J&P Cycles® Donates $15,000 to Camp Courageous of Iowa

Since 2002 during their Annual Open House festivities J&P Cycles® incorporates an Industry Golf Outing. In total, 44 representatives from 30 of J&P Cycles® exhibitors and industry media participated in the tournament. This year, the Golf Outing, the Annual Poker Run (held earlier in June) and water donations during the Open House raised a total of $15,000 for Camp Courageous.

Camp Courageous is a year-round recreational facility for handicapped and special needs children and adults ranging in age from one to 105. and is located in Monticello, Iowa, a mere 10 miles from J&P’s headquarters. J&P Cycles® Vice President Jill Parham and Director of Operations Zach Parham presented this year’s check to Camp Courageous of Iowa Executive Director Charlie Becker. “We are thrilled to present this year’s check to Camp Courageous. Each year, the ability to provide a donation of this magnitude is due to the tremendous support we receive from our customers, employees and manufacturers,” said Vice President Jill Parham. This year’s $15,000 brings the total donations to Camp Courageous from J&P® to well over $100,000.

How about starting a “No Cursing” charter for ute’s and parents both?

The NC charter would not allow cursing for 30 days. If you curse, you put money in a jar. You can learn to communicate w/o cursing. You become more effective and have a bigger social bang than curser’s. Opens doors for you. You wouldn’t go to an office party and over-drink in front of your boss would you? Same thing with cursing. In fact, in the precision world of OHV Big Twins, cursing can shut doors in your face, or it becomes the tipping point of a decision to be not in your favor (because professionals see it immediately as middle class). 🙂
After 30 days, ask the kids if that now hearing curse words makes them cringe. Try it. Change bad behavior in a short time (18 day min.).

There needs to be a logo. Every outfit with a community purpose of child development needs a logo.

John, Jill and Zack are great roll models and great sportmen for getting others to sign on and involved. John is one of the most humblist gentleman in our industry and always approachable.
