An offset grip improves leverage and reduces fatigue in traffic. The new Easy Squeeze Reduced Clutch Reach Handlebar ($119.95) from Harley-Davidson® Genuine Motor Accessories® features an offset clutch-side grip that moves the palm a half-inch closer to the clutch lever.
This position provides improved leverage and permits the rider to reach the clutch lever with the stronger part of the hand, reducing hand fatigue while riding in traffic.
Available to fit the 2007-later Sportster® SuperLow® (P/N 55800180), 2006-later Softail® Deluxe (P/N 55800182), and 1986-later Heritage Softail® Classic (P/N 55800181) Harley-Davidson models, each Easy Squeeze Reduced Clutch Reach Handlebar is shaped as a direct replacement for the Original Equipment bar, so installation requires no changes in cables or brake lines on specified models. The kit includes a left-hand grip styled to match the Original Equipment rubber throttle-side grip. More information at Harley-Davidson.
Hmmm
Harley don’t believe in hydraulic clutch ? They becomes more and more Frankenstein motorcycles company .
Lot of work and or money to swap out the bars…seems like going hydraulic would be easier..
Or going to the gym…
Looks like Harley found a way to use those defective bars and grips after all!
If you can’t squeeze the lever, you probably should twist the throttle….
This is Harley’s engineering expertise, make a goofy looking handlebar that cost 5 times as much as an offset lever? Brilliant!
More great R & D from the Mo Co
More pandering to RUBs, that don’t belong on a motorcycle
Ever since they put electric starters on them it’s been going downhill. You used to have to earn it, now anyone can ride one.
I clutch with my left foot.
This is a dumb product
Obvious what they are doing here. Building bikes for women whose hands are smaller. All the negative remarks?! Really?? This isn’t the dumbest idea they’ve ever come up with …
bring out the gimp-bar
why dont they just build an auto drive xl for all the people who cant pull a clutch.. and injured people who cant clutch or shift? an auto drive set up would fit in the existing primary with an electric up down shifter..i can do it with aftermarket parts..why cant they do it from the factory? add the price to the base model..they might be suprised how many they sell
install an EFM autoclutch
?
Why not join the 21st century and make a clutch lever thats adjustable? instead of ‘special’ bars and grips… Duh???
SportsterMike that would be too easy! peace
