The Donnie Smith Bike & Car Show is the largest single-weekend show of its kind in the United States, featuring a unique mix of moto-celebrities, retail vendors and entertainment, along with the some of the best custom motorcycles and cars. The annual event has entered into a partnership with the Legendary Buffalo Chip, the Sturgis Rally’s most iconic music and motorcycle experience. The two entities will work together to chart a strategic vision for the show’s alliance with corporate brands while bringing the Sturgis Buffalo Chip’s unique experience, “by bikers for bikers,” to show attendees.
“The Sturgis Buffalo Chip’s ability to execute an ever-evolving, ever-expanding customer brand experience made this collaboration very enticing for our show,” says Neil Ryan, owner and chief organizer of the Donnie Smith Bike & Car Show.
“Their focus on the customer and capabilities as a market leader will enhance the experience of our mutual customers at the Donnie Smith Show for years to come.”
“This show is the premier bike and car event, and enthusiasts flock to it because it’s one of the coolest scenes in existence,” says Sturgis Buffalo Chip president Rod Woodruff. “The Donnie Smith Show has so much notoriety that we wouldn’t dare miss an opportunity to enter our own Buffalo Chip Challenge™ program bikes into it for a chance to win one of its highly coveted awards. We couldn’t be more proud to welcome this prestigious show into our family, and we look forward to helping provide an enhanced experience for everyone.”
The 2016 show will be the first that showcases the outcome of this partnership. The show will take place March 31 – April 3, 2016 at the River Centre in St. Paul, Minn. For more information or sponsorship inquiries visit Buffalo Chip Sponsors. or contact: lon@buffalochip.com.
« Donnie Smith Bike & Car Show is the largest single-weekend show of its kind in the United States. If this is true why do then need a association with Buffalo Chip? It will benefit the chip not the Donnie Smith show. Sounds like a bad deal!
It’s always about the “Legendary Chip”….people in the industry should know that by now.
Buffalo Chip wants more exposure to recruit campground clients. The show wants more sponsors.
Wow !!!
Not something I ever expected to see
Will wait to see if it works out ???
Two great names combining their talents. I have been going to Donnie’s show for 20 years. Buffalo Chips for just as long.
This is a great opportunity for all. Knowing both owners and shows, Great things will happen because of their integrity, dedication to the biker community and public.
Fact: All involved are first class people that give back each and every time.
Every segment of the motorcycle industry be it manufacturers, distributors, shops etc. work together to share resources, best practices and relationships to improve their businesses. Why should motorcycle events be any different? The Sturgis Buffalo Chip wants to expand its network of leading events to bring expanded opportunities to the industry as a whole. Would you rather have owners working together that are truly vested and give back to the motorcycle industry? Or would you rather have corporations and large ad agencies running these shows that don’t care about the industry and support those in it? Past the short-sided, uninformed pundits spewing negative trash on this site, I think this is something we can all get behind that’s good for the industry.
Just Great!
Bringing more Yuppie “play biker on the weekends” bikers together!
Just what the real bikers want to deal with.
Oh well as long as they bring Their Credit cards, Check books, and $$$$ Cash… For their High Dollar Motor homes, to Trailer their High dollar Yuppie Glides, and we will have to deal with them.
Congratulations Neil!
As another 20 year+ attendee of this can’t miss event I am excited to see it grow and improve!!
