Headwinds, one of the leaders in custom headlights, introduces their new 7” LED 12/15W hi/lo headlamp. These powerful lamps are brighter & whiter than halogen. They illuminate the reach down the road and the shoulder.
You may never have to replace another bulb with these energy efficient solid-state LEDs that withstand shock & vibration.
The die-cast aluminum housing with cooling fins provides maximum protection. Easy-to-install, it’s plug and play.

Cooling fins??
LED’s produce enough heat to require cooling fins?
Really?
Hmm almost 100 years of HOT incondesant and or quarts lighting and never one cooling fin….
weird ….. Hey guys…..looks like you need cooling fins to make the light work and last during normal operation ……
Keyboard engineers are always helpfull in the design and testing of any motorcycle product.

I’m a douche….

not Robs problem,
it’s the bikes charging systems problem…
I will stick with a sweet Sylvania Silver Star H4 for about $21

Cooling FANS?
How many lumens? I’d say if you’re trying to sell “brighter than bright” that would be good thing to know.
MY Hellfighter puts out 3500, but it sure doesn’t cost $21!
the headwinds H-4 replacement LED bulb has a cooling fan also, very bright and $99, uses stock housing
LEDs produce less heat than equivalent incandescent lamps, BUT the LEDs themselves are electronic components and need to be cooled for long life, just like other solid state devices.
The narative stated cooling fans,i meant to say is this a typo. The other major led headlights do indeed use a heatsink / cooling fins…….
My thanks to Steve Berg who picked up on the “cooling fan” error first. It was supposed to be “cooling fins”. Cyril reported on what our press release had stated and it was not his typo. I should have proof read our press release closer before it was sent out. Thanks to all who read Cyril’s editorial and offered their comments. They were quite entertaining.
Another error! Thanks to Rob for his cooling fan comment.
