American Chopper’s Paul Teutul Jr. Leaves OCC TV Reality Show For His Own Business

paulteutuljuniorThese days, Paul Teutul Jr, helped by his girlfriend Rachel, is mostly working out of his house, launching his new business JR Designs. Yes, he is still making appearances on American Chopper, but mostly is trying to transition to industrial design with Coleman Stoves as 1st client of his new venture. I belong to the category of people who think that if you can design complex machines like custom motorcycles you can successfully design many other products. You have or you don’t have a knack at design, period. So, I think that Paul Jr. is making the right move and may be successful, especially after being introduced to a vast corporate world via his TV reality show.

As far as the OCC show, I guess that it is the last season.  Not only it was getting old (would like to see the audience numbers), but if you remove the discord between father & son, the testosterone pumping fights and the antics and grimaces of Mikey, any camera and spectator will be bored by the spectacle of a motorcycle being assembled. No drama = no audience. Did Paul Sr. made a marketing and financial mistake by building his huge Mac Headquarter and by investing in a line of OCC production bikes? I always thought so. It was quite a ride for the Teutul family. They made millions for themselves and are set for life. Congratulations. But the last curtain is going to fall. The show is over. Back to real life.

Never liked the show but Junior has some imagination and talent. Good luck to him. I agree with Cyril that Senior should have kept all his money and retire. Now he is going to lose a bunch of it with his production bikes. He started 3 years ago. How many bikes did he sell? How many dealers? I bet he is going to spend the next 2 years getting rid of the extra fat like his MAC building built as a throne to his huge ego. .

  2. 2 Shifter Jul 3rd, 2009 at 7:44 am

Recommendation to senior. Sell your Mac Building. Close the business. Play with your toys. Vacation around the world. Keep silent.

  3. 3 Ray Ormond Jul 3rd, 2009 at 7:45 am

End of the OCC story. What’s next in the industry?

  4. 4 bob Jul 3rd, 2009 at 8:02 am

ill admit i watched that show when it first came out. i always looked past the arguing and the drama to see the shop and look at the stuff in the background. the machines / tools and such. paul shouldve kept his money. starting a production motorcycle in these economic times was a huge mistake. but even after its all said and done, he’ll prob. still have more than enough money.

talk about being in the right place at the right time….

While I continue to watch and partisipate in the industry of bike building,. I have to admit that I am disappointed in the show, and by means it represents Bike builders everywhere. The ego, lack of professionalism, the greedy means by which bike building is compromised on the Show, as well as, off the show. The large amount of industry assistance and support was mainly for marketing purposes by the companies and individuals looking to market either themselves, and or their company products. While all this is American Capitolisum at its best, the Examples on how not to build a motorcycle which is both safe and pratical having some means of longivity was never observed. I wish Jr. the best. as he continues to grow. I feel it is a good move. And like alot of us, can only add to our exsiting resume and expereinces as we create. For the show… it will not be missed.

    Here’s my 2 cents Bros,
OCC did good by bringing the motorcycle trade to the masses, showed the world how beautiful a bike could be and showed that anything is possible in America despite one’s disfunctional family and upbringing.

That said, time to find private equity and bring in investors to ensure a long life as an enterprise. Continue the saga I say but add Biker Babes, real Biker stories ( Build the 1%er Bike), show us how Captain America and Billy Bike were built, tell the world about the whole wonderful biker lifestyle, etc). Happy Independence Day America.

  7. 7 Jeremy Jul 3rd, 2009 at 9:10 am

Among the 3 clowns, only Mickey was genuine. I don’t work, I know nothing about motorcycles, I try to make people laugh, and I am myself.

  8. 8 Jeff Nicklus Jul 3rd, 2009 at 9:26 am

WOW ….. I am overwhelmed with grief thinking that the three stooges are losing their TV show ….. how will the industry ever survive?

Well its true, teutels made choppers worldwide phenom.Jr is talented designer no doubt about that….maybe he can make his designs more popular on other stuff too…however show was absolutely off the line with family drama and their vacation, everyone wanted to see bike building….biker build off was far better and original.

  11. 11 Peter Jul 3rd, 2009 at 11:19 am

I always figured they had a good revenue stream from the show, endorsements, special appearances etc… to support that enormous factory. I mean that huge factory is not just a manufacturing facility but also a huge film set. It would be interesting to know how much of a percentage the sale of his choppers actually are to his business.

  12. 12 J Jul 3rd, 2009 at 2:13 pm

    Good luck to him, but there are far better designers on this board; arts & crafts isn’t design, it’s a hobby, and jr never appeared to operate beyond a hobby level;

That said, can understand why he left- daddy clearly takes too big of a piece of pie in this deal, and when it flushes, he’ll be the only one standing- smart move to get an actual job, dude.

  13. 13 nicker Jul 3rd, 2009 at 3:21 pm

Humans are the only animal that creates for the sheer joy of creating.

In the old America all you needed to succeed was a good idea, lots of imagination, half a brain and the fire in your gut to go with it.

Paul, clearly, your old job was heading down a blind alley.
I don’t know what the “Changing” America can offer ya at this stage.
But, looks like ya have the fire.

So ditch the drama and go for the sheer joy of creating stuff.

    Good luck.

Resultant of the split is it too far fetched to see some marketing strategies between companies, say some signature series Paul Jr. Design stuff with other industry companies/products.
Playing off notoriety and pluses of each to market and upsell each/both?
    A legal commingling of sorts.
Coleman as first Paul Jr. Designs client; stoves, Paul Jr. Designs signature series stove – Big Dogs; Paul Jr, Signature Series model and/or signature series Parts&Accessories?
Products/Companies in the eye of the public not always a bad thing underlining good sense motives? Safe Fourth of July. God and Country and Family.

  19. 19 Jim C Jul 4th, 2009 at 11:17 am

Last season? Has the film crew left the building o are they still following them around? This show still draws a huge audience for a cable show, especially overseas. It will be interesting to see how Paul Jr does if in fact he is on his own. That show and others like it has brought and ontinues to bring more and more mainstream customers into the motorcycle indutry. I for one would be sorry to see it end as there is not a replacement show or shows that will continue to bring in more and more riders.
We can all sit here and say how much you hate them, ect but while we are doing that,we are shooting ourselves in the foot. IMHO,we need to be sticking together a lot more than what we do as what happens to some of us happens to all of us. Kinda like what is happening to this country in general. We continue to fight amongst ourselves, meanwhile countries like China are laughing behind their hands while taking our jobs and lifestyle away from us. When talking about the motorcycle industry,we need more media attention, which includes shows like American Chopper,so that more and more people get excited about building their own bikes or buying custom bikes, ect. Right now, most of the custom bike manufacturers are looking overseas for customers……. Well,I could go on all day about this but I gotta go to the store and buy my wife a new garbage disposal as ours didn’t like all the spoons and forks getting dropped into it. Oh,and I am going to try to find one that was actually made or at least assembled here in the U.S.A. And the sad fact is that I will not find one that didn’t come to this country in a container on a boat. So the next time you start ripping apart someone, you might think about the bigger implications of what we are saying or doing. I am not just sticking up for OCC ,I am sticking up for all of us and how we all need as a country to stick up for each other.
I hope all of you a GREAT 4TH of JULY and remember that this is our day of Independence ad what we should all be doing to keep our right to live free!

  20. 20 BB Jul 4th, 2009 at 11:31 am

Great move for him. But i thought you needed an engineering degree to be an industrial designer? i geuss fame trumps that minor detail huh? Its better he leave the bikes to us anyhow due to his atrocious taste in moto design. stick to designing toasters JR. BB

  21. 21 Woody Jul 4th, 2009 at 12:44 pm

Actually you don’t even need a HS Diploma to be a designer. I only have an associat’es dgree and journeyman’s card in electromechanical. It all boils down to asking for help when you need it and using the talent you have. It also can mean lawsuits and failure if you screw up, so an enginnering degree ain’t a bad thing. That said, I’ve met/worked with manufacturing engineers that couldn’t get the VCR to stop flashing 12:00 so there’s something to be said for APPLYING your skills.
I enjoyed the first year or two of American Chopper; It was different, they The kids) didn’t know squat about shop tools and applictaions or building bikes so it was fun for me to watch to watch (and often laugh at ’em). Remember them going to a REAL shop to see what was inside a V-Twin and how they go together? Quite a difference from the current spectacle. I can’t fault their success, they won, period. Now on to reality.

  22. 22 Woody Jul 4th, 2009 at 12:45 pm

    “associat’es dgree ” was a joke BTW

Ya mean that SR never gove JR a piece of the action? shame, shame

  26. 26 Kevin "TEACH" Baas Jul 6th, 2009 at 7:42 am

I can always remember all the help and support I received for my high school chopper class from many small shops and guys who were barely paying there bills. When we approached OCC they said they couldn’t help us at all but made sure to plug to the class to “keep watching our show”. Now I don’t expect anything from anyone but that was something else, the only time I mention them in my class is to say how we will never build a bike like the crap they put out and don’t watch the show because bad habits could be learned.

  27. 27 SoCal Chop Jul 6th, 2009 at 8:00 am

“Financially set for life” …… I seriously doubt it

  28. 28 keeping it real Jul 6th, 2009 at 10:33 am

Jr. will do well after all there are a lot of fans out there that will buy items with his name attached. Just as half you guys on here have bought items from your idols Jesse James and Billy Lane. Lucky for Jr. he don’t need you guys, his target audiance is much bigger. Smart move on Coleman’s part all those 12 and 13 year olds that started watching American Chopper are now 19 and 20 year olds and camping with there girl freinds. Putting Jr’ name on there camping equipment will no doubt sell many items. He will do fine and he will make even more money. That should give some of you haters something to whine about in the future.

  29. 29 Mazz Jul 6th, 2009 at 11:09 am

Like “Teach” we approached OCC for some sort of help with our Chopper Class up here in Canada. Like Teach, we were politely told they could not help, but asked to “plug” the show. I might note this was before the drop in the economy, when OCC was flying high. I do understand, however, that they had been bombarded, like many companies by people asking for money or “free stuff” and saying “No” becomes easier and easier. That being said, you have companies like Nike and Rebook, sponsoring sports teams first, which should most definately should be the case, it’s their bread and butter, so, motorcycle companies, custom bike shops, part manufactuers for motorcycle parts should support programs like the various Chopper Classes first. Now, before I get attacked by people thinking I am saying we are more important than sick and dying children, that is not that case. All I am saying is that for this industry to survive, we need to look towards the future, that future are these kids that Teach, myself and 8 or 9 other schools in North America are trying to groom to come out of school and feed the industry. Like Teach mentioned and so is the case for me, our small local shops have supported us greatly and it’s largely due to the fact that we are local and local supports local. I have been told by many I have contacted “Well how will supporting you way up there in Canada help me way down here in Texas, or California, or Florida??” This is a valid point. All I can say is this, support to the industry is support to the industry. If you don’t want to help my class “way” up here in Canada, then find a Chopper Class close to you and help them. There are Chopper Classes in Minnesota, New York, Pennsylvania, for sure, there is supposed to be some in Texas, Virginia and California. If you feel there isn’t one close enough to you, find a teacher at a local high school crazy as a bag of hammers like we are to start one up!!!

Myself, like Teach, started with nothing but an idea and dream and we lose it all tomorrow, we will start over with an idea and a dream the day after that.

Paul Jr. is starting over with an idea and dream who can knock him on that. If Paul Sr and Mikey have it all end too, then it will be their turn to make up their minds to pursue that idea and dream. I may not be American but us Canadians believe in the pursuit of happiness and the land of plenty and all that. North America is a great place to live, the motorcycle industry is the greatest industry I have personally ever been involved in. I’ll be damned if I don’t do my part to keep it alive!!

By the way, OCC is coming to the Atlantic Canadian provinces this summer for the first time. I would hope their public relations persons would get in touch with a program like mine to make sure they are seen with my kids. It’s good PR, not just for us and them, but for the industry as well.

    Stepping off the soapbox now.

  30. 30 Micah Jul 6th, 2009 at 12:03 pm

“…any camera and spectator will be bored by the spectacle of a motorcycle being assembled. No drama = no audience.”

I stopped watching it when they stopped assembling bikes. I agree. It’s the last season.

  31. 31 Hank Jul 6th, 2009 at 12:31 pm

H.S. programs for metal and bike fabrication is awesome. However, the desire to fund these types of programs could run into serious roadblocks when possible donations from would-be financiers witness the photo on Teach’s website… a passenger with shorts, sandals, tank top, no helmet who is riding on the back of a bike with an open primary and questionable foot pegs.

This is not a slam on the chopper or one’s decision to wear no protective gear. It’s about “playing the game” so you can get the funding you need.

  32. 32 Joe Jul 6th, 2009 at 1:28 pm

Remember Cody and Vinny? They left the show and started this place Looks like the are still in business, but I wonder how well they are doing? You don’t really hear much about them, but maybe they are making money. Good luck to Pauly on HIS new business. I agree with what several have said… senior should just have retired and counted his money instead of building that huge OCC palace.

  33. 33 Patrick R Jul 6th, 2009 at 3:53 pm

Although talented, Paul JR is a bit full of himself….When he made comments like you’re not riding a real bike if you didnt pay over 50 grand for it…..just rubbed me the wrong way. Who’s to say that the amount of money you spend on your ride makes the ride a “real” motorcycle or not? After the continuous put downs of the “AVERAGE” builder/ biker, enough was enough. I changed the channel. I dont need someone telling me whats cool and whats not cool……Again…Paul JR is an extremely talented man, and had some incredible ideas, its too bad things had to end the way they did. Good luck to you all~

  34. 34 Motorcycle Monster Jul 7th, 2009 at 1:35 am

OCC Fades Away??…First of all I have known Paul Sr. since he was welding fence out of the back of his pick-up. Wow what an American Dream story. Poor guy works hard, finds a niche…timing is perfect… TV guys stumble in looking for drama, chrome, and sparks and poor guy with disfuntional family cash the winning lotto ticket. What could be a better story line ? It was sort of the same theme of the Beverly Hillbillys gone biker. ” Old Pauls a millionaire.
Motorcycling Explodes…The timing was perfect because America and all gear heads were still trying burn outs with their Honda Rebels after watching Motorcycle Mania….American had been introduced to Motorcycle building, bending, sparking and dropping the F Bomb by a bad ass boy with a perfect name “Jesse James”. Jesse left the building with Monster garage for his big pay day, and American Chopper scratched the itch, that Jesse created.
Story Line…Paul and Jr. added a “Drama Aspect” over a couple of late arrivals and an empty coffee cup or two and bingo, we’re off to the “reality TV races” biker style. New exciting sponsors create new challenge for $150,000 ad bikes, parts are late, Sr. loses his cool, Paulie quits, and then at the last min, pop and son hug, Nub paints all night and they pull off the impossible, “saving the day” as conquering heros and head back to “Rock Tavern” to replay the same story with a different bike and another $150,000 donor next week.
Tee Shirt Sales Soar…The real surprise “home run” was that they quickly became the biggest Tee shirt salesman since Harley Davidson. “Yippe we’re rich”, was the battle cry as main stream American, tuned in weekly, to see what kind of crazy explosion old Sr. would have this week and what it was like to be a real biker. Walmart ordered a few zillion Tee’s, and every non-biker wantabee jumped on board with an OCC Tee and bumper sticker to confirm that he was “in fact” part of the “Bad Ass” biker club.
Mikey Hits Grand Slam…Then, about the time we began getting sick of the coffee cup routine a really smart TV producer guy ran into Mikey in the local beer joint and the “Stooges 3” were complete. They now had a Curley for comic relief and the American Chopper “tri fecta money cake”, was iced with gold.
I’m Jealous….I said early on, that had Discovery wandered into my motorcycle shop on a day when I had stepped into the dog poo, or when someone set their hot fish sticks on my Harley fender, I’d be the tee shirt king of the scooter world. Heck, my fits of uncontrolable “bi polar rage” make Paul Sr look like a Yoga instructor drinking herble tea.
Real Deal? …The part of the equation that most real motorcycle folks don’t admit is everyone in the motorcycle business benefited from this “surge” created by Paul Sr., Jesse, and all the “Biker Build Off” shows. Most agree, the Teutle’s are not really master builders, probably not even very good bike builders. Heck, the Teutle triplets couldn’t carry Cyrils detail kit. But, one thing for sure is they brought more attention to the biker world since Peter Fonda rolled in with Billy in Easy Rider in 1969. The Teutles brought motorcycling to the main stream for the first time and we (real motorcycle folks) all got great business opportunities from the “man behind the curtain” wizard, Paul Sr.
Saleman of The Decade….Mikey told me once, that his father had “lost his mind” because he was truley “a thug” and really out of place at corporate functions. He went on to say how his father felt it necessary to get his nails done and pay $200.00 for a $9.00 hair cut. Well in my opinion, Paul Sr. probably was really destined to be a master salesman, a sales tycoon of sorts, that really didn’t belong under a welding hood or on the business end of a snap on, but at the board room table planning how to get every man, women, and child on earth to buy his Tee-Shirts. I think board rooms are probably full of guys with professionally done nails and $200.00 haircuts. Heck, I even changed from a barber to a stylist while Paul was building his empire. His “half assed builds” helped energize my motorcycle school, m/c insurance agency, and gear store.
Thanks Paul…. for much of our sales success in the Motorcycle business and the attention you have given all of us over the past 6 or 7 years. You kept all of us “motorcycle business'” in the spotlight far longer than anyone in history. I hope we can find another Paul and Paulie “real deal” sales wizards to put that same spark back into our motorcycle game. We all need it.

American Choppers, was a sitcom, with some creative twist to it. I think the guys did a good job at promoting bikes. However the reality of the matter is, everything was taken to extreme to the extent that these bike did not seem ridable. Well a big thank you for Discovery and I hope these guys survive the storm.

  36. 36 Redsand Jul 15th, 2009 at 4:26 am

Well everyone, good things have to come to an end sometime. Though nothing is official yet, we are expecting OCC/American Chopper to end it’s TV fame after this season.
The show “jumped the Shark” when Vinnie left, followed by Cody.
I have followed every season, every Bike, even have been to several OCC events and I really liked their work and craftmanship. Rick Petco is the real fabricator here when he came aboard, and Vinnie and Jr started the action…Over the years the ideas were sick.
As a tv show, the father/dad concept was great. WILL miss all the drama..I always have to ask, with all their money, they couldn’t find a shrink to solve there problems…?? It seems like its all Sr. Sorry big guy, you need to chill and give Jr, Vinnie,Rick and etc..all the credit in the world..They made you rich, and you should be thankful…

  37. 37 beebop Jul 15th, 2009 at 11:58 am

Why can’t people just appreciate a good funny light hearted show anymore they have to try to work out its downfall like they have some sort of right to make comment on anything. Certain occ fans myself included love the show and always will and if it ends that will be sad, very sad. However life rolls on so get over yourselves. If you don;t like it then don’t watch it. I don’t like lettuce but I don’t plaster my comments about it on the internet.

    Grow up

  38. 38 wwireless Jul 23rd, 2009 at 11:58 am

Paul sr is an arrogant a-hole. Paul jr brought class and style to OCC and he’s compensated by his father tossing him out. He likely fears his son might be a better bike builder than he ever was. Take the bikes out of it and Paul jr is a better man than pops could ever dream to be.

The old man in on an infinity ego-trip and he probably deserves to take a hard fall. Too much money, too much adulation, too much excess on all fronts.

  39. 39 Antsmasher Aug 2nd, 2009 at 5:53 pm

I’ve been a fan of American Chopper since the first show. I’ve like the interaction with Jr. , Mikey, and Sr. up untill now. It seem like since OCC got big and got their new shop Sr. has forgotten it was Jr. who helped build the brand and how Mikey adds his bit that people like. I don’t like how Sr. has startted to change the OCC history books and say it was all him and the way he puts down his sons.

I for one would like to see where Jr’s buisness goes and hopes Mikey’s aspirations work for him as well. I believe that Sr and possibly OCC needs to be shown the error of their ways.

First off to put the record straight I want to thank the USA for the help not only now but over the years I appreciate and value you nation ethics and people I would move there In a heartbeat and I do have a good dental plan! My family have watched the OCC show over it’s time and I also think it is getting dated repeating the same old as an Engineer and an ex R a F Technician and a biker I enjoyed the oily bits but the show has got more and more about the dog the snow plough the arguments which at this point you just have to think that they are just manufactured to a degree for the benefit of what the aeditor and Producer interprets as “good viewing” the show is old the emphasis is all wrong but I wolud have loved a fairytale ending to see Paul jr run the company with Vinny doing some colaborative work the vision is gone I hope we all get through the credit crunch and I don’t wish Paul ant anything bad at all @@it happens all the best Paul jr if the split is real ? i hope this helps ……………On the April 9, 2009 episode of American Chopper, following a disagreement with his father and partner, Teutul’s employment was terminated. They attempted to resolve their disagreements, and he returned to work for OCC. The April 30, 2009 episode reveals that Teutul ultimately decided to voluntarily terminate his employment as a full time member of the staff.

In subsequent episodes, Teutul has returned to OCC as a consultant, helping with bike builds when his father is away from the shop, and on builds that need extra man power. In addition to his new role at OCC, Teutul also explained that his ultimate goal is to open up his own design firm, as well as assisting his girlfriend Rachael in opening up a boutique in Montgomery, NY.

  44. 44 the big eagle Aug 19th, 2009 at 9:30 pm

The trio forgot who put them where they are- the audience! I was at Daytona a couple of years ago when they were in their hayday and went to their trailer for a Tee shirt. They were so full of themselves that they would not personalize the shirts and would not even look up to thank you for buying a cheap piece of crap T with their logo on it.

I have a friend that lives near their new world headquarters and told me that the parking lot is empty and the only business they have is at their Ducati dealership. A big mistake building that HQ and a better ending of the story would have been for Paul Jr. to take it over with the help of Vinny as
VP and a cleaned up and unstoned Mikey. It was the beginning of the end when they brought in Steve and the other relatives to push out Jr and Mikey.

Good luck to Jr and hope that Mikey doesn’t completely flip out.

The old man may be a marketing genius but a better description would be the biggest you know what in the state of New York. Maybe the perfect ending will be that he goes belly up and has to sell the business to the Chinese!

  45. 45 George Manont Aug 21st, 2009 at 12:09 pm

    I loved the show….however…..

    until Vinnie left…Rick felt sick…Jr. got loss…..Mickey behaved……..

    then…somebody flushed….the sound of swirl water………

    then… the silent…..

The old man shakes….mumbling….can’t see eye-to-eye even with the milling guy…or…the computer guy…

    OCC building is now quite….

Discovery crews left…..Walmart stopped ordering T’s…..

Ted Turner creeps in…too late ?

    Senior sobs….

  46. 46 Sara Aug 23rd, 2009 at 12:31 pm

I don’t understand why alot of these comments are negative, occ have entertained me and my partner for years. We love the show, the bikes and the staff. I for one am utterly gutted it’s ending. I wish people who left negative comments would let the fans comment rather than a bunch of people with no life but to leave comments about something they didn’t like in the first place.

I love the teutals and hope they get back together for many more years!!!!!!!

Sadly, the whole uproar is over Paul Jr’s laziness. As a son in a father/son business, I know what it is to get “ridden harder” and held to a higher standard. It sucks, but that’s what it is. Paul Sr. at least has his employees respect since he signs their paychecks and, built the business from the bottom up. Jr, on the other hand, and keep in mind that I agree he is talented and has contributed a lot; is still seen as a kid whose taking advantage of being “the bosses son” and not expected to work as hard as everyone else. Since Jr is the expected heir to the big chair in the company, he will never be able to run it with any degree of success as long as those on the company payroll see that he doesn’t even have enough commitment or dedication to show up at work on time. Hopefully, Sr will dump the company when he retires; otherwise, Jr and Mikey will drive it straight into the ground. They aren’t smart enough or dedicated enough to make it work.

“… Paul Sr. at least has his employees respect since he signs their paychecks…”

Respect….???……putting it that way, sounds more like Fear.

  49. 49 Harry Brown Sep 3rd, 2009 at 11:06 am

Paul Teutel Sr´s lack of intelligence is really responsible for the debates with Paul Jr.
Senior is always afraid that Junior could be better than him, which is the case.
The best of luck for Paul Jr. with his new enterprise. That was the right thing to do.
I still hope that OCC can survive these hard times, especially for the employees.

For you Paul Sr.: Arrogance comes before the fall.

From a purely marketing standpoint the dissolution of OCC whether real or perceived is the worse thing that could happen to Orange County Choppers. Think about it folks it was an hour long commercial that was very entertaining

    lets hope they fail.

Wish I’d found this site earlier…’s my question. How did OCC get to be such a B.F.D. without becoming a true partnership, with it’s incumbent line of succession, etc? Round about season 3, with the 1st signs of success, Jr. should’ve had his head cleared and ears cleaned and, for God sakes, spoken to an attorney. Unless we’re not being told the whole story. TLC must be paying performance fees to family members in addition to license fees to OCC. So in theory, Jason could make more than Paul Jr? Give me a break.

  56. 56 MDog00 Sep 20th, 2009 at 12:17 pm

Well, I liked the show…it was more about family relationships and/or hardships than merely the bike building. The actual building of the bikes could be facinating though. I’m sorry to see that the show has run it’s course and the family is literally breaking up. It’s good that the $$$ has all been made; but bikes are out of vogue in this current economy. I liked the Paul Jr. character the most and he seemed to be on the ball, but as a designer in the real world he will be lacking since he has no formal design education. He was great with the bikes but you can only do so much with someones BBQ….like chroming and painting the firebox and handles. He needs to know the ergonomics of designing devices himself….every motorcycle had the same same basic design and just conisted of “hanging” unique hardware on it….He did not redesign the motorcycle concept and he won’t redesign some other company’s product as evidenced the the coleman bbq. So my advice is for Paulie to reinvest some cash in himself and get a degree in some type of design or architecture.

  57. 57 Bolt Sep 22nd, 2009 at 5:18 am

I have been watching Paul Sr, Paul Jr and Mikey since the show began. I was sorry when Vinny left but often said to myself, “Paul Jr is lucky Vinnie doesn’t pop him one in the face” for all of the crude comments he’d make directed toward Vinnie.
Best wishes to Vinnie and Cody.
I also said to myself often that Mikey was so freakin’ lucky to have been born into a family that paid him to do nothing. His wit and loving fights with Paul Sr. were great fun to watch. All the time they fought the viewer knew that Paul Sr. loved the heck out of Mikey. Why else would he be raising a son who actually zero ambition for anything?
Paul Jr. (O.C.C. logo designer) did come across quite a few times as just a whiny kid who wasn’t getting enough attention and would throw a tantrum to get what he wanted. Rick seemed to be the one that had the most talent in design and fabrication and I with him the best in his future pursuits. Paul Sr. It’s time….Sit down, relax a bit and enjoy all of the money you’ve received from the great company you’ve made and deserve. Life is too short bud.

  58. 58 Torquey Sep 30th, 2009 at 9:40 am

I have watched this program since day one, but when the Teutuls began to destroy perfectly good property, ie. truckes, office, trailers etc. it completely turned me off from the show. I guess it makes good T.V., but a lot of hard working people that watched this show would appreciate these things that the Teutuls took for granted. For awhile you found the OCC logo on everything and I do mean everything, so financially they could afford to act like fools.

  59. 59 eddie Oct 3rd, 2009 at 7:44 am

All those who are having a go at the Teutuls begs the question, why are we not reading about your show, armchair generals!

The show has given me some moments of laughter and entertainment, is that not the purpose of all shows to entertain, not a bit of wonder America has problems the Teuts are fighting, as if they are that important!

I hope they saved some money. I hear Paul Sr. is having money problems already! Paul Jr a taleneted designer? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! Cheesy, medallion festuned motorcycles arent great designs.

  62. 62 AUSSIE LES Oct 11th, 2009 at 4:01 am

Its about time OCC finnished on TV I watched it and loved a lot of the great looking Bikes that Paul jr created but I hated the way they put in stupid games like lawn bowls ect or watching stupid Granny at home. It should have stuck to the main part being building Bikes. I was very sorry to see Vinny go he was the best, Rick was a suck hole to senior. Paul jr was great but his farther was a total A – HOLE and lazy he would turn up at the unvailing to take all the credit every time. I have 3 grown up children I would never do to them what Senior did to Paul jr . I could never understand how Paul sr could let Mikey get away with everthing and absolutley take his temper out on his other son Paul jr. Paul jr has finnaly done the right thing by leaving , if he stay on and worked there until his father died ,he would not get the bussiness because his father would divide it amongst all the his children and that would leave Paul jr out in the cold . So by starting his own business then he will get the same as the rest and still have his own business on top of it all.Good luck Paul jr and DONT crawl back to him he is not worth it to treat 2 sons so different to each at the same place.

  63. 63 Nikola from Serbia Oct 11th, 2009 at 10:09 am

I think this is marketing , but if is not, it was a time to do that, because they make a excellent job even they are not good builders( there are some builders that are much bether on them), but TV is miracle, and if Paul Jr. new business have TV support, hi also get good credits

  64. 64 Kevin Oct 18th, 2009 at 9:38 pm

Well as a big watcher of the show have every toolbox, its a sad day to findout Jnr got fired. On the flip of that though can understand Snrs frustration on him always being late, taking long lunches etc. From what i can gather though snr does the same though not setting a good roll model. All the best for both sides but i am pissed that it will be no more!! One of your biggest fans

  65. 65 Kevin Oct 18th, 2009 at 9:40 pm

As for people saying there not good builders, get a grip people they one awards for there bikes. Yes tv helps but come on they won awards before anyone knew them. I would like to see some of you all do a job half as good.

  66. 66 DiamondGirl Oct 22nd, 2009 at 8:45 pm

I have also watched this show from the beginning and enjoyed it.
I think that all the media attention has affected Sr and Jr and they both forgot what got them to where they are. Letting people like Vinny and Cody walk away wasn’t very smart and should have been the wake up call that “Hey, maybe I am a jerk”. There are a lot of folks that say Mike was given a job only because he was in the family. That might be so, but if everyone will remember, he’s the one that counterbalances the social inadequacies of the other two. He also defused several very ugly situations with his good humor..that does count for something.
I hope they put aside their differences because they are very lucky to have a family that at least gives a crap enough to fight with you.

Paul Jr. was the only one with any real talent in that family . Every thing the old man did looked like old school crap . All that said Paul Sr. was fairly wealthy before the show and motorcycle business . Paul Jr. will be fine , the other one will wind up homeless .

  70. 70 2tall Oct 24th, 2009 at 12:50 am

When OCC first started out on Discovery.. I really enjoyed the series.. The whole temper tantrums with father and son got old real quick though.. Paul jr. is the only talent in the family. He made that show what it is. The old man is a fool for what he did.. Good luck ol timer..

  73. 73 Michelle Oct 25th, 2009 at 1:39 am

I for one LOVED watching OCC. My husband and I watch it every chance we get even my daughter watches sometime. I love paulie and mikey and sr are great. If the show does end it will be sadly missed if it stays on the air it will never be the same without paulie and mikey. I wish Paulie good luck on Jr designs and Mikey good luck on being and artist look forward to seeing his art work on the web and good luck to Sr in whatever he does next. I LOVE ALL THREE OF THE TEUTULS……

  74. 74 lewanne Oct 26th, 2009 at 9:05 am

it will be sad to see the show end I just hope that jr. still will show off his talent of designing choppers and share it with america. I am a huge fan and the OCC will not be the same without him he made occ i think. Most of the ideas for designs for choppers came mostly from him I hope nothing but the best for Paul and his family. Good Luck and God Bless.

  75. 75 Bill Oct 26th, 2009 at 12:31 pm

Paul Jr and Mikey were 2 spoiled brats… Sr is the one who made the business and yes Jr was creative about making bikes. I tired of Jr coming and going when ever he wanted. Mikey, the same thing, he is just a lazy slob who milked daddy for what he could. Now that Daddy is not paying him, he cries that he is being screwed. Wish I could come in and break walls and act like a moron and drive my own Hummer…

Sr may not be the best at backing bikes, but he does have the business sense to get people who can build the bikes and work for a living. We’ll see how Jr makes money when he has to work 80+ hours a week… He is already crying to he other brother…. another fraud…

  76. 76 JBirm Oct 26th, 2009 at 10:46 pm

My father, brother, and myself, have been through the same drama. My dad being a contractor brought us kids in young and we helped build a small thing into a successfull business. Paul sr needs to realize that without his kids involved in that family business, there would be no business. His mistake by riding and firing paul jr will bite him in the ass and Im sure it already has. The same thing happened with my family, but my dad wasn’t as much of a dick. However, the business eventually fell apart because of all of our stubborness. We eventually started another together. But, things aren’t as good as they used to be. Wake up Sr., swallow your pride, hes your son so quit being a jackass. You are nothing compared to what you could be if you stick together. And family should stick together no matter what. Who cares about when paul jr shows up as long as he is getting the job done. And besides that, whether you like it or not, he is a founding father of where you’re at today. You want to treat him like everyone else? You can’t because he’s not. Paulie is not a silver spoon, he worked his ass off. Wake up Paul Teutul Sr., your screwin up and only you have the chance to make things better before its too late. If its not already…

Just speaking from having nearly the same experience, brother and father in business.

  77. 77 Ron Oct 29th, 2009 at 6:12 pm

I suspect Senior has roid rage. Those sudden outbursts are just too strange to be anything else. If it’s not roids, then perhaps some anger management classes are warranted?

  78. 78 Squilly Oct 29th, 2009 at 9:42 pm

Good luck on the new adventure.. SR. Made a big mistake not to mention the product line sucks. JR. Fab up a Harley Davidson snowmobile. Just not as heavy. No more than 475 lbs. If it performed up to todays standards, I would buy one.

loved to watch the show when it was on. now it just seems to be getting old. now that Jr. is gone
and mikey pushed out i opt to watch something different. never understood why paul Sr was the one in the spotlight to ride the bikes they built ( paul Jr., rick, christian, lee,) when he did nothing at all !!! and never really figured mikey’s role but he was and still is a fan favorite. good luck to you paul Jr and you g/f to get your new business off the ground. and to mikey also in whatever way he leads. as far as OCC goes if senior loses anymore people he better fold and ride off into the golden
    age of retirement

Jumped in a little late here. American Chopper is no different from any other show that focuses on everyday people that, for one reason or another, have been found interesting enough to draw an audience. The shows do start out well but the show suffers from success. That’s unavoidable in my eyes. See, a successful show equals money, and once the money comes in, the original premise of the show being about “your neighbor” ceases to exist because these folks are no longer normal everyday people. Little People/Big World, John and Kate plus eight, and others have suffered from this problem. If American Chopper started out as bitching family members with a ton of cash trying to make motorcycles, they would have been on MTV between Rock of Love and Flavor Flav. But the Tuetels did the same damn thing that Harley Davidson did and that was to market products rather than sell motorcycles. I thought the show jumped the shark when I saw American Chopper deodorant at my local Wal Mart. I was like “you gotta be kidding!”

  82. 82 Brian M. Nov 1st, 2009 at 6:58 am

It’s all a joke and we are the fools. Story was getting old so how do you spice it up? Create a controversy.

Result: Improve dropping ratings, increase dropping sales of the hats, shirts and stuff.

Paul Jr. Designs is a joke! What’s he designing? More shirts and hats to fall to the bottom line.

Smart move guys, but I am not fooled. Entertained yes, but not fooled.

  83. 83 jessr Nov 1st, 2009 at 1:27 pm

i belive jr is a talented indavidual,he will succeed in anything he does. i think him and his dad need to get over the bickering and get down to what they do best build bikes. paul sr should build more old school choppers leave the modern bikes to jr. i like theyre bikes and the show but the bickering got old, like that was all they would do when they would get along they put out theyre best work. family is all you have so dont let youre attatudes get in the way.

    “Kevin “TEACH” Baas
    Jul 6th, 2009 at 7:42 am
I can always remember all the help and support I received for my high school chopper class from many small shops and guys who were barely paying there bills. When we approached OCC they said they couldn’t help us at all but made sure to plug to the class to “keep watching our show”. Now I don’t expect anything from anyone but that was something else, the only time I mention them in my class is to say how we will never build a bike like the crap they put out and don’t watch the show because bad habits could be learned.”

And that is how “teach” lost my respect.
He says he asked for help and was told no so now he has nothing good to say about them and talks about the crap they put out. Wow,unbeleiveable that you ask them for help while talking sh#t behind their back. If he thinks they build crap why would he bother to ask them for help in the 1st place. I happen to know that he in fact got a box of parts from them and not once did he say thank you or even acknowledge that he got them. And then for him to come on here and flat out lie about this tells me a lot about him and what he stands for.

  86. 86 Aggony Nov 3rd, 2009 at 10:44 am

I still look forward to the show here in Germany because it’s from the States and I miss TV from home but lately I get a weird feeling watching it. We’re only to the Jr. meeting Coleman episode so I don’t know what’s ahead and today I decided to see what’s up. Weird Mikey joking and Paul Jr. complaining about their dad was some good funny stuff at times. The rest of the guys crying about stress and deadlines is absurd.

I always thought most of the fabrication was trial and err which for a company getting that big is kind off wastefull but I figured they sold the bikes for so much money and are living so large with the Discovery show, they covered the cost of D***ing around. The production bikes builds are kept under wraps so it’s hard to figure out how they manage to pump them out, they can’t possibly have too many orders. What do people do, buy them online? You don’t see dealerships anywhere.

I also had to smile when the Abu Dabi people were meeting with the OCC clowns about starting a partnership. They couldn’t possibly have asked a difficult question about distribution or buisness structure. Looking forward to seeing what they think when they visit OCC. It looked to me like they just wanted to promote Mikey, Jr. and Senior and that ‘s not there any more. If they watch someone making a gas tank for four days the’ll probably pack up and leave.

To bad, it was fun watching the whole crew goofing off at the drag strip or bobsled track. Mikey trashing cars and doors. Good funny stuff because it gave you the mixture of work and insanity we all wish we had on the job.

Maybe someday when my boss makes fun of my work I can throw his chair through the office window and we’ll all have a good laugh and say “Let’s get out of here” That would be great!

Loved the show as it was and miss the entertainment!

Pauly will make a small fortune, Out of the large one his daddy made for him. Creativity is nothing without discipline, and he doesn’t have a jot of it.

Paul senior figured out what it takes to get ahead. Do what you say you’re going to do, when you say you’re going to do it, and the price you agree upon. Do the damned work! Pauly is a lazy poser. Will he wake up? Who knows. His father woke up when junior was 9 or 10. Let’s’ see if Jr. can better that. The clock is running.

  90. 90 diamond dave Nov 5th, 2009 at 9:36 pm

i wish the discovery channel had came to me i would probably be where they are now that was handed to them you know they went from that small building with 4 employees to this they would’nt be where they were today if not for dc & tlc i’ve built a few nice nice scoots but with tv the prices were thru the roof if anybody had that oppertunity they would be big time to

  92. 92 Truthseeker Nov 9th, 2009 at 9:05 pm

Well for all true fans the axe falls on Senior. He got selfish and lost all the good employees of the place. First Vinnie and Cody…Vinnie being the most talented person in the shop and never was compensated by Senior. Vinny and Junior built OCC while senior drank coffee and collected checks. Mikey…well enough said…he was comedic relief and valuable to the TV show. In any event I hate to see all the casulties and hope Senior realizes he owes them a lot! Hopefully Vinnie an dCody’s venture will pan out and they will make some cash, thought they should have made as much as the Teutals. Funny how greed takes over and ruins relationships, lives , and tv shows! good luck!

  93. 93 marty Nov 11th, 2009 at 9:27 am

Wow. Reading through the blogs I’m amazed at the support generated for Paul Junior .Thanks for opening my eyes to another perspective. My perception of Paul Jr was that his ego (particularly represented in the subtext of his new logo) got the best of him and the addition of his girlfriend, Rachel to the show, and her short-lived boutique was a lame as it got. Perhaps I did not appreciate Paul’s talent, as I am not a bike builder, and not following every episode, I did not see the big picture. So good luck, Paul JR.

  94. 94 A.M. Nov 11th, 2009 at 8:44 pm

Years ago I went to Daytona bike week and saw the OCC crew there. I stood in line and bought two overly priced shirts, $25 a piece, so $50 for what cost them several dollars. But it was all good cause all I wanted to do was meet them (Jr. and Sr.) and shake their hands… no autographs necessary here.

When I got to them, Jr. was cool, but Sr. never even looked me in the eyes as we shook hands. How disrespectful toward a cash paying fan. So now hopefully karma does its thing.

  95. 95 Burbike Nov 13th, 2009 at 12:28 am

Just watched tonight’s show (11/12/09) and my God was that boring. I have never fast forwarded through AC but Mickey and the piano lesson was just sad. I think they are stretching out the inevitable, Jr’s website looks like the real deal, if just a touch amateurish. Unfortunately, none of this current “storyline” constitutes a TV show and you have to wonder how long Discovery/TLC will hang in there. Judging by what we’ve seen tonight, one might conclude it is already too late. I was hoping for more, maybe that’s my fault, but this is becoming a waste of time. Too bad, so sad, love Dad.

I ve lived this show since day 1 but since they moved to the new shop the show has just got so boring like they never show them painting the bike and stuff like that and there isn’t any fun stuff anymore like destroying everything. Sr is an idiot the company is going to fail without jr but I do hop they survive or get sold to some decent company. Jr and Mikey I love u and hope u do well with your new careers.

It would be good to see Vinnie and Cody to have their own show on discovery channel.

  98. 98 Steve Nov 16th, 2009 at 8:20 am

I watched the new episode the other night, and to watch Junior screwing some cheap plastic onto a Coleman grill with his ditsy girlfriend, and Mikey playing chopsticks on a piano at some old lady’s house was truly sad and pathetic. Good luck and good bye guys.

Like to see the fabrication side of the business.
Paul Jr. couldn’t get to work on time and Mikey even with 5 weeks of vacation still missed 65 days of work. How many of you could have kept you’re job with records like that. Family business or not, the boys were just spoiled little brats that killed the golden goose. Too bad! I do wish them all the best in the future, so much talent going to waste. Bummer!

I have been watching OCC from getgo, but in reality when Vinnie left the heart went out of the show. Vinnie and Paul Jr’s obvious tight friendship kept the show going. Vinnie was right to leave if he ever wanted to acheive his own goals and the same now goe’s for Paul Jr. Mikey was an intrical part of the show, just a big lovely bear. Paul Sr Started to beleive his own hype and his ego got bigger & bigger and for me is the destruct mechanism to the show. The Monster OCC setup will now simply reduce due to the likely ending of the show. Why not switch to Vinnie’s Company to see if he can deliver as well as OCC, a kinda of follow-up few shows. Warts and all.

It’s really sad to me to see what has happened to the Tuetals. Of course our generation, the baby boomers, many of us worked in family business’s and got screwed by our parents. That being said, I think Paul Jr and Mickey got the shaft from the old man. I’m watching the program right this minute, but I have to admit, I don’t like the new crew. They are acting like a bunch of clowns.
Good luck Paul Jr and Mickey, you are missed. I believe in your honor, I will no longer watch the show. I am sick of hearing Paul Sr and his crew of ***** munchers put you two down.

the show is just not watchable with out Mikey and Junior, they were the heart of the show, to bad the old mans ego got the best of him so he kicked them to the dumpster… future family gatherings for the Teutels will probley end up as episodes on “COPS”.

  109. 109 British Bulldog Dec 7th, 2009 at 4:09 pm

Why has Paul Snr got such a big ego? Paul Jnr.was the design brains ,but the old goat had to show who was boss and now its gone tits up.

He has alienated all his kids from himself and will end up a lonely old man wondering where he went wrong.
His yes men will soon be gone as everything starts going down hill and then he will find himself on his own all because of his ‘Burton Head’
You carry on as you are Paul, give your Mike a helping hand as he looks up to you and he HAS got a talent.
Paul Snr., stop being an arsehole or you will be sorry for the rest of your life.

Good Luck Paul Jnr. And Mikey

I agree with most of above AC has had its day I hardly watch it anymore the decline started when vinnie left. All you people who criticise Paul jr obviously dont understand how to manage creatives. Creativity cant be 9 to 5 monday to friday thats production. Creatives have to be nurtured and spoilt. Go to any successful software house, design studio or production company and you will find people wandering in and out working in gardens on laptops playing table football and working at 10pm. You wont fing a clocking in machine. You manage creatives not control them or the creativity dries up. Paul snr runs a factory not a design studio anymore.

  112. 112 Dean Dec 8th, 2009 at 3:25 pm

They all traitors! Sr. make them a man’s, non one will understand Sr. all what he is doing is for the good of everubody. Hey Vinnie, Cody, Jr., Mickey remember who is your temple.

  113. 113 Zoz Dec 9th, 2009 at 1:54 pm

Common, they are all fake! Senior is just a cool old man who had some good and some bad moments in his life but at least he done something, made his own business, build a occ brand…
His two kids are just spoiled morons. Junior acting like designer star, big face, but he is just a joke, pretending to be some kind of artist or whatever, made me laughing only to think about that, like he has some great ideas, visions, skills.
And Mike, what a lazy, uninteresting person, useless, who would not survive even a day in real world without his big daddy. He has no idea what a life is without somebody to protect him like his father are doing I wish I had a father like senior to provide me with everything he gave to them!
So, go on big man, mistake you made in the past when you was a wild one are behind you. Don’t let your kids use you all those years because of that. And that’s what are they doing!

  114. 114 annette foster Dec 10th, 2009 at 8:24 pm

Paul SR needs to wake up and ask himself “what did I do to drive BOTH of my sons away ” Paul Jr wants NOTHING to do with SR and poor Mikey is such floundering like a fish and now hes in rehab. How every sad. Sr is SO narcissistic that he threw all his cash into MAC and NOW with no sons behind him and the show ending he is screwed. Thanks TLC you ruined yet ANOTHER family dynamic.. Hope your happy. The raked in so much money for you and you idiots dont even care that ONE more family is in turmoil cuz of YOUR greed.

  116. 116 peter jensen Dec 13th, 2009 at 5:57 am

just seen the last (?) episodes of american chopper.
Man, some ugly bikes they made after Mikey and junior left.

Senior is gonna die a lonely old man now he alienated his own family. How many of his “friends” will stay when he no longer pays them ?

Juniors gf is damn sexy but watching the bike building without Mike and Junior is like watching paint dry.

  117. 117 Frank Broughton Dec 14th, 2009 at 10:53 am

haha – hook line and sinker all of you! You are falling for it and lining their pockets big time! It is ALL scripted.

  118. 118 Jeffrey Dec 14th, 2009 at 5:04 pm

I think sr wasn’t there when they were young and tried to make up for it later, which was good, but he stared to treat them like crap in the end. I just watched an episode where Mikey was upset about the way his father treated him and he started to cry-no son should have to deal with that. Mikey asked his fathe a few episodes ago to treat him with respect and he apologized and gave him the triumph, but sr. still treats him bad. I feel for Mikey, he has a good heart.

  119. 119 Jeffrey Dec 14th, 2009 at 5:09 pm

Sorry-peter-didn’t see your post, but you are absolutely right-without those two it’s not worth watching-the family thing was cool and sr got out of hand!

yea i hope mikey and paul junior keep there shares of the business and kick srs butt.
your right they probably made a ton of money while the seried ran and have no money worries
paulie seemed to be the brains of the outfit anyway design wise
i see vinnie and cody have formed their own biz
i dont know what design talents sr has. im sure he has copies of all of paulies designs
i really think paulie has alot more of design ability than designing grills for coleman
im just surprised he hasnt opened his own custome bike shop

  123. 123 MEDham1 Dec 17th, 2009 at 10:53 pm

Paul Jr…made OCC what it is as far as what I have seen on TV and the internet…now that may be wrong but I remember watching years ago when all Paul Sr. did was order parts and bitch at Paul Jr. that the next drop mouth kick ass awesome bike was not yet done…nevermind that Paul Jr. and Vinny basically designed all the early bikes that put them on the map..I think that Paul Jr. just wanted to step back and have a life and perhaps start a family and that would mean working less at OCC which like I said before he pretty much made with Vinny.

  124. 124 tony Dec 17th, 2009 at 11:48 pm

watched the show from day one. (my tv night) they jumped the shark when Vinnie and Cody left .its never been the same.

  125. 125 Becky...Seattle Dec 18th, 2009 at 1:27 am

I could see the end coming during the Billy Joel bike. I agree..I miss Vinnie the most, and Junior is spoiled. Jason?…give me a break…Jason is designing bikes? That really changed the show for me. I wish all of them well. They entertained us for sure, but I hope when the spotlight fades they all can forgive and get along. Mikey is a talented funny guy. He is just not a bike builder, and I am glad he is finally going to do somethiing with his life. If he wants to be an artist…great. I wish you well.

I think the OCC palace will eventually be bought out by some other company, and the production bikes were a big mistake.

The OCC logo was so cool, and inspired…..and Paulie’s JR Design logo is boring. What happened Paulie?

I wish them all the best. I’m sure we’ll be hearing from them for years…not necessarily through American Chopper, but they seem to know how to get attention.

  126. 126 edgo Dec 18th, 2009 at 6:07 am

I seem to remember that it wa Jr’s GF who designed the logo.

  128. 128 Stewb5 Dec 21st, 2009 at 7:02 am

Just watched the show last night here in Georgia former USSR, and until last night, I was unaware that the show format had changed.
I have always thought from the start that Sr is and always will be a “bully”.

Paul Jr, Vinnie, Rick and Jason are the only talented guys. They are /were the mainstay’s of the original show. Mike is a lazy spoiled brat with no talent, not even as an artist, but at least he brought a bit of a laugh to the show.

Paul Sr’s new buisness will fizzel out without the rest of the guys being involved.

Paul Jr’s buisness will probably suceed because of his name. He should get his girlfriend more involved and have her forget about the chlothes shop. She is a real cutiepie and hot, and should be an asset to his buisness.

Very sad to hear all the terrible things that are happening with this family. They made a lot of truely fascinating, gorgeous bikes for quite a while. I hope that the company can survive without Paul Jr’s creativity in his bike designs. Paul Sr is getting older and should have allowed his Jr to take over the company even more. Don’t get me wrong, Paul Sr has made some great bikes, but Jr and Rick, and Vinnie who left a few years ago did a lot of the best work. I agree that the show became much different after Vinnie left. Vinnie, Paul Jr, Rick, and Mikey all really made the show. The disagreements between Jr and Sr were interesting for a while but now that Jr is almost done with the company, what is going to happen to it? Are they just going to make your average production bikes for the company now and not do the high profile custom bikes anymore? It is very sad to see a family fall apart over something like this and not be able to work things out. I miss the way the show used to be. I wish the best for the whole family and especially for Paul Jr. He is a very talented individual who has potential to do so much more with his gifts. I hope Mikey finds something to do with his career also if he eventually leaves. Mikey, Paul Jr, Rick and Vinnie should start their own company. I used to love this show.

  133. 133 leo thomas Jan 5th, 2010 at 3:55 pm

Did enjoy the show, ( most times ) but it has run its course & when they came to the UK & visited all the sites it was embarrasing to see them in vests & shorts at some of the venues. Of course its not the end we will be seeing years & years of re-runs. Thank god I’ve got a sapper.

  134. 134 serfilthy Jan 7th, 2010 at 11:33 pm

Well any father that treats his kids like that and lets his employes talk about them like that is a freaking clown.Jr made the show what it was, vinnie was also great they made great bikes, what are they making know,do you hear anybody talking and saying woow did you see the bike there making now,All thats left is sr with a bunch of clowns that brown nose him…

  135. 135 Fred Jan 7th, 2010 at 11:34 pm

If Jr said you aren’t riding a real bike if it didn’t cost $50K then he is a true jerk.

In fact the few bikers I know would say you have to be a complete tool to spend $50,000 on a motorcycle.

I was in NYC (Queens) with some buds. We walked out of a bar and there was a very nice candy apple red, stretched out chopper. This was during the height of OCC popularity so we took notice. It looked very nice, S&S motor, lots of chrome, very clean in design albeit without 75 doodads welded on.

We started talking to the owner. He said he had built choppers, including this one as a hobby and had sold a few.

I asked how much would he want for one like this, he said about $12K. I was like “WHAT?!? I’ve seen Big Dog choppers for $35K+ and I can’t imagine what an OCC chopper would cost!” He said you’re only paying for the name on those bikes, there’s no real reason at all for them to be so expensive.

I could not say it any better — Paul Sr is an arrogant Your Sons Made the Show.

You’re gong to be a lonely OLD MAN… You Blew a GOOD thing!!!

They are your SONS you fool-

Your just an Iron man Paul Sr and I believe you’re a Iron headed FOOL..

When the show goes off the air you will have nothing………

    Jul 23rd, 2009 at 11:58 am
Paul sr is an arrogant a-hole. Paul jr brought class and style to OCC and he’s compensated by his father tossing him out. He likely fears his son might be a better bike builder than he ever was. Take the bikes out of it and Paul jr is a better man than pops could ever dream to be.

The old man in on an infinity ego-trip and he probably deserves to take a hard fall. Too much money, too much adulation, too much excess on all fronts.”

  137. 137 Logsy Jan 11th, 2010 at 6:52 am

You could tell the direction of OCC had completely changed over the last season too. I’m a late comer to the American Chopper series but you could tell that the OCC company had different goals.

Paul Sr, I think is more concerned about pushing a global brand- notice in the latest season he surrounds himself with a lot of business managers and the like….He needs to remember what the entire thing about bike building is all about. Paul Jr and Mickey seemed to be kinda about building bikes, I seriously think these two have been seeing shrinks or therapists. They seem to be dealing with the bullshit of the company and the dad now. Also is it just me or at the end of the final episode of the latest season of Chopper when Mickey and Paulie were chatting, it appeared the Mickey broke ‘keyfabe’ (it’s a wrestling term- wrestlers are mean’t to keep to character or script) I think there were a few things that mickey said that weren’t mean’t to be aired. Maybe Paulie and Mickey have some rules about what kinda stuff is to be discussed or whatever in front of camera.

Paul Jr, I think will be a force to deal with outside of this series. He actually seemed to have some real passion and talent- it’s just sad because he should really be running OCC- Paul Sr, should get back to helping building bikes might actually recapture some happiness. So good luck to Paul Jr and Mickey- I wonder if OCC will still be going like they are without the coverage of Discovery. My only fear is that Paul Jr, is going to run short in an overall design company- he might get stuck just doing small customisations for productions- like labels, plates or the like. I don’t think he has the overall skills to actually be designing production or industrial goods- I say he should open a bike shop- he knows bikes and can design some amazing ones but he can also acquire some outside designs projects like the stove stuff too, but it’s not his bread and butter.

If you want to see amazing choppers and bikes being built watch Biker Build-Off instead…. Paul Sr, come back down to earth, and get back to your roots…

  138. 138 Jimbosidecar Jan 11th, 2010 at 9:50 am

Yeah, the show was scripted. If the dad didn’t fight with the sons every show, nobody would watch or so TLC thought. I did meet Vinney in Daytona at Bikeweek 2008. Really decent guy. Spent 15 or 20 minutes just shooting the breeze with me. Wouldn’t say too much about his former employers except he wanted to do something different with his career “Being honest” was what he said. I also tried to meet up with the Tuetels at Bikeweek 2007. Wouldn’t give you the time of day.
But being a bike builder myself, I agree with the posts that said a rising tide lifts all ships and we got a rise because of their popularity. But I still think all the talent in that show belonged to Vinney and the painter.

  139. 139 J. IRWIN Jan 14th, 2010 at 9:47 pm

YOU WILL SOON LAUNCH A LEADERSHIP REVOLUTION. Paul, dream BIG. I mean real big. There is an industry calling your name. Just remember this; “RECOGNITION”, babies cry for it and men die for it.

  140. 140 Tammy Jan 14th, 2010 at 11:49 pm

I will stop watching once the Mikey/Paulie appearances end. Paul Sr. is a very disturbed man that would benefit a great deal with some couselling. I could not believe a grown man would speak of, abuse and mistreat such nice young men. Hopefully the break from their father will help them to break the cycle of abuse that their father came from.

  141. 141 Rudy Brauer Jan 15th, 2010 at 3:38 pm

Well,it was a good run for the show fellas.Im really sorry things turned out the way they did for Jr. and Mikey with Sr.I have the same problem with my father, but moving on is the way to go. I know things will work out for Jr.and Mikey. Both of them are creative and are willing to put themselves out there. If you guys read this,Good luck to both of you,you are going to be OK without OCC. I believe OCC is going to go down the tubes very soon anyway.Your father is going to come around one day when he realizes what he has lost.Being so immeresed with the daily goings on of OCC he has not had the oppournity to reflect on his actions and decisions.I wish you guys and your whole family the very best in the future.I have really enjoyed the show.

  142. 142 Belinda Lowe Jan 16th, 2010 at 12:21 pm

The fact of the matter remains. Time changes people. The Teutuls started out with a dream in 1999 and made it happen. It doesn’t change the fact that at the end of the day they’re average, every day normal people just like everyone else in this world. They had the balls and the know how to not only run a business, but turn it into a show that became a huge hit. It was a good run and I definitely enjoyed it and I’m looking forward to seeing how things turn out. If Paul, Pauly or Mikey made good or bad choices in their lives, or continute to…does it really make them any different than us? Paul Sr. is doing his thing. Paul Jr. is obviously trying to spread his wings and have a life of his own and Mikey…well, time will tell.
I wish the Teutul Family much joy and happiness and all the best in life.

  143. 143 B Jan 18th, 2010 at 12:39 am

The show hasn’t been about building bikes since they left the “two shows per bike” format. At that time you got to really see the design, fabrication, etc. You got to see decisions being made and how problems were worked out. Now it’s “here’s what we’re building…poof…here’s the bike.”

  144. 144 serfilthy Jan 18th, 2010 at 4:30 pm

What kinda father cuts his sons eyes of the the truck….seriously i work with my father and we get into it pretty bad bad i have never let anyone speak of him like sr lets his employes speak of his kids. the rest of the workers there are no talented people they put designs in a computer and press ok the machine makes them they put it togther…. before you saw them make bikes make the pieces that clown jason is a tool he thinks his the creative one because he pastes and drops and vola….i like the old days of making real bikes real choppers, not those clown electronic pieces of shit the make now. have you seen any close up like you used to see before or any theme bikes no just shit power comp[any bikes that nobody will buy., and senior your a freaking tool power trip galour what do you think you made this company no no old man your the one thats bringing it down with all those clowns you have sarowneded your self with because when push come to shove these guys will shove you under a bus. Venise

  145. 145 Theresa Jan 21st, 2010 at 8:25 pm

I’ve seen a few episodes each season—it ha become sooo BORING! Father Paul is in love with himself. It’s too bad he never treated his sons like he treats his present employees. His ego istoooo big!

  146. 146 Ken Jan 22nd, 2010 at 12:10 pm

If Paul Sr. treated his sons half as well as his dog Gus, he might have a relationship with them. In all the years that Chopper has been on, I never once heard a single positive acknowledgement of Paul Jr’s contribution to a build, a design, or anything. If Sr did say anything positive it was always directed at the “it” never to a person and certainly never to Paul Jr. I wish both Paul and Mikey well, and I hope Sr seeks help with his addiction for abuse of his offspring.

  147. 147 Chris Jan 24th, 2010 at 4:47 pm

I can understand Paul Sr. frustration with JR.
Jr. acts more like an employee than an owner, ex: frequently late, screwing off, not calling when he is late or has an appointment. Goes missing.

    He is a primadonna.

He needs to work for himself, apparently he can’t follow rules!

  148. 148 Terry Jan 25th, 2010 at 12:16 am

I have watched the program from the beginning.
I always felt that it was Paul Jr. that really built the business and never really got very much appreciation or respect from Sr. It’s too bad that Jr. is really not with the program any longer. I find just watching the program with Sr. now to be poring and laborious and I have better things to do with my time.

best of luck Jr. some day, Sr. will realize that it was your talent that built his empire……the one that is now stale and is crumbling, even if he can’t see it.

  149. 149 B Jan 25th, 2010 at 12:39 am

I’d say they built it together. They are really the perfect pair if they would both just chill. Sr has the “oomph” (for lack of a better term) to push the business forward and Jr is the creative force. The bikes have been much, much less creative since Jr left. The problem is that neither (Sr in particular) recognizes the others contributions to the business. With that said, Sr is obviously the main problem. All of the brothers get along with each other and none of them speaks to Sr. If B, C, and D get along fine and A has a problem with B, C, and D then A is the problem. I agree with Terry, the show is boring now without Jr and it has nothing to do with the fights. It has to do with the fact that the bikes are boring because everyone falls in line with Sr’s idea that the most important thing is to hurry and finish. There is no creativity to them.

  150. 150 Lamb Jan 26th, 2010 at 1:56 pm

Well guys, I was always told, if your not for sure about anything,, step out of the box and look around..
So as I see it there’s already 150 comments in just this site alone,, not to mention others who has provided the same approach on the matter.. Have you ever thought, this was more about the producers saying, heyyyy lets put this in and that in,, add some excitement to the table,, and just maybe it could of caused some back burners in family to surface.. Who knows.. But OCC when I saw a episode come on,, the tv was tuned into you. And always remember Family who you love will not always be here. We never know what tomorrow brings. I believe taking breaks is good,, to see what you miss or haven’t missed. Paul,, do your production bikes, as I saw it they were successful. And to add one more thing. I’m not for sure as a producer I would want to break any family up for the kicks of getting high tv ratings.. So Producers,, remember American Choppers made you alot of money too. And Family is first,, So with that Take American Chopper and crew and family,, you made me laugh, and say wow.. and I’m still watching re-runs.

  151. 151 johno7771 Jan 31st, 2010 at 6:02 pm

I liked the show when it first started, but like most reality shows, you get involved with the characters. Here’s my humble view.

Sr is a total egotistical prick, who has bullied his way around people most of his life, including his family (apart from doddery old ma Teutul, who still thinks he’s an altar boy).

He was a drugs and drink fiend when he was bringing the boys up (his own admission), He was in the Marines, but worked in the supply stores ffs……..where was the tough guy then? (They do say bullies are the biggest cowards)

Can you imagine him coming back on the weekend out of his head shouting and screaming…………..No wonder those boys are damaged and the third son has cut all ties with him altogether………………I feel nothing but pity for Paul and Mikey. But in reallity paul is not really a designer as such………he’s an enhancer (i.e he enchances what trained designers have developed)……..and a very good one ( do a degree and learn it properly) , he won’t be short of money…………Sorry Mikey………..put the paint brushes and piano away………You are not artistic and never will be, Your drawings are too infantile to be infantile and noone can play keyboards with sausage fingers……….go on a web design course and so something useful……or have a beer or 6.

Like most of the folk on here…….Vince was the true hero of the show..he got things done and no farting around…….he will definately succeed………I served my apprenticehip as a fab/welder and it was great seeing all the old tools and skills again…….and being used properly by most of the staff except Sr. and Mikey……..Jason is king of the nerds……….
and Steve has a mysterious hold on Sr…… he son No4?………….I dunno…….don’t care……………Good luck Jr………..Mikey…….getto outta that bar………..Steve…….. get outta Seniors Ass and Sr………Instant Karma’s gonna get ya………..

  152. 152 steelJ Feb 1st, 2010 at 5:55 am

Firstly, I’m a time served Welder/Fabricator, and have worked heavy steel and decorative/light metals all my life.

I have watched OCC, every now and then,…..Let me tell you straight. Some nice designs, let’s not blow this outta proportion (there’s a lotta great designers out there) , but the whole set up of the firm is a disgrace to the trade.
Now I like a bit of fun in the workshop like anyone else but who wants to come into work on a Monday morning and the owner of the firm and his sons are throwing chairs through office windows, smashing down doors etc. Lets be honest folks, that’s not a serious workplace.

Skills wise Vinny, Rick, Christian and Jr are all good tradesmen, I know Vinny and Cody have left (good luck both of ye)….But Rick and Christian must be getting great appearance money, Cos I don’t know any tradesmen at that age who could handle a workshop like that, skilled men don’t take that shit, but senior wouldn’t know tht cos he’s not a skilled man.

This is Sr’s problem……..He keeps talking about how has been around steel all his life, ok Senior what can you do………Can you weld……erm………..No……Can you fabricate……….erm ……No……Can you rivet…..No…..can you turn metal, mill metal? no…..FFs the man can barely use a measuring tape……..He can heat up metal with an oxy/acet torch and roughly bend it the “old fashioned way….by the eye” as he puts it (erm…..that’s not the old fashioned way Sr that’s the amateur way), that’s all folks……….I’m sure he has been around steel all his life, but he’s been 2 busy roaring and bawling at other people to be concentrating on doing something with the steel………….

Now he gets a TV show, where he is in charge of skilled tradesmen………….Hey that’s a bit like putting a cowboy in the White House aha!!, Now do you gettit.
I must admit a lot of the bikes were nice but some were very clownish…….joke bikes, if you will…………..ffs….did anyone see the Crane bike…….wtf was that about, how embarassing
However, as soon as truckloads of money entered the scene, you could see all the attitudes changing. Senior actually started thinking it was “all his hard work over the years that got them to where they were”………sorry mate……it was Discovery Channel………….Junior started thinking he was almost a genius, because of all the attention he was getting ………..sorry mate……..Discovery Channel again…………….and Mikey started thinking he was a painter/musican……..sorry mate……………I can’t even blame Discovery for that crap.
When the programme goes off the air, and people lose interest (and they will)……..they will realise wht they missed.

Anyway……..good luck to the boys…they’ve been thru’ hell with Senior the ………..erm “Steel man”………wish you all the best lads………….Your mother did a great job on yez

PS Paul…….Get rid of the dizzy blonde………….I can see what she’s up to already…….I can see courts and libel cases in the future there……………and guess what …’s all on camera

    Good luck all steel workers

Paul Jr. and Sr. disagreement and Jr. leaving was all a marketing stunt. They a every successful business and they want to expand and made it fun in the process. Come on who would have a heated argument like that on national TV. It”s all show business.

  154. 154 someguy Feb 4th, 2010 at 11:27 pm

Junior will fail, Paul will do fine. Junior made the mistake many young folks make. They believe that a lot of talent and a little success entitles them to behave any way they want and be supported by the world order they percieve (incorrectly!)

Junior is rapidly learning that the best thing that ever happened was a father that TRIED to set him up with a hell of a career, which chance Junior blew off! Senior is gruff and doesn’t want to hear a lot of S__T! How the hell did he ever become successful?! (that was sarcasm ya’ll) Everybody said Senior would be lost without the kids. What horse hockey. He built the company, he had the plan, the drive, the understanding that the customer mattered. He never thought that Junior built the best bikes in the world, he knew damned well that it was marketing, taking advantage of luck, and work like hell.

Hey, wait, that’s the same way he started all the success that he enjoyed while junior was still playing patty cake. Some want to say that Senior owes Junior something because he wasn’t the best father ever. Crap. What he owes the whining little puke is letting him go out on his own and see just what the hell he can make by himself. The answer seems to be not a hell of a lot so far. Senior might have spoiled the kids with too much money and fame for too little commitment, but at least he finally saw the truth of what a jerk Junior was, how little he respected the gifts and work of his father, and what a narcissistic entitled little punk he was becoming. Senior might have saved his son by firing him. Time will tell.

Ive watched the show off and on for years. Enjoyed the drama between Sr. and Jr. in the begining. It was entertaining. And coming myself from a disfunctional family myself. I wondered how it would turn out while the world watched. It didnt turn out good. As we see. Paul Jr. is a lazy, spoiled rich kid. The only thing he had going for him was his father pushing him. This show has made them millions of dollars. Im sure that anything money can buy is available to all of them… But money cant fix there broken family….

  159. 159 Troy Faircloth Feb 10th, 2010 at 5:02 pm

Paul Jr. should start building bikes himself. His father has a bad attitude toward his kids.
I have continued to watch the show to try and keep up with Paul Jr and Mikey.

Jr would shut Sr down in the industry doing his own thing.

The series is ending. What does that tell ya?

Good Luck to Jr. and Mikey.

OCC WORLD HEADQUARTERS!!!!! what a joke and what a huge mistake. Can you say bankruptcy, this business and this show is in its death throes.

  161. 161 Bill Feb 11th, 2010 at 8:50 pm

The wife and I have watched OCC SHOW for years and injoyed it ,don’t get me wrong didnt agree
with everthing that went on but lived with it. the big thing was the fighting that went on between
jr and sr, but let it go as far as letting it get this far letting the show go off air , other employees of
O,C,C, trying to take over and not talking to each other is going to bit them in the back side if they
let it go on much longer. I know from experence that I’m not proud of I didn’t speek to my Brothers
for 14 years and it herts not being able to talk to family. That is or should be one of the most important things there is.

  162. 162 Scott Feb 11th, 2010 at 9:44 pm

Paul Sr. is probably as big of a moron as Boyyd Coddington was. Money is the bottom line. Doesn’t care about anything else, except probably his dog, which he treats better than his family.

  163. 163 E.J. Feb 11th, 2010 at 10:48 pm

Senior Paul would never cut Paul Jr. in on a decent percentage of the business and the millions he made in shirts, hats, golf balls, etc..etc. The Man is a greedy and selfish egomaniac as well as a traitor to his own son(s) I deeply despise the man because my own father sold me out and burned me badly just for the money. These kinds of people are everywhere, so everyone needs to look out for these abusive, greedy and parasitic people. Senior?…..I hope your house burns to the ground…with you inside.

I really feel that Paul Sr. is a meat and potatoes “good” builder at best. His son, Paul Jr. has a great creative streak and the shop had a couple of really good fabricators. This is what made the company…Sr. should have mended fences with his children and sent all of those fuggin gray faced, pasty, soft, corporate yes men running. Those douche bags ran the show into the ground. The goofy fat kid that runs the CAD programs is pretty good at CAD, but is shit awful at coming up with something original. I think rick is a shit fab and the other guy with brown hair. those two stay and clena house with the rest. I would re structure the company. Tell my younger blond bimbo wife to STFU and mend fences with the family. Go smaller again…you don’t want to be a mattel or nike…you want to be a cartier!

Paul Sr. if you happen to read this, and I think you will with your ego, You were given a golden ring to make up for whatever shit you did when you were you younger. Take care of your family and you family will take care of you. Ditch your venomous blond bimbo wife. Every since you married her your relationship has been strained.
Bring Jr and Mikey back to the comany, Jr and mikey as minority shareholders of 25.5% a piece. That way you can overrule any one of their silly moves, but together they can stop you from making anymore jackass decisions.
Get a management company in place to run the day to day business ops.
Then you guy’s hire a couple of really talented builders and do what you do best. Fabricate and show your pieces. Did you not get the hint when every one of your customers asked where paul jr and mikey were? They don’t want to see you…they want to see them.
you’re the figurehead…you’re the guy behind the name that gives Biker Cred to the build….nobody is gonna look at you and your past and say you’re a poser! You’re a biker with 2 very cool kids that appeal to people use em and get over yourself!

  167. 167 Tr1gg3rF1sH Feb 12th, 2010 at 2:22 pm

I meant to say rick and the guy with the brown hair were shit HOT Fabsm and her should keep them and get rid of the rest……oops!

  168. 168 Ronald Feb 12th, 2010 at 8:49 pm

The move by Paulie was long overdue. His dad may be the shrewd businessman, but the clients were purchasing Paulie’s designs.

  169. 169 Jerome Jasinkowski Feb 12th, 2010 at 10:13 pm

I would love to see Paul Jr and Mikey Get together And Build Bikes And put the old man out of Business, Plus them People At Occ that was involved in getting rid of P\aulie And Mikei,y, put all there butts out on the streets collecting unemployment,
paul Jr could And Should Build Bikes Under HIs Company Name, PaulJr designs, people every where would buy his bikes, he was the brains of that company, his father was a dried up old drunk, he felt the world revolved around him only,
its a good thing paul jr has 20 % of OCC, thats better then nothing, i dont think mikey got any thing, sooner or later, that company will fold.

  170. 170 Ray Feb 13th, 2010 at 12:44 am

I’ll keep it short and sweet. I really enjoyed your show and watching the huys in the shop build the bikes. I know of several guys my age that their fathers had started a successful business and they worked for a little while in the business and then just walked away from it. I even had to hire one who would not work in his fathers business and his father was a really nice guy and took care of his kid. Any way I hope the very best for all the Teutuls in their new adventures. I for one will sadly miss the show.

  171. 171 steven Feb 14th, 2010 at 4:11 pm

i think u should go on your own and design bikes for different companys i think lots of builders would love to have your designs they were the best i have ever seen..

  172. 172 HiCap45 Feb 14th, 2010 at 6:51 pm

I have watch the show since the first episode. The shop? The reputation? All the fruits of the labor of Paul Sr. It is Paul Sr. that has the work ethic, that understand the meaning of “obligation’ and “responsibility”. He took the risk to build the company. He put in the long hours and days to do what had to be done so the company would succeed. He expects Paul Jr to do what everyone else at OCC to do … be at work on time when you are suppose to. Then there is Paul Jr. It is Paul Jr. with his “I will come to work when I feel like showing up”. While I give him all the credit he deserves for his mechanical/building skills the fact remains that he is spoiled to the point of believing “I can do WHAT I want to do, WHEN I feel like doing it”. Everyone else, Vinnie, Christian, Rick … they all knew they had to be at work ON TIME and meet their obligation to the boss. And like it or not Paul Sr. was “the boss”. It’s his company. He built it. Last — a absolutely least — is Mikey. Mikey is a lazy, spoiled, pampered, never-had-to-hold-a-job bum. He’s a mooch. I do not say that without reason but because that’s a fact. The OCC shop was just a “place to come around & hang out” when he felt like it. And when he was there all he did was play and goof around … goof around and play. And for that Paul Sr paid him? As long as it was “FUN”…there was Mikey! When there was travel and a good time? THERE WAS MIKEY! But when it was time to start the days work he was not there. When work was being done he was not doing it. Paul Sr is a skilled builder and successful businessman that started his own company. GOOD FOR HIM! Paul Jr. is a skilled builder that hooked a free ride on the fruits of Daddy’s labors. AND I RESPECT HIS BIKE BUILDING TALENT! Mikey is a pampered whiner that never developed beyond the lazy irresponsible crybaby he is. Hey Mikey? Try getting a job like a big boy. Try being an adult for a change. See what it’s like to HAVE TO produce and EARN your money. Try working and earning your own money as opposed to playing and living off what Daddy gives your. Grow up. Mature. End (if you can) your laziness.

For those of you that don’t know:

Your indicates ownership – Your house, your car.
You’re is the contraction for You Are – You’re cute, you’re late.

There indicates a location – There on the floor, we were there.
Their signifies ownership – Their house, their car.

Please speak and write proper English. It is not rocket science.

I hope this is said “tongue-in-cheek”, Mr. Hughes, because if you are serious??? …… You may want to go back to fourth grade and maybe hire a student to tutor you in spelling as well, because I don’t think the teacher could handle it alone! I was going nuts as I read many of the posts on this site. The most frustrating ones before I got to this, were the two that I read from “supposed” teachers, whose grasp of the English language (and the spelling thereof) were sad at best and frightening at worst. It’s like society has lost its emphasis on basic learning skills in school…..or the average schooling of the average person who posts online is about 8th grade level (and that is being kind). Is this a fair representation of the cultural apathy that seems to be prevalent in the United States in the 21st century? If so…..Is anyone truly surprised at the current state of the economy here and abroad??? I imagine that foreigner’s in chat rooms have a hard time taking American citizen’s seriously, when they can speak, spell and write better than the average adult in the U.S. by the age of ten! My goodness people……if you KNOW you can’t spell, are you too lazy to at LEAST use SPELL CHECK???? How long would it take you to copy/paste your post into an email box in Outlook Express…..or Microsoft Word…or Works…or a plethora of other spell checking programs available on the web. At least then it would look like you cared whether or not people will take you seriously or not. Show some self pride. I’m not saying I’m perfect either. I made 2 spelling mistakes myself. The difference is that I took the time to spell check it and then fix the mistakes.

Please understand me folks. I’m not here ripping the average guy posting on this thread (or ANY thread for that matter). Some people haven’t had the chance to receive proper education for one reason or another…and other comments are likely written by young children (as in 10-13 year olds), who maybe haven’t gotten to advanced English yet. It’s the teachers, business professionals and people (like the person I quoted in this post) who claim to be “inventors who sell their idea’s to big corps” that make me throw my hands up in wonder and disgust at their lack of ability to spell the most common of words, or repeatedly use improper homonym’s (their/there, where/wear, your/you’re, etc). It just drives me crazy when I see someone (ESPECIALLY a TEACHER!!!!!) who call themselves a professional, who can’t spell basic English words!

    My venting is complete…..for now.

i think Paul senior should sell his brand to the Chinese & get royalties n take a chill pill or
Build some buggy car with motor engines like the Atom
The bikes are great but its all about the price and if it could get to the general public at the right price and fulfill the global audience demand at the right price.
I would hate to see paul senior suffer in any way, he looked sad & i felt he was under allot of stress looked strong but mentally weak (star bike auction) i felt for the man he has a good soul.
The new team at OCC are all ass kissers to Paul and lacking the artist approach and the paint job design was average. From great they have gone to not bad.
Alot of his management team were ass kissers people who tried to keep Mikey under control are the reason to blame for poor management advice and yes boss approach.

  178. 178 xner Feb 26th, 2010 at 7:31 pm

I think the boys should do a reality check and look to see who made it possible for them to do what they did and make a ton of money doing so. I never saw one design or engineer drawing by Jr that amounted to anything. If it were not for Sr taking a chance with his original business to build bikes Jr still would be a DRUG ADDICT and Mikey would still be hanging from his mothers apron strings sn whining. It’s too bad that children of their age are so short sighted and selfish it makes me sick, as I have two boys just like Jr and Mikey. UNGRATEFUL!!!

Watching this show about OCC was interesting up to a point about family relationships and Seniors Giant ego, Paul Jnr. does have some talent but I think he rode on the back of Vinnie. Concerning the chopper as a road machine I know they are only good for straight line riding as they cannot compare to the Japanese Super bikes or the Italian Ducati that are really great engineered products.
Regarding Mikey, one can only wonder what this guy can rally do other than mess about and contribute nothing as a tradesman. Now that this show has ended it will still make money for the old man/. I have watched this show for two years and found that it became boring and repetitive and Paul Junior looking at the camera and babbling away about his contribution t o the making of an American Chopper.. I am a South African and a tradesman having served a 5 year apprenticeship in a machine shop and I appreciate good workmanship, and as I am still working at the age of 83 . I don’ti ride any more but my son and grand son are bikers on the big 1200cc machines.

Queridos amigos, Paul Jr , Mike
    Esta es mi umilde opinion
Os deseo la mejor de la suerte

  193. 193 Paul Ruddock Jun 29th, 2010 at 2:53 pm

The American Chopper is reality tv of the lowest order. Yes what was happening was real
alright and Jr had some awesome build ideas, I loved the Fire Bike in particular but all the
fighting detracted from the good stuff that was going on. I don’t know if the fact that the
Descovery Chanel made a spectacle of the Chopper Shop, warts and all helped any but
what do I know about “relity tv”? Mostly for shows like “Big Brother” I just switch off as to
me, that kind of “entertainement” is the least entertaining kind of tv! I like to see the end
results that came out of OCC, just enough to stop me switching channel.
I wish all concerned good luck in all they do, I just hope we don’t get to see any more of
This kind of lowest common denominator programming! As if American Hotrod wasn’t bad
    enough… RIP Boyde Coddington.

  194. 194 richard Jul 6th, 2010 at 10:00 pm

Over the years several people have told me about American Choppers and how wonderful it was. They recently started showing it on a free channel. Quite entertaining but I have yet to see any great fabrication and the bikes all look pretty much the same[pretty shitty], didn’t see much in the way of
    great design.

Paul Jr. just want to let you know if I had my choice of someone to build me bike it would be you! I have watched the show for years your bikes have blowen me away! You are the one who knows what people want in the this day and age. Sorry for the problems with your Dad, I had problems with my Mom and can understand how hard it is deal with. Just know you have a huge fan in me loved seeing you and Mickey at Texas Motor Speedway. Liking forward to your show!

  197. 197 Andy Jul 17th, 2010 at 10:17 am

Paul Jr. is phucked. He cant design anything other than a motorcycle, meaning he takes the same approach and thinks by customizing a Coleman stove to look like a bike its actually commercial design. The work he’s presented on tv is awefull. I feel the worst for his father who built the company up out of his shed. Paul Jr didn’t have the work ethic or responsibility to manage large groups of people and in the end wasnt willing to try. He thought his father was an ass for trying to get him to learn these things which are necessary to run any succesfull business which is all Sr wanted, for Jr to learn the ropes of running the business and leading by example. Unfortunatley Jr never wanted to step up to the ropes to learn to run the company someday.
Paul Jr. has no business ethic and when the Discovery cameras are gone his business will last a little while, mediocre at that.

  198. 198 Malcolm Whitfield Aug 12th, 2010 at 5:48 pm

I cauggt on to the OCC late due to taking a vacation away from t.v (about 4yrs). So now that I have seen about 50+ re-runs I can honestly say …. I am sad to see the OCC team break up. The dynamics between Jr. and Sr. were rough at times but they are father and son and love each very much. Mikey’s relationship with Jr. and his dad is the same yet different. They are a family. They are Men. America has been so damned sisy-fied that when men get loud at each other (cause that’s what we men do sometimes) people think the worst. I would agree that sometimes Sr. could not fully understand the true talent that his son posses partly because he learned it at a younger age than himself. Mikey is equally talented, however his talent lies in bringing everyone together through humor and quirky compassion. Vinnie was the odd man out – only because he was equally as talented in other ways and Sr. felt a bit threatened and did not know how to get past it. The dynamics of Vinnie, Mikey, Jr. Sr. and the crew was unique but not unlike any football team or any other men’s sport. In the end the job was completed. I wish they could have stayed together but change comes to all. I wish Vinnie and Cody good luck, I wish Jr. much sucsess and I wish Mikey, Sr, and the rest of the cast well wishes in all of there future endeavors.
I only wish I could have bought a bike that the OCC team had put together.
OCC was a men’s show… a show where men could be men, a show that America needed because very few shows celebrate men in America just being able to be guys. It wa real and it was real good.

Hello Paul Jr. The man who does more than he is paid for will soon be paid for more than he does. Surround yourself with honest and talented people with integrity starting with Vin and Mikey. Respect as you know goes a long way. You have the talent. Dad will come around and he will be happy for your success. Blood is thicker than gas and oil….. Good luck.

  201. 201 Norm Aug 14th, 2010 at 1:36 am

American Chopper and Orange County Choppers have an agreement signed by all that appear on the show. A non competition clause for one year, Vinnie and Cody had to abide by that clause. Any reference to OCC is in violation of the contract. V-Power stands for the V twin engine and Vincent (Vinnie). You’ll notice Paul Jr was terminated last year. The only way he could start a chopper business before the year was over, was to create a new American Chopper theme. Senior vs Junior was probably on the books before last season’s episodes were finished. Paul Jr’s contract with the old American Chopper had to be fulfilled. Once that was done, Vinnie could join Paul Jr on his own terms. You have to realize, they get paid to do the show, maybe they get royalties, also. Paul Jr isn’t a businessman but he will have to learn. Mikey is still part of the show. Mikey is getting money for his part. Anyway these types of shows tend to tear families apart. As dysfunctional the family is Paul Sr rules. All of Paul Sr’s sons have been alienated, thrown aside by his controlling pride…. “It’s my way or the highway and if you don’t like it, don’t let the door hit your ass on the way out”. Some former employees of OCC are joining Paul Jr. Don’t be surprised by how many companies want Paul Jr to build a bike for them and street bikes for the riders.

OCC is a business. American Chopper is an advertising entity. The new show, Sr vs Jr, will be a proven entity. Paul Jr needs to outfit his shop. If I had a company that made products that Paul Jr can use, I would offer the products in exchange for advertising exposure. How many named tool product do you notice on OCC. Product placing is a way to have tools he will need for his shop. How many welding machine manufacturers are there? He could fill his shop. He needs a steel break, sheet metal cutter, round bar roller, power hammer and a large air compressor, etc. With the proper product placement, he could have his shop. Companies need more exposure and advertising costs a lot more than product placement.

i watch OCC eversince yes th fights was funny the 1st year but its gets old it look like it started looking fixed / setup i was about to stop watching the show intil Mikey no#1 he was what made the show last for a long time .. yes i wanted to see the designs by jr . but then they was hiring others to create even better then jr’s jr was all about gadgets but the hired add on crews was changing formation…. but the fact is the comedy of the show what kept me watching….was Mikey or the funny stuf they use to sabotage Senior Pauls now that what made me keep watching LMAO

I just wanted to say good luck paul jr, I dont see how you could have put up with all that B.S. for so long, I hope your new indevor will be a big success,I think now that you are gone from occ it will fall like a rock.

  204. 204 melissa Aug 20th, 2010 at 12:33 am

this show sucks.. all of you that have got caught up in this drama are idiots. i know the family and they all laugh at how you all think they hate each other. they have dinner every week together and laugh at all the money they make, you all have to be the dumbest idiots to believe they really hate each other.

  205. 205 australian bob Aug 20th, 2010 at 12:38 am

    melissa is totally right on. i hAVE seen the occ crew in australia and they are the biggest homos you will ever see. my brother picked a fight with senior and he sicked his bodyguard on him but he still wooped that ass. then he sciked the police on my bro and luckily the police said”fuck occ-you guys are homos” and we walked away laughing at occ homo ass.;

  206. 206 wolfman63 Aug 25th, 2010 at 6:53 pm

Watching this show had it’s moments…..Mikey was the real star. Listening to the bickering always made me want to turn it off.
All in all it was kind of like watching “Home Improvement” with motorcycles. Correction – with choppers.

  207. 207 Phoneman Aug 28th, 2010 at 3:53 pm

the ambulance chopper was stupid ! I could just see your really in bad shapet they slam you into this gizmo your flying down the road at a buck ten with two chrome exhaust pipes with no baffles blaring right next to my head I think i’ll walk or hitch a ride to the ER !!!!

  208. 208 David Sep 17th, 2010 at 12:41 pm

I just finished watching the first OCC show after Paul Jr. starts his own business. First of all I think Sr. is an ego maniac and the biggest jerk on TV. I take that back………Jason has proved that he is an opportunistic punk and possibly even a bigger jerk than Sr. I had a couple designers like Jason working for me when I had a business….I fired them after about a week!!! Next time he comes up with an idea like slinging a bike across the parking lot I hope he’s dumb enough to actually ride the bike!!!

  210. 210 Herbert Williams Jr. Sep 23rd, 2010 at 4:03 pm

First, I’d like to say, LOVE the show and the imagination that goes into building the bikes you create. I’ve been riding a couple of years but I sold my bike in order to get my son his first car. I needed to motivate him to do good in school and show him that if he does well, that I as a father shall always give him what he deserves. And, hopefully he will in turn do the same for his children in the future. I love HONDA bikes but after viewing your show for so long, it’s All American or nothing. When the man above chooses to bless me again with another bike I hope it’s from Paulie. Paulie in my view, you made your father the success he has enjoyed today with the imagination and workmanship you poses. While I’m writing this I’m watching American Chopper, this episode is about the Wolverine Bike. Paulie, your father should have just let you run the shop the way you and the boys did instead of always causing problems. It’s like he couldn’t live without it. Anyway, I could go on and on about this. Paulie and the crew, if you ever do fantasy bikes for your fans please, PLEASE consider me for one of the lucky winners. And Paulie if you ever decide to do distribution of your bikes outside of New York, consider my home town of Las Vegas, I would jump at the chance to work for you. If nothing else consider me to represent your style of custom bike here in Vegas and trust me your bikes say Vegas all over. I have a look that I’d like to see, if I could rep you here in Vegas. Tell your grandmother she looks good on television. Paulie you and the boys stay cool.

  211. 211 Herbert Williams Jr. Sep 23rd, 2010 at 4:17 pm

Hey Paulie also congratulation to you and your wife, she’s beautiful. You two should have some great looking children. If you have a boy or girl I hope they have that same imagination and take over the family business one day.

  212. 212 Charlie Chan Sep 29th, 2010 at 1:15 am

We watch OCC on the Discovery Channel here in Taiwan. It’s sad watching Americans with all their skills and talent reduced to making expensive toys and weapons because they can’t compete in the global economy any more.

P senior is just misserable old man with some money power there will be nothing interesting about him. I think he sucked pretty much about their boys. He will need his boys badly pretty soon. Truth is how much time really P senior has. P junior and MICKEY have to survive little while, then old dog will fall itself

Unbelievable how a father can destroy both his sons.
Paul Sr. is a deranged piece of shit.
Used too much dope to be normal ever.

Sr. should be prosecuted for mentally abusing his sons.
Paul Sr. I hope you lose what you have and die.

To the boys nothing but good wishes. Try to find your own way.

You don’t need Sr. He’s nothing. At least not in the human sence.

Wow- so many varried opinions! It is funny, they guy that came to my mind was Hulk Hogan. That guy was a professional “feud script writter”. He was on a defunct reality show, had a nauseating macho complex, lost his family and most likely went broke (now doing rinky dink TV ads). Imagine Paul Sr and Hulk Hogan together on a show- Scarry! By the way, I am not just throwing stones. Both my dad and I had that ugly “Macho Man” disease, that fractured our families forever. The horrifying tragedy, is that many men go to their grave, wearing this ugly and very destructive CLOAK.

    Best to all B.A.

  225. 225 Joe Dec 24th, 2010 at 4:17 am

America is really screwed up when people say someone should be prosecuted for mentally abusing someone. Maybe that person doesn’t have a spine to stand up for themselves and its their fault for being so weak. Paul Sr. did nothing wrong. His sons were given so much and do nothing for it. Ya Paul Jr. is very creative, but what did he even do. He showed up late all the time and would tell everyone else some ideas and they would be crunched on time to finish anything. Not only that but the only thing Jr. can do is make a widow bike. How many times does he have to make the same bike. If he was so creative he could have made so many other great bikes, but the one people see him in is the widow bike.

This note is for Mickey and I hope it gets to him. Mickey I am dissappointed in you as far as your Dad gors. This man has done everything that you asked of him then you let Paul jr. tell you not to meet him alone so you put more limits on him. Let me ask you this how many things did he put on you everytime he forgave you for everything you did and everytime you messed up. This man is your only Father that you will ever have so you think about this real long. Why not just call him and just say I

  229. 229 BARB Dec 30th, 2010 at 10:42 pm

I want this to get to Mikey, I have been watching what has been going on and I need for you to really about what you are doing with your Dad. How many times did he forgive you everytime you messed up? You need to tell Paul jr. that your dad would never hurt you like he said last week or referred to it if you were to meet him alone. All you need to do is say I am going to meet my dad and see if we can at least work on our relationship, and let Paul jr. work on his own with him.I know a lot is for the show, but you should see your face when all this other stuff starts. Mikey no your dad is not perfect but then neither are you or Paul jr, and I wish him well. Call you dad, go meet with him, talk to him, and let him know you love him. When you do this everything else will fall in place. Mikey I am 66 and I wish I had my Mother back to talk to. You are wasting to much special time. Please I ask you from the bottom of my heart;———- don’t let another min. go bye. Just talk and see what happens and DO NOT TALK ABOUT HIM AND JR. that is their problem for right now. I will be waiting along with lot’s of others to see what you do. Good luch to you in finding out your life and I wish the best for you.

Paul jr. good luck to you and your bussiness and your new wife, I know you need to do what you need to do, but please let Micky have a relationship with his dad and stop putting ideas in his head as I feel he is very easy to lead and you are good at that. Why don’t you just say why don’t you call Dad and talk just to see what happens. Also tell him not to talk about you and your Dad. That way if they can have a relationship then more power to you. That does not mean Mikey loves you less just doing the right thing for him with noone else involved.

Now Mikey call your Daddy or just drop in at OCC and have a drink and chat a little. Can’t you see how happy that would make him? AND IT WOULD BE WONDERFUL FOR THE SHOW CAUSE IT IS SAME OLD, SAME OLD. PEOPLE WANT TO SEE YOU TALK TO HIM. Your dad is from ”the old school” but just give him a chance and see what happens.I have been there, done that, and glad when it was over cause it is a very heavy load to carry all the time. Good Luck Micky with your attempt with no restrictions this time. Just a Son and Dad talking.

hey guys I say life is too short and bickering is for the uneducated! Now we all have our problems and we don’t always see eye to eye, still you are family and there isn’t anyother. I agree with Mickey and Pauly there needs to be some kind of mediator, or you guys need to figure out some way to work this out. It is a crying shame to see such dedicated and talented men fighting like old women with nothing else to do. Senior they are your sons and I know that you love them no matter what, but all three of you need to calm down and get this resolved! Grow up and do the best you can to forgive and let live! I am sure that your family is suffering due to all the dissention between you guys! try to not be so self centered and relize what this is doing to others. Mickey is so torn its not even funny and he is stuck in the middle, and I know that the grandmother is in turmoil too! As far as the law suit I think that Pauly and senior need to relize that the popularity is equal on both parts. Pauly needs to quit being so hurt and address the real problem that he has with his father also he needs to take into account that without Sr. none of his fame and fortune wouldn’t be in the lime light, the same with senior!! you both got to where you are together. Just really be sure that you can look deep inside and resolve the petty crap and do the best for all concerned.

  233. 233 dave ogo Jan 18th, 2011 at 3:53 pm

    “its the economy”

Mikey summed it up. When they stopped making money hand over fist the problems began. Their ego’s will have the better of them. They should have been pocketing the money and stayed true to their blue collar roots instead of expecting to become a trademark bike maker.

Before it ends, Paul sr. will declare OCC bankruptcy and retire to his thoroughbred car garage where he stashed his loot. ( he is no dummy) He does not give a damn about anyone else. The boys made the right move, because they would be looking out for themselves in the long run anyway when Paul Sr. sevens out.

  238. 238 Allan Kay Jan 25th, 2011 at 1:23 am

Anyone who has watched American Chopper since it started way back in 2002 or 2003 could see what kind of father Paul Sr. is. He is a control freak. He has a HUGE ego. And he always wants to “one up” his own kids. As the show progressed us fans were able to become more invloved with the Teutal family along with the Teutal bike builders. We got to see just how bad Sr. temper could be. We got to see how Jr. would come in late and leave early. We also got to see the Paul Jr.’s artistic value in his designs. As fans of the show I’m sure we only were able to see a small % of what really went on behind closed doors. But I ask you all to read between the lines. Look at Paul Jr.’s middle son Danny. This son has nothing to do with his father. Ask yourself why? And what about Paul Jr.’s daughter Kristen? She refuses do have anything to do with her father also. These are two kids that didn’t work at OCC and don’t want relationships with their dad, why? Because Paul Sr. is a egotistical, selfish,”I’m ALWAYS right and your ALWAYS wrong” person. Look at the American Chopper episode with Sr. having thangsgiving dinner. Not one of his kids showed up. Only his step-children. What Paul Sr. has done to his children started back in their childhood. When he was a raging alcoholic. I’m glad he gave up drinking, but it looks like thats all he gave up. I’m an addict myself with over 7 1/2 years clean. I know that stop using is only one step in the many steps in changing yourself. The drinking was his symptom. He needs to work on the disease, which it’s obvious he hasn’t. What father constantly talks down about his son? Every chance Paul Sr. has he throws a dig at Jr. If you are watching the new American Chopper like I am then you can see it too. Every chance Sr. has to talk bad about Jr. he does. Every chance Sr. has to make fun of Jr. He does. How many times have you seen Jr. do that to Sr.? None. Paul Sr. contradicts himself almost on a weekly bases. He mentions how Paul Jr. is no fabricator but back in 2004 or 2005 he talks about Jr. being the one that builds and designs all the bikes. When I watch these episodes I feel so bad for all the Teutal children. Think about the type of childhood they were raised in? My father would stop and do ANYTHING for me, he has. If I asked my father to please go see a therapist with me so we can develope a better relationship. He would ask me, what day and what time, son? Even if he didn’t want to he would do it for me. Thats what fathers are supposed to do. And mikey asked his father to go and he went one time and then said mikey is putting to many conditions on it. SO WHAT! If you love your son you would do anything to make the relationship better,ANYTHING! Fathers are supposed do things they might not want to if it’s going to help their child out. As I mentioned me being an addict with 7 1/2 years clean I can tell you all Paul Sr. has worked on is one thing. And that’s stop drinking. What about the reasons that caused him to drink in the first place? When I watch the new American Chopper I feel so bad for Jr. and Mikey. Not to mention the other kids that no one talks about,Danny and Kristen. The behavior Paul Sr. displays show after show is appalling to me, as a father. I could never even imagine treating my son’s the way Paul Sr. treats his. He should be ashamed of himself. But he doesn’t. That man has no shame. There’s a huge reason that none of his kids want anything to do with him. He’s a jerk. He’s a person that no one would want to be around with. Take away OCC and we’ll see just how long those employee’s have anything to do with Paul Sr. It won’t be long. His company is crumbling. His overhead has to be huge. The economy is still bad and people aren’t buying production choppers for $40-$80 K. His ego got into the way of smart business decisions whe he built that monstrosity. Look what’s going on with West Coast Choppers, closing shop. Custom biker shops are losing money all over this country just like millions of other businesses. But what bothers me more then the OCC shop is his refusal to show his family, love. The day I would treat my son like Paul Sr. does on national television is the day I seek help for myself. Paul Sr. is the WORST example of a father. I ask again, what father treats his son’s the way Sr. does? He believes in money and bottom line over family and love. I hope someday when OCC has failed or Sr. has sold it off and retired and he’s sitting in his log cabon house all alone he will think back and ask himself was it all worth it. Was making money worth more then my family. That man is 61 and still has no clue what life is really about. Let me help you Paul Sr. It’s about family!

Lets talk about professionalism here OK. If a man perceives himself as a professional in a trade or white collar type professional ect, is he the ultimate person to end all? Do we hammer everthing out in life through the framework of a vocation and workplace criteia. The crap is very distaseful especially coming from these stereotypical “Biker” goons. Dear God, when is this fad ever going to die out? Now I know what a “Wife beater” shirt is. Sadly, millions out there need mental health professionals and / or spiritual mentors, but are too proud, ignorant or narcistic to even consider. Sorry, been there- done that. I and many others have left massive wreckage of lives in the wake.

Sure the Sr. Tuetle was a loud mouth, but he started the business and the least the lazy sons could have done would have been to show up for work on time, What they needed was a time clock to keep track of their tardiness and don’t pay them unless they work the hours. As for Mikey, he couldn’t ,hold a job at McDonalds. Where else could you fall asleep at your job and get away with it. He should have been sweeping and cleaning up at least.I’m sure that now that Mikey is with Paul Jr., he may have to work for his pay check instead of just being the shop idiot.Paul Jr will fgind out soon that he’s paying someone for doing nothing, onc his accountant tries to justify Mikeys existance. How would you like to be working in a shop that sons of the owner don’t have to account for their time.

I’d like to know how Sr. started his own business we’ve all seen the skills Sr. has in the shop he doesn’t have any, he would fire anyone that worked like he does.Jr. put them on T.V. with the creative designs he built and Jr. can definitely build choppers, thats why Sr. was always pissed offed at him,he was so jealous of Jr. it was killing him, he never had a good word for him even when he was making a fortune off Jrs. work. Everyone knows that Sr. would have never gotten any recognition for what he built on his own, if he ever built anything on his own. Hell, even the logo for O.C.C. was Paul Jrs. creation. As far as Jr. coming in late, why shouldn’t, especially when he worked late to make a deadline. Sr. took off to go to the gym,get a tan or a massage.

Credit should be given where it is deserved. The true artists on this show have been Justin and Nub, the painters. Without their talent Paul juniors bikes would be flat black crap. No original design 6″ up & 6″ out frames have been way over done and boring. Metal scrap stuck on a bike isn’t design it’s garbage stuck on it. Sr. is an @ss Jr is a talentless lazy spoiled brat and Mikey is an over weight lazy moron that is too lazy to do anything. Sr. built a business all the other parasites latched on to. Without his initial work none of them would have a thing. Do I think he is right. NO! Don’t treat your family that way on tv no matter how much money The DC pays you. Good riddance AC. The next crap The DC puts Car Warriors is also a farce. The all Stars ride on the talents of their painter.

    To Dave-Apr 3rd, 2011 at 11:17am.

Hey Dave- way go! Now you are geting down to cases. So often, we do’nt need long winded stories to capture the essence of work related situations. Thanks for the wake-up call on acceptance of low level standards (also fully applicable fields outside of motorcycles and autos). People pay major money for services nowadays and should never get stiffed by pseudo professional / marginal contractors.

Having just retired I started watching the show in January 2011. I had fallen asleep and when I awoke there was this man screaming at what it turned out to be his son. I loved the outcome of the bike and scheduled FIOS to automatically record the series which I watched on weekends when nothing else was on. It seemed the larger the company became the more demands were put on the staff. Long hours, weekends. Sr. treated his son like a machine with absolutely no respect. As for being late why in the world would a motorcycle shop open at 7am?? 8:30 would be a better hour, lots of parts would be in. I liked the interaction between the guys but at the end, after Jr. left, Sr’s ridiculing his own son was too much, I found myself swearing four letter words at him and just don’t watch any more.

There are a couple of issues here. 1st. Teutul Sr. A very bad, very heavy ego problem. 2nd., he really did treat Jr. like dirt. Really bad part, Jr. also started having ego problems after he started becoming more noticed. Therefore, A BIGGER CHEST! So, obviously, it was just a matter of time both egos were going to clash against each other. The rift could simmer down if they both accept they both grew up in this together. There’s no more important than the other. No reason father and son can’t share the glory. Wish I had mine around to do just that …

Hey Paul, I watch your show just about every night and i competative shoot at Camp Perry ,Ohio. I shook hands with (Gunny) Early Ermy last year. The national Rifle and pistol matches are held here every year in July and August. I think it would be cool if the civilian Markesmanship or the NRA would have you build them a bike for the National Matches this year ,I also think if you guys built a bike after the Spirit of Saint Louis airplane with a jeweled gas tank and fenders. I like the spiral pattern of jeweling I’ve never seen it on a motor cycle and think it would stand out cool!!! GOOD luck to you and yours. I would be so impresst if i new you read this.

Bravo Paul Jr !!! Paul Sr is so “Full” of himself !!! Used to be a fan of the show when it first came out. Had a chance to visit the shop while in the area on business trip. Several fans from out of town stood outside the shop hoping to get a simple Hello from Paul Senior as he rode in with his bike.
He Totally “Dissed” them in the outmost ARROGANT pompus way ! The only kind and humble person who walked by and by everyone was Rick. Paul Jr was not at the shop that morning.

Paul jr. I don’t know why you didnt open up your own shop sooner. When I first started watching i only did because my boyfriend had you all tuned in. I got where I liked the show. i love bikes but didnt want to watch building them. now i love you guys but,………your father…….he treats Mikey so much nicer than he treats you. i am watching the episode on 10/18/2011 and Mikey was sleeping IN THE SHOP! your dad was not in the least upset. i remember an episode not long ago when you were a few minutes late and your dad had a hissy fit. And you are always bustin a nut for him! i don’t get it. you are his son too. I think he coddles Mikey way too much and that is why Mikey doesn’t have any skills. your bro is lucky you dont take it out on him that your father is nicer to him than you. Most bros would, Anyway, I’am hapy for you to have your own shop, do your own thing and come in when ever the heck you want to. your father has some soul searching to do. i think what he does to Mikey is hurting that amn. he will never be able to stand alone without the support of YOU or your dad. Daddy isn’t doin him justice. GET A JOB MIKEY GET AND EDUCATION! Anything but stand around and try to figure what where you are goin! Sorry i had to say that. It is so hard watchin you be treated like that paul Jr. You should be proud of yourself. and you are so artistic! your designs and ideas are awesome. WTG Paul jr. from Akron Ohio Jo Anne Roberts

Hey what a ride .When it first came on TV or Cable its was the best show great bike’s and great ideas , And the main thing about this show was the team . Vinny was the hands and Paul Jr was the feet and the show was great , But like every thing that becomes great the people become stupid ? Once Vinny left the show . It was on a down hill ride , Sr you are a fool and you are also very stupid and dont blame the grog ??? You had it made with you and your sons ,what a life . But its all done . You need to be a real man and show your son you care ,Paul Jr all the best mate and thanks for all the good ideas you gave us in the show .
