An amendment to South Dakota Senate Bill 1 passed Tuesday March 24, 2015 changing the speed limit on the state’s two interstate highways. When the new law takes effect on April 1, you’ll legally be able to travel at 80 mph instead of 75 mph on the I90 and I29. It means that motorists and bikers going to attend the 75th Anniversary Sturgis Rally will arrive a little bit faster. Due to the expected attendance increase for the 75th Anniversary Sturgis celebration, is it a safer or more dangerous decision?

    Speed limit raised to 80……
And this at a time and place where an increasing number of the assembled biker population has shown its inability to operate anything on two wheels.

Don’t know what problem this solves, except maybe increase the organ donor pool.
