Making Your Modern Evo or Twin Cam Harley-Davidson Look Vintage

billyboyesteves1 billyboyesteves2You all recognized the tin primary cover used on the Harley-Davidson  Knucklehead and Panhead. But this one is slightly different, keeping with the original style to help you make your 1989 to 2006 Big Twin Evo or Twin Cam look somewhat vintage. Of course, for this purpose, you will have to do much more than installing it.

Cast in aluminum and featuring CNC-milled gasket surfaces for a perfect fit to your modern factory inner primary with the same dimensions and tolerances. Will fit both models with forward or mid-controls. You can even re-use the stock hardware. The Billy Boy outer primary is available in raw aluminum with a chrome derby cover, black with chrome or black derby cover and chrome with chrome or black derby cover.

Chrome derby cover hardware provided ( Chrome )Seals not included to be ordered separately.) The company also offers vintage looking air filters, transmission and cam covers for Big Twins and Sportsters. MSRP $629.00. US Info at 916-872-3189 or Esteves Motorcycle Design.

Lots of “WOW” pieces on their site; ordered the ribbed primary for my ’08 FXDF and they got back to me within 48hrs…it’s on the way and I can’t wait! Very distinctive stuff; not for the bargain hunter, though…

    Very nice,
That retro re styled look is classy and subtle. Looks quality as well !
I wonder if any body makes a Shovel looking top end for an Evo ?

Looks OK, however I am hard pressed to pay 600 + for a primary cover.

Like. Would sell if the price was not victim of the unfavorable exchange rate between the euro & the us dollar.

Will be copied in the US and sold for half this price. Wait 3 months and you get 2 covers for the same price.

Danny, or copied in China for 1/10 the price…. Just kidding 😉

USA model will sell for half the price but be made in China for a 10th the price and will leak like a sieve.

No, the US copy will be made from billet and cost 2x the price.

Excellent part. But with shipping & duties, way too expensive to import for the average Joe.
