A new and extremely beautiful film about the passion of the riders and the soul of their machines. “Why We Ride” is the story of who we are, the dream, the discovery of a life outside the daily confinements and the sharing of our road experience with others. Once you let a motorcycle into your life, it will change you forever…
The documentary world premiere is tomorrow Thursday October 3, 2013. It will play in theaters and have a home video release. Production crew includes James Walker (Producer), Bryan H. Carroll (Producer and Director), Chris Hampel (Co-Producer and Writer), Walter Zuck (Executive Producer)
Awesome.
I have been writing Alamo Drafthouse Cinema for a couple years to include motorcycle related movies… bike nights… etc. Bring it to Texas!
Want to buy the video. When, where?
Excellent trailer, so I guess the film is very good.
Yep. What we ride? So many reasons. Want to hear more answers from people in the know.
frickin’ awesome! cant wait
Oh yeah! Great to see this coming… so many of my friends too. Tell the world about us!
OUTSTANDING !!!!
Maybe we should show this to the “talking heads & pundits”
who keep sounding off about the “Gang” of bikers & the guy (his wife & kids)
who ran over them (see previous article & comments)
Sounds interesting.
Along those lines ya might take a look at this one too:

Looking forward to this….long overdue!
Yep, I like it! I live for bikes. Been like this since I learned 2 wheels on a bicycle. Almost 50 years old, 25 in the service of keeping bikes on the road and I’ve never-ever burned out on riding my bike-NEVER!
Must get this when available.
Why watch a movie? just get out and ride!
Hey Rodent. You ride 365/24/7 to not be able to watch a movie? Or you’ve got no TV or VHS or…
Jose….
Watching a movie about riding is like watching a movie about intercourse.
So, now we know that Rodent watches adult movies and don’t like it!
Rodent, I have been riding since long before you were born, and I have seen many like you, they are called wannabes. I live where it is cold and snow and can’t ride when I always want to but ride all the time when I can, please go insult others besides true bikers. Will get this when available and keep it in my collection along with On any Sunday
Strider,
I learned to ride on manhattan streets in the 60’s, sounds like you’re a sidewalk commando that we use to laugh at. I’ve ridden crosscountry CA/FL / CA more times than I can count, and that’s using 10 fingers and 10 toes! You are an idiot. Go watch your VCR
Been ridding on and off for46 years( mostly on) and as it was mentioned, it becomes your soul, who you are, makes bad days better and good days great. Met thousands of good, great and bad people on a motorcycle. Wouldn’t change it for anything in the world.
Rodent, you are true to your name, but if I must I must, over 50 years riding here, off road on road, cross country, Ca, USA, Europe but who cares where I have been you idiot, I like to read about other people’s experiences as well as write about my own, built many bikes, sold many bikes, and so much more, but to insult someone because they enjoy watching a well made and informative movie is, well in a single word “stupid”. Seems you are so far from a brother of the road it makes me feel sorry for you, but only a little…..
Strider,
Go watch your movie/ I’ve met great people on the road and a few aholes. Are you one of the former or latter?
Rodent and Strider, I hate that EVERY time I reading or watching something about Motorcycles there are always people who get into these petty pissing matches over who is the best biker, I haven’t ridden near as much as either of you, but I do ride mine damn near every day, and I have gone cross country, Louisiana to S. Dakota (Sturgis) and many other places as well, but thats not the point, out on the road I have never met another biker that was not a cool person! and I bet if you two guys rode up to the same gas pump at a store somewhere you would probably have a decent conversation with each other! I only write this to say that I think people misunderstand each other or maybe get offended to easy on stuff like this and I’m sure both of you are good guys, so how bout yall squash this silly arguing and apologize to each other, whatta ya say?
Awesome! I can’t wait to see it..
Buck,
Even i can’t argue with that……….. 🙂

I have seen the full movie, it is excellent; see it yourself!
This is the kind of movie Non Riders will watch and be inspired to become riders themselves. I hope this movie has the same impact that On Any Sunday had on those who didn’t ride when they first watched it back in the day, many of whom still ride to this day.
Movies are powerful and I hope Why We Ride inspires tens of thousands of non riders to become riders. The more the better for everyone.
Looking forward to watching it.
I GET MY IRON SUPPLEMENT EVERY DAY !!!!! THE GREATEST FEELING IN THE WORLD OTHER THAN SEX . EVEN THE TRAILER MAKES YOU WANT TO RIDE …
Only a Rider knows why a dog sticks its head out the car window.
