Joke Of The week

cyril-huze-joke44 - Copy“It is a slow day in a little Greek Village. The rain is beating down and the streets are deserted. Times are tough, everybody is in debt and everybody lives on credit.

On this particular day a rich German tourist is driving through the village, stops at the local hotel and lays a €100 note on the desk, telling the hotel owner he wants to inspect the rooms upstairs in order to pick one to spend the night. The owner gives him some keys and as soon as the visitor has walked upstairs, the hotelier grabs the €100 note and runs next door to pay his debt to the butcher.

The butcher takes the €100 note and runs down the street to repay his debt to the pig farmer. The pig farmer takes the €100 note and heads off to pay his bill at the supplier of feed and fuel.

The guy at the Farmers’ Co-op takes the €100 note and runs to pay his drinks bill at the taverna. The tavern owner slips the money along to the local prostitute drinking at the bar, who has also been facing hard times and has had to offer him “services” on credit. The hooker then rushes to the hotel and pays off her room bill to the hotel owner with the €100 note.

The hotel proprietor then places the €100 note back on the counter so the rich traveler will not suspect anything. At that moment the traveler comes down the stairs, picks up the €100 note, states that the rooms are not satisfactory, pockets the money and leaves town.

No one produced anything. No one earned anything. However the whole village is now out of debt and looking to the future with optimism.

And that, Ladies and Gentlemen, is how a bailout package should work (forgetting any interest owed).

What are the first 3 letters in the Greek alphabet? I.O.U.

I note that most of these beautiful custom bikes are unencumbered by front fenders. It makes one wonder if todays premier builders have ever ridden in the rain, but then they really aren’t made to ride…are they. A front brake wouldn’t really detract from the looks, sort of a package deal if you will.

EXOTIC TRAVEL My wife and I decided to go on an organised trip to Afghanistan, to see for ourselves what the place was like.

It didn’t start well as the train we were travelling on broke down just a few miles south of the station. We
found ourselves stranded in a scary hell hole where no one around us spoke any English.

The train, and surrounding streets were full of Muslims, angry bearded types glared at us, the wife stood out in her brightly coloured sun-dress, as all the local women were draped in black, head to toe, burqas. We were extremely scared and convinced that we were in deep trouble.

Just then, Jim our group leader ushered us off the train and round the corner from Hounslow Station to the bus terminal, where we continued our journey safely to Heathrow Airport.

    @ Nicker

nice one… you got it though
Just been to Birmingham – Burqa capital of Britain
Sat next to a young guy on the Underground once – his wife was sitting next to him wearing a burqa – she was talking and he couldn’t hear her (and couldn’t see her lips) Wot you say? wot? wot? I had to laugh…. most of the Moslems that I know don’t bother with all that stuff – its not actually in the Koran

Kinda makes me glad that most of our immigrants here in the U.S. are Mexicans. At least they’ll do the yardwork, wash the restaurant dishes, etc., jobs that no Americans want.

Just what do these Arab Muslims do to add to the society? Glad we don’t have many of them here yet (except in Detroit).

B.D., if an American doesn’t want the job because 30 million immigrants have entered the country illegally and pushed wages down to ridiculously low levels, then it’s ok to pretend the border doesn’t exist? Oh, you might note that a whole bunch of us out here do our own yard work because paying someone to do it is not in the budget, because of the lack of decent paying jobs. Nothing against Mexicans. I met more than a few, and they seem like hard working folks, but too many are committing heinous crimes, and they do after all have their own country. We are under no obligation at all to accept unlimited immigration. You do know that you too will say, enough. Is it at 40 million, or 100 million? Maybe 75 million. What’s the magic number?

    Batterycap,

    Spot on!….
Moreover there was “a magic number” when we first tried to come to the US from Germany in 1947.
We couldn’t get in then. Had to go to a different country first, then waited till 1955 till the US let us in.
(too many Caucasians here i guess)

Someone had to “sponsor us” ….. and we had to be able to Speak, Read, & Write English before we could apply for Citizenship….
What kind-a racist crap is that…..???…!!!

    So i’m wondering what’s changed…..???
Oh ya… now i remember…. the Progressive Leftists gained control.

A Syrian’s perspective on Cecil the Lion.

“…I often wonder what is wrong with America. You do not hear stories like the killing of Cecil the Lion in Syria, partly because we already killed all our lions but also because we killed all our dentists.

It was difficult explaining to my eldest son why Cecil was killed. He asked if Cecil was a Kurd or a Christian ‘No’ I said , ‘in this World, sometimes people and animals are killed for totally unjustifiable reasons.’

Oh Oh, I must go now. The Shabiha have surrounded the building to either press gang us into the Army or execute us for some obscure reason. No matter. If we die, we die knowing that the infidel dentist who murdered Cecil has been appropriately punished on Facebook.

Hopefully I will see Cecil in the afterlife, along with my grandparents who were murdered at the massacre in Hama…”
