Willie’s Custom Bike Show. The Place To See And To Be Seen

Hot bikes and hot rods celebrating the technology of the 40’s, 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. Hot girls because chicks dig these bikes. Tattoos and rockabilly because…I don’t have to explain. Willie’s Tattoo Chop Bike Show located on US 1 in Ormond Beach is on every Thursday of Bike Week the place to see (bikes, girls, friends) and to be seen. Problem is that the success of Willie’s Show is so big that it would deserve a parking lot and a shop backyard 3 times bigger. Density of old school bikes is so dense that you would have to be as skinny as me to get a chance to walk between them. But nobody seems to care too much. It’s all about admiring creativity and celebrating friendship around the same God Of Customs. One of the best bike shows of the year. Only true bikers tinkering with and maintening their bikes can understand.

And that’s where the market is going to be focused. The old school stuff gets down to minimum parts to where it’s all motor and no frame. Once you start hiding wiring and cables into the handlebars and frame tubes, then the tanks and fenders get to tell the story.
Wait until V-Twin shows up with those 3.5 gallon tanks. All the Linkert hardware will return and we’ll start seeing cast brass and cadmium again. Riveted rubber mat footboards and polished detail. Looks like a real motorcycle and something that you could get killed riding.
Nice pin work shown here. Thanks for taking us along.

…a frame to hold it together would be nice too – Bobfather.

Hey Cyril, I’m just as skinny as you are! Do chicks dig skinny French guys as much as skinny English ones!!

“Motor, tank, seat, bars and two wheels, what else do ya really need?”

“..and something that you could get killed riding.”

Just like my first scoot. A Garelli 50cc moped!

It never killed me but i’ve still got an 1 1/2″ long scar just above my dick where I hit a kerb and flew over the handlebars hitting the clocks on the way over!

    Halcyon days of youth.

First off I want to thank Willie for everything he does for not just me but for everyone who comes to the show! I’ve heard comments like we need a bigger place or we need more parking or whatever but what everyone should understand is we are NOT about making money with that show the entry fees pay for the bands, permits, police, porta johns and other misc. things that occur when you put something like this on..we try to put on the best show that we can because believe it or not we actually have just as much fun as everyone else there! We had 182! REGISTERED bikes there and probably 20 to 40 bikes that should have been registered but the owners melted into the crowd before we we made it to them,I’m not kidding when I say the quality of bikes gets better every year! This was the hardest time ever judging the show..even if you don’t make it for the show on Thursday stop in anytime and say Hi to Willie and the other artists that work there year round I promise you that you won’t meet a better group of people! Thanks Cyril for stopping by and giving us a story on the blog!! Oh by the way if I offended anyone on the mic GET OVER IT it’s nothing personal..just trying to have a good time!! Roadside Marty

Congrats to Willie – what a show – a free event with no gouging of the crowd! Cheap beer – and Tropical Tattoo T-shirts are awesome and are still $15. And – lots of great designs for the girls – that make them look great!

I hope the attendees of this event show their support for Willie and get their tattoos and piercing there! And – pick up a tee shirt or two!

I can hardly wait till next fall for another show! Thanks Willie!!!

Great show and a great time. Better every year. Hot dogs $1.00, sodas and water $1.00, beer $2.00 and great B-B-Q. I heard the ARNI FOUNDATION, an animal rescue group, was in charge of the beer sells this year, with all the proceeds going to help the animals. This event is way cool! Thanks Willie!! I heard that your mom and dad sale the t-shirts that day. They’re some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. Got my shirt for the next show.

What a great show as always!!! Thanks to Willie for all that he does and for the awesome bike show they put on. It gets better every year. Roadside did a great job as did ALL of the staff and all that were involved. Attendance was high, clothes were skimpy and bikes were everywhere, it doesn’t get much better than that!!! We are proud to always be a part of the show and look forward to being there again in October.
