis. For a corporate entity it gives the feeling of being very professionaland not confined by space limitations. While it is out of Sturgis, one does not have to fight the crowds, there is ample parking, kicked back atmosphere, reasonable room/lodging rates for their people, good amenities (food, services) along with other plus’ and I’m sure Rapid City does not demand exorbadent fees from them. The overall feeling when visiting Harley is very professional in a rather relaxing atmosphere.

It’s respectful. Sturgis is a gathering of people – H-D respects this and rather than intrude (Being corporate), they make themselves available to the people. Or some other reason. I’m just guessin.
