“Edge Of America” is about an arts and entertainment journalist named Geoff Edgers traveling the country to experience firsthand the events, sports and hobbies that keep America entertained. Because as you know, Americans will do just about anything,including the wonderful, the weird and the crazy to entertain themselves. Going where he doesn’t belong, last September Geoff discovered Artist/Sculptor/Painter/Custom Builder Ron Finch at the Catskill Mountain Thunder event in East Durham, New York. He filmed an episode about Ron and rode in his famous “Outsider” sidecar. A must watch. The series premiere this evening Tuesday January 22 @ 9E/8 C on the Travel Channel. I will post the date of the specific episode about Ron Finch as soon as it is released.

That bike was on exhibit last spring near me in Az………interesting….!
Ron is a complete nut …… of the very best kind . He’s one of the very few builders in my opinion that can not only ‘ get away ‘ with wretched excess …… but thrives on it . Love his insane interpretations of the ‘ Chopper ‘ And the man’s a pretty good ‘ Joe ‘ as well. Looking forward to the TC episode

I dig Ron Finch. His individuality in unbridled in his expression of art. The fact he picked the platform of the motorcycle is a bonus; we need more guys like this to have “fun” with the whole custom bike scene.

Ron is an awesome individual…a one of a kind. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing him and his family for 20+ years. I used to live a couple streets over from him and I miss hanging out with him and his crew at his shop since I moved away from MI. Really looking forward to seeing him do what he does and get recognition for doing it. He is the godfather of custom built bikes, and there is no other artist like him. Congrats Ron!

Ron was a known figure back in the 70’s.
Ran into him at many of the bigger custom car shows, mid west.

Ron built this bike for the 2010 Lichter Exhibition at the Buffalo Chip during Black Hills rally. We did an interview with Ron right before he left for that show.
