Klock Werks Flare™ Windshield Now Available for Indian Chieftain and RoadMaster

windshield1windshield2windshield3Now Indian Chieftain and RoadMaster model motorcycle riders can enjoy the benefits of touring with a Klock Werks Flare™ Windshield. The patented Flare™ Windshield design features “hips” at the sides that re-route the wind away from you while adding downforce to the front-end of the motorcycle to improve stability. The flip at the top of the Flare™ redirects air up and back as clean, less turbulent air for rider and passenger.

“A stock shield simply pushes air. So any air that escapes around it is choppy, turbulent air, that can make your helmet shake, your glasses fly up. Often a rider will think getting a taller windshield will solve the issues. The answer is how the air is directed, and the shape of our Flare™ re-directs the air,” explains Brian Klock. “Many times, a rider doesn’t realize how uncomfortable it is, until they try a Flare™ Windshield.

Available for Indian Chieftain and RoadMaster in two heights; 10” and 12”, featuring tint, dark smoke, and black options, the Flare™ is easy to Install using stock mounting hardware and maintains stock windshield height adjustability. Klock Werks Flare™ Windshields are made from hard-coated polycarbonate material for lasting durability and is made in the USA. The Flare™ for Indian is currently available at Kustom Baggers, through Parts Unlimited dealers, and at events this season.

So many claims by so many manufacturers. Same with exhausts, with engines, etc.

Yes but the Klock Werks ones actually work Ronnie. Have you tried riding with a Klock Werks windshield or are you just being negative for the heck of it? I’ve ridden with bother the flare screens (for batwing) and the billboard flare windshields and they dramatically improve high speed stability and riding comfort. I won’t ride without them now.

That’s the nature of the game though Ronnie. 99% of the peeps that buy a bike don’t see what they are buying. They see what they want it to be when they are done tearing perfectly good parts off it that they just paid for so they can put parts on that they just paid for. Life is good.

Funny that one of Indian’s primary selling points of that bike is that the shield is retractable to provide what the Flare’s primary selling point provides. Oh well, peeps that make polycarbonate replacement windshields got to eat too.

I’m with Jezza on this. They really do work. As Cyril said, mnay bikers think they’ll improve things by gettin a bigger screen when the ‘simple’ idea of not impeding the flow really works. Direct Cycle Parts are doing them too – http://veeba.se/1JMQ93T

The FLARE windshields really do work. I’ve run them on my last five Harley-Davidsons and recently sat behind one on my Shovelhead when I rode from the bottom of Australia to the top and back down again. A great product that really does what it claims to do.

i watched the video featuring Laura Klock
(One of my Favorite people in the industry, ever !!!)
On how it all works with the auto “up & down” windshield on the Chieftain/Roadmaster ?
there is still a gap when fully extended does that let the “bad air” in t cause buffing ???
If it works I might be in the market for one very soon
