New Panhead II Leather Jacket From Harley-Davidson

I like this one, and maybe you too, if you are looking for a classic broken-in style with the added advantage of 2-in-1 versatility (Jacket & Vest). Distressed, mid-weight leather, adjustable side lacing and lightly-padded elbows provide the retro style elements, while zip-off sleeves quickly transform it into a vest. Pre-curved sleeves and the action back translate into riding comfort, while seven pockets offer ample storage options. Available is S – 5XL and Tall sizes. The Panhead II Leather Jacket is available now at most Harley-Davidson dealerships.

I agree it’s a nice one. But how much?

  2. 2 Harry Oct 9th, 2011 at 9:20 am

    Too short for tall guys.

  3. 3 Iron Horse Oct 9th, 2011 at 9:29 am

Josh…$425 – 465. Gotta agree with Harry about the size issue for taller riders. Most of their stuff is way too short, even the sizes marked “Tall” are more apply suited for a tall midget.

Happy to hear HD® still remembers the name Panhead. Handsome motor.

Many of the folks who make these items have shorter torsos than Americans 😉

If I can remove the HD patch, I buy one.

Like the zip pockets. Many nice jackets forget this practical feature, very useful when you ride.

Its actually not a bad jacket

Even high quality made in USA leather jackets are made a bit short because they are designed not to bunch up in front when you’re on the bike.

A good leather jacket’s not designed to look good in a bar,it’s made for riding.

Kind of slick. It’d be a nice way to cut down even more minimal when I road trip.(I think there is a Murphy’s law that says the weather will turn shitty whenever you don’t bring your leather along.)

If you want quality made in the USA, guaranteed for life leathers then check out Fox Creek Leather. They have many styles made for riding, in every possible size. Here is just one article I did on them.

I like it for the most part. Harley’s apparel vendors design some nice looking apparel (I should know I work for one of them). But I know how much they really cost and I am not willing to pay THAT high of a mark up to be a walking billboard for MOCO. In this case at least though it at least appears the patches are easy to remove.

Now go to the Harley dealer and see if they actually stock a Panhead part!

Really Cyril? I have real distressed leathers – cuz they’re old and this (from the pics) doesn’t even LOOK distressesed?? How do you call this Pan? The unzip is nuts cuz the flp vest is prob too heavy for anyone other then a dude.and a great cocept …but really?.so maybe this is just a guys leather…but PAN ..NOT..I’m just seein another marketing venture they’re tryin to play out?!!

    RE:

I tried that with one dealer.
They told me, basically to buzz off.
Another one had some second source suggestion, but no parts.
