Jesse James. From Custom Motorcycles To Custom Firearms. A Guns Educational TV Show?

jjfu1You already know that Jesse James loves firearms and maybe saw him on TV firing on the range. Some of you also know that through the website Jesse James Firearms Unlimited (JJFU) he is already selling some of his high-end ($4000 to $5000), hand-crafted (the Nomad Rifle and the Cisco 1911 handgun) and customized guns. He will tell you that from motorcycles to firearms there is no big stretch because his skills at working metal transfer very well to guns. So, Jesse may very well end up doing a Guns TV Show. At the condition that it is not done around “fake reality” but based on firearms information and education. We may know soon…

The 1911 is one of the best designed pistols ever made and Jesse makes it better. Go Jesse.

I…can’t…resist….Looks like cake decorating on 1911’s! BWahahahaha!

  3. 3 chopmonster66 Feb 13th, 2015 at 9:24 am

  5. 5 Blackmax Feb 13th, 2015 at 4:14 pm

    I LOVE 1911’s
There is a reason why it’s still in use Today !!!
Bike & Gun magazines are my steady companions !
(But really Jesse, not for that price!!! )

  6. 6 richards Feb 13th, 2015 at 7:26 pm

    $4,000. to $5,000.?? In my opinion it’s rip-off!

  7. 7 jbot Feb 13th, 2015 at 7:58 pm

The engraving on that gun is TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!

  8. 8 Iron Horse Feb 13th, 2015 at 8:28 pm

Works of art no doubt, but are they really worth the price of admission?

That being said, I really like the two tone grips on the blued Commander sized model on the right.

  9. 9 tgmotoman Feb 13th, 2015 at 11:15 pm

They are decent looking, but way overpriced IMO.

I am sure he will sell them.

  10. 10 JackS Feb 14th, 2015 at 8:04 am

    I’ll take 6.

  11. 11 Zipper Feb 14th, 2015 at 8:26 am

Just what we need. Jesse James A great role modle for the kids and the second ammendment. Some people people just don’t know when to pack it in. Heart Breaker is what he did when he destroyed that classic 1911. ..Z

  12. 12 Mike Corbin.com Feb 14th, 2015 at 9:06 am

Nicest looking CAP s I’ve seen

  13. 13 U think U know me Feb 14th, 2015 at 9:38 am

I appreciate his gun smithing skills and bike building. He’s definately more talented than most. But the high price will steer away the average consumer. I’ll keep my Colt.

  14. 14 Floyd Cantrell Feb 14th, 2015 at 10:06 am

The real test will be to see if anyone carries a Jesse James 1911 into real arena of combat. I would think not!

  15. 15 Rodent Feb 14th, 2015 at 10:37 am

Just like some custom bikes were made for show and not for riding, these 1911’s were made for show and not for killing.

  16. 16 grmp54 Feb 14th, 2015 at 11:04 am

Oh boy! Another overpriced bragging rite for dum asses to buy that have more money than brains.

  17. 17 Vrat Feb 14th, 2015 at 2:29 pm

From what I read there over priced STI International guns with his name on them. It’s an oversized frame that will not fit standard 1911 holsters with custom grips. Good luck, I’m sure the name will sell guns.

  18. 18 Drew Feb 14th, 2015 at 3:25 pm

If somebody breaks into your house or tries to rob and harm you or your family, it matters not what kind of silly artwork is on your gun, as long as it is loaded, works properly and you are a good marksman. Myself, I would opt to save the money, and buy more motorcycle parts.

    RE:
“… his gun smithing skills …”

Well, that may or may not be. The proof, as they say, is in the pudding.

But let’s not confuse adding “bling” with rerchambering, setting head gaps, improving trigger pull, machining/indexing barrel threads, and getting sticky action to cycle smoothly……..

Just saying, gun smithing is more than just artistry.

  20. 20 Bob Feb 14th, 2015 at 8:02 pm

Once again a bunch of know nothing’s commenting on shit they have no clue on…
    Where to start hmmmmm, well
1st jesse forges his own frames and machines most of the other parts.
2nd that engaging is incredible and done by one of the finest engravers around.
3rd The guns are match grade and function flawlessly and would be fine for actual combat.
4th cake decorating is taking something and embellishing it, he’s making these .
5th most of you aren’t qualified to pack jesses lunch .

  21. 21 Bruce Ashmore Feb 14th, 2015 at 8:49 pm

Besides JJ hand forging the Damascus, all of the other machine work is done by hired out machinists. Using his name and trying to capitilize on it, once the market for custom bikes fell he had to find some way to make money. Read the link that I posted previously – some will not be swayed though because of their obvious infatuation with JJ.

  22. 22 Bruce Ashmore Feb 14th, 2015 at 9:28 pm

Once again, here is the link – read up: http://weaponsman.com/?p=20564 The analysis of JJFU isn’t made by unknowing cosumer’s,these are technical firearm experts. You be the judge.

  23. 23 jesse james Feb 14th, 2015 at 9:48 pm

    Bruce..

You should lick my ball sack.

    That is all.

    jesse.

  24. 24 Rusty Feb 14th, 2015 at 10:02 pm

I got mine, yeah I can afford it and it’s fucking bad ass….and what Jesse said hahahahaha FTW!

  25. 25 Sanja Feb 14th, 2015 at 10:26 pm

I would love to see a real show about guns with no drama and other nonsense that all the reality shows now days have. I wish his American Craftsmen Show was aired, but since it had no sex or drama it was not TV material. We need more educational shows because our iphones, ipads and such can’t build anything for us. I support him in anything he wants to build because I know he will make sure you can use it. He doesn’t build a showroom bike, you can ride each and every bike he has ever built and I am sure he is proud of that. Guns are not different. He makes a gun with some help and then goes out and shoots it. He doesn’t just sit on his ass and watch stupid shows on TV

  26. 26 Bruce Ashmore Feb 14th, 2015 at 10:31 pm

Intelligent response while not addressing the real issue Jesse

  27. 27 Chaos Feb 15th, 2015 at 12:40 am

Bruce Ashmore do you really think that Jesse James responded to your comment? I think not…… He has better shit to do than troll the blogs…… JJ = Talent whether you like him or not……. End of story….

  28. 28 jbot Feb 15th, 2015 at 1:00 am

Bob – please google gun engraving. Look at 20 of the
best ones then re-look at the engraving on the JJ gun. Who doesn’t
know what they are talking about?

  29. 29 P. Hamilton Feb 15th, 2015 at 6:55 am

Chaos and Bruce. Yes, Jesse James reads Cyril’s website and has commented here several times in the past. JJ & CH seem to know each other pretty well.

  30. 30 Heavy Metal Feb 15th, 2015 at 10:28 am

    I’m OK with Jesse but I have a 1911.

  31. 31 john Feb 15th, 2015 at 1:03 pm

Bruce as well as few others sound like they have a big green stick of envy up his ass.

  32. 32 Gary hough Feb 15th, 2015 at 10:24 pm

i have his 1911 Cisco especial that I put 390 rounds through it with no problems & his AR with us optic scope ,haters quit hating till you try these guns!!!!!

  33. 33 Gary hough Feb 15th, 2015 at 10:26 pm

Oh and yes that’s my real name I don’t hide with nick names

  34. 34 Chase Hill Feb 16th, 2015 at 10:51 am

Wow Bruce…..you reference some guys blog who provides no real information about himself other than claiming he’s a former “special forces weapons man”. I can see why you would believe he’s such a technical firearms expert.

It’s funny to see all of you internet tough guys who have these preconceived opinions of a man you never met. But yet, you let the gossip surrounding his personal life be the basis of his work.

JJ telling you to lick his ball sack….well that was pretty funny actually!

Do you really believe he’s going to waste his time defending himself because you reference a blogger who believes JJ’s suppressor is bullshit? A blogger who never met JJ. A blogger who never actually tested his suppressor. A blogger who never even seen the suppressor in person. A blogger who posted other people’s pictures and based his “professional” opinion on what? His opinion?

I challenge anyone to go and actually meet JJ and see his firearms in person.. He’ll actually have an intelligent conversation with you. And if you have an open mind, you’ll quickly realize he really is a nice guy and his craftmanship is top notch. Whether it’s your taste or not.

  35. 35 Spritz De Coochy Feb 16th, 2015 at 12:30 pm

This has what to do with motorcycle news?…… BTW nice engraving by Tay Herrera

  36. 36 Greeko Feb 16th, 2015 at 12:33 pm

Spritz. Because Jesse James is still a custom builder and because Cyril publishes what he wants when he wants. Ha, ha.

  37. 37 Rick S Feb 16th, 2015 at 1:53 pm

Looks like the guy doing the decorative work is not really “engraving”
He is using a type of woodworking technique – scooping of material.
It’s not chase hammer engraving for sure.
To say he is one of the top engravers in the world is WAAAAYY off.

In the world of gun and knife engraving this type of quality would be laughable, but it’s jesse’s style I guess.

  38. 38 domino Feb 16th, 2015 at 3:21 pm

All this jabber is making me tired ….

Please bring back Monster Garage … so much fun …

    Domino Dave

p.s. I am not allowed to own firearms, but my girlfriend has a sh#t load … hahaha

  39. 39 Spritz De Coochy Feb 16th, 2015 at 3:28 pm

Rick S, you sir are a booger eating moron. Go to tarrera.com and you will see that he does, in fact, use a hammer and chisel to chase the material. FYI he spent something like 15 yrs. working for Remington before J.J. “discovered” him and still does comissions for Remington.

  40. 40 Chris Feb 16th, 2015 at 3:42 pm

I give Jesse props. The dude had a successful security business making piles of cash. He decided he wanted build bikes. Say what you want, he’s one of the truly great craftsmen of our age. He crafted and manufactured bikes that were sublime in their quality and aesthetics. He made more piles of cash. He decided he wanted to do something else. Now he makes guns, enjoys doing it, and is again, presumably making more stacks of cash.

Anybody who has the means, the guts, and the skills to make tons of money doing something that brings him satisfaction is winning. Kudos, Jesse.

“…I give Jesse props. The dude had a successful security business making piles of cash …”

OK that’s fine and quite an accomplishment.
But exactly what would having Bruce lick his “ball sack” accomplish…..???

    Just wondering?
