Maybe some gems to be found. But can’t travel to Columbus.

My bet is the best gems to be found will be “bought” by LAP prior to sale. Just as with Indian in ’04.

    Very possible.
Happened to me two months ago.
An item pictured in the catalog manically wasn’t available at auction time….. and no one knew why.

Thanks for the interest and story Cyril. To clarify during Indian in 2004 we bought everything from the court and held a big liquidation open to all of you (we appreciate your business), the owners did keep 4 bikes out of 200, but 98% was liquidated including $10 million+ of parts. In this Dixie Liquidation, we are running it for the client and selling off everything! There are no bikes included in this sale. There are parts for every kind of bike imaginable. As far as “gems”, it’s full of gems, it’s hard to describe how much is there. If you want a 2 year old helmet, stop at your local dealer, if you want a 45 year old classic Buco Helmet that all the hipsters are wearing, there will be 10,000 for liquidation.

Bulk buyers should call our office ahead of time for info. There are some special appointments available for bulk buyers.

    Hello,

I looked at the inventory lisI reviewed the inventory list. While I did not peruse it, I fear the $25 Million estimate noted in most media is not realistic. Granted, I have not seen the inventory, and as I said, I did not peruse the list completely, what I did see leads me to believe the figures are inflated.

Unless the 15% Buyers Premium is being added into the $25 Million estimate, I believe the actual sale amount, if all inventory is sold at a reasonable price, will be approximately $18 – $21 Million. Of course I am basing my estimate on the belief management from Liquid Asset Partners, L.L.C., will be willing to accept amounts lower than listed to sell the items.ting.

    Chris,
Very good feedback here, So this is a liquidation, we are not selling at these wholesale (dealer) catalogue prices, we are selling at huge discounts. This is an Everything Must Go, going out of business liquidation. We will be selling at 30% off, 40% off, 50% off, 60% off and more for large bulk offers. There are approximately 1,000 semi truckloads at this company. The estimates of $25million are just that, estimates as the inventory system was antiquated and created in the 50’s just like the business. There is possibly more than $25million, there is possibly less. Also this sale will take longer than 1 month, we anticipate we will still be selling nice inventory 4 months from now,,, that is unless one of you wants to step up and make a take all offer on 500 to 700 truckloads.

We will review any offers quickly and respond. Email to Bill@LiquidAP.com

    Thank you,
    Bill Melvin

Where are you going to move? Are you just selling the building and property? Are the new buyers interested in continuing a business there?

As for info on the Dixie Auction I was there on Friday 15th. Bill Melvin is correct. Tons and tons of parts. But you need to know what you are looking for. Its a HUGE damp cold warehouse with almost unbelieveable number of parts. Wear warm old clothes bring flashlights food and KNOW what you are looking for. For a genuine restorer use a few vacation days!
