Brammo Electric Motorcycles Turns To Crowdsourcing To raise US$ 3 Million

Empulse-2014_0004_Layer-2-LBrammo Inc. has selected a Miami-based crowdsourcing site to raise $3 million in convertible debt as a prelude to a larger funding round. The electric motorcycle manufacturer has raised more than $70 million to date with investors such as Polaris, Team Industries, Best Buy and Chrysalix. The funding round is open to accredited investors only as a bridge to a larger round. Investors will receive discounts on Brammo purchases, starting with $2,500 off a purchase with a $25,000 investment, rising to a free Empulse model with an investment of $200,000 or more. Brammo currently employs 69 people and distributes its battery-powered motorcycles in North America, Europe and Asia. It launched its Empulse motorcycle (featured) in the United Kingdom in June
