Thought Of The Day

The world consists of two types of people: those who, faced with change, hunker down and try to protect what they have. And those who welcome disruption and use it to spot new opportunities.  V. Bollore.

The world consists of two types of people: Those who group people into two categories and those who do not.

And when what you have is worth protection and the disruption is “hopey-changey”?

Regardless of how many People Types there may be………

Only those who get satisfaction out of creating something, who may even get paid for doing it, and who at the end of the day enjoy knowing that they haven’t just been sitting on my ass waiting for someone else to do something for them….. only they are the Types worth seeking out.

HE WHO LIVES IN THE PAST IS ALREADY DEAD, HE WHO LIVES IN THE FUTURE HAS NOT YET LIVED, BUT HE WHO LIVES IN THE PRESENT IS TRULY ALIVE’

Relying on the government to mandate the incorporation of MC safety features is the height of laziness on the part of those who pretend to be bikers.

Agree with nicker. Way too many people sitting back with their hands out for something they haven’t earned and a government that thinks it knows how to save us all.

Look up Vincent Bollore’. I’d consider the source and evaluate carefully before adding this quote to my collection. When you have the means to ” welcome disruption” that makes you suspect for closer inspection and scrutiny in my book; but, that’s me.

Corporate raiders are NOT the heroes of myth that the media portrays them to be. I’ll pass.

I love the spirit of the quote and will re-think “disruptions” as opportunities–rather than over-thinking the quote and criticizing a successful businessman for knowing how to utilize disruptions to his advantage–maybe we can learn something from him!

    RE:
    “… re-think “disruptions” …”

Disruption is simply a manifestation of Socioeconomic changes over time that create “Opportunity.”

There is a clear difference between Theft and managing a Opportunities.
The difference is in the Morality of “the play”……
The problem is with those who create and administer the Policies that framework the system.

Never fall in love with any politician,
Be careful how you vote and
ALWAYS keep your back to the wall because few will have it for you.

There are three kinds of people: those who can count, and those who can’t.
