New Pro-Series Carbon Fiber Parts By Brass Balls Cycles

1bagsBrass Balls Cycles is adding high grade, vacuum infused carbon fiber and fiberglass parts to their existing product line. First to be available are quarter fairings for Harley Sportster and Dyna ($425), side covers for FXR ($285 per set) and touring bagger lids ($385 per set). These performance carbon fiber parts are vacuum infused resulting in extremely high quality and consistency.

Dar Holdsworth states that his carbon products are of superior quality because vinyl adhesive or veneers are not used. “Our carbon fiber does NOT use brushed on epoxy, similar to hand laid fiberglass. It’s 100% carbon fiber with aircraft grade epoxy.”

Standard color is black twill carbon. Custom carbon colors are also available. Allow 1-2 weeks to ship for standard black twill carbon fiber parts and 2-4 weeks for custom color carbon fiber parts. Ready for direct install as is or may be painted. Brass Balls Cycles will be introducing new carbon fiber parts in the next few weeks.

Nice. But only if you go the full carbon fiber route. So, I will have to see all the other parts.

Need to add the gas tank (including gas cap), the fenders, the bars, the pegs, the floorboards, the air filter, maybe the primary cover, the wheels too. Big investment! Good luck.

A full carbon fiber theme would look good on a V-Rod.

Carbon fiber is nice but it always has been a very small market. Good luck Dar.

    Jay Preston,

    Now you are talking!

Imagine a full carbon fiber “monocoque’ for the V-Rod. It has the architecture – eg integrated tank etc.

A sub 400lb (ready to ride) V-Rod – sounds good to me.

PS – just get rid of that “bend over touch your toes” seating position.

Agreed, it would have to be a full body part exchange
But the weight saving would be substantial…
    Worth it ??
I leave that up to the individual (& the market)
