Your BAKER Transmission Installed In Daytona

Participating to the 2012 edition of Daytona Bike Week and in need of a new, smoothest and more efficient transmission? You can have it installed by the experts of Baker Drivetrain, save up to $700 and ride back home without risk of breaking down the road. It’s one of the best offers of Bike Week, part and money wise, and the most popular Baker promotion (only 1 time a year in Daytona & Sturgis). So, warning: because there are of course a fixed number of transmissions that they can install in one day, you are better off to reserve your installation day and time in advance, meaning now… Pick your slot between Friday March 9, 2012 at 9:00 am EST and Sunday March 18, 2012 at 12:00 pm EST by calling Matthew Greyerbiehl BAKER Drivetrain at 517-339-3835 or email: slim@bakerdrivetrain.com

If I ride back home, what do I do with my old tranny?

You sell it at the Daytona swap meet, or ship it back home or sell it to Baker, maybe…

Shifter: In the past they would ship it to your home. Not certain now but I know the process well and the installers are the best in the business. The same crew of folks does all of the installs. This is a great way to get that extra gear on the freeway that you have been in search of whole you are at the event.

Shifter; Mark from Baker here, we will ship it to your house for you. Some people prefer to take it with them but most have us ship it. See you there.

    Shifter,

The disposal of your old transmission is up to you. There are UPS locations around that you can take it to and ship it to your house. We really don’t need anymore 5-Speeds laying around the shop and we don’t have any use for them.

On a side note, we do recommend pre-registering as spaces fill up quick.

    See ya in Daytona

    -Scott

I thought that they can just remove the cluster and slide the 6 speed Cluster in!

** I shouldn’t say that we won’t ship it, we will ship it but the customer is responsible for shipping costs from our facility in Haslett MI.

This is a really good deal for anyone looking to have any kind of transmission work done.
I do use a lot of Baker products and am very satisfied with all of them.

Just a point of interest I do have a Baker Reverse in my 2009 FLHTC.
Yea I know its a two wheeler But I got tired of pushing the bike out of sugarsand and other bad conditions.
Now I just put it in reverse, back up, shift into first and ride away.
