Lithium-Ion Batteries By Twin Power

twinpower-lithium-ion-batteryHow many of you have been disappointed by a replacement battery?

Length of motorcycle storage, extreme temperature environments, insufficient cranking power for big motors, incorrect fit for your bike model, heavy weight, etc are issues we all have faced.

I run this video because it states and demonstrates clearly what you can expect from this Twin Power Lithium-Ion batteries. At you local Biker’s Choice dealer.

he says it has about 400 cold cranking amps. Then he puts it in a car and now it has 650 cold cranking amps.
Most car battery have 300 cold cranking amps so whats the big deal. Guess were not supposed to know this information

Guess Victory’s don’t need it cause they don’t build big motors. All though they blow the doors off Harleys 8 out of 10 times.
Gee a little bike battery can start a well tuned warm car. That must be a first.
So the battery is 12 pounds lighter. That must make a difference going down the road or in the 1/4 mile

X HD, he’s got two different size batteries…he said one was for a dresser and one was for a Softail.

just don’t let voltage get low, if v/reg goes out count on buying a battery too if you don’t catch it in time

I was redoing my 72 XLCH and I hated the battery hanging off to the side as well as the V reg bolted to the battery tray. I aint out for a 1/4 mile number and I can live with battery maint but the really tiny Ballistic Li-ion looked good…pricy but…

So I replaced the V reg with the Cycle Electric gen end low output regulator and got the smallest Ballistic battery…ment for scooters; but, after all, an XLCH doesn’t need any more juice than a scooter. The Ballistic battery was about 2″ square and 3″ or 4″ long so I mounted it right to the generator. After 2 years it still works great and it’s ALWAYS up and ready to go. Even after the long cold winter.

Now…if someone would just give me one of those early XLCH horseshoe oil tanks…

Good video James. I need to try some of these batteries. I dig your Vette to.

I will start off with saying that James Simonelli the person in the video is a very well respected person in the motorcycle industry.
He is now working for Tucker Rocky and Bikers Choice so it is a no brainer he will be a spokesperson for their products. In this case the TWIN POWER Lithium-Ion Battery.
I just had my son install one in his 2008 Harley FLHTCU and we are in the process of testing it.
I was very surprised by how light it was compared to the factory battery that was removed. No it is not going to make the motorcycle go faster but it is worthwhile mentioning.
My son says he does notice a difference in how the motorcycle starts even though the Harley battery he removed was less than 6 months old and fully charged.
We will continue to monitor the battery and of course report our findings at a later date.
I do feel that this battery is going to turn out very well and yes time will tell.

Need to try this brand at my next battery failure. Usually every 18 months!

Good demo. But there are so many claims by so many brands. I guess they are good batteries. I am mostly interested by the weight saving.

I know these kind of batteries are popular with sport bikers but for those of us that ride year round I am curious how well they perform in -30 degree weather.

My question exactly. I put another brand of lithium in my chop and it drained out overnight when the temp fell into the mid-40’s.

Well, having only one Bike that’s electric-start only…. making this product interesting.

For the rest of-em i found those $30 6V commercial building “Exit” sign batteries at Home Depot, work just fine (so far).

    For 12V application i double-em up.
Seem to last damn near forever just sitting there. Always have enough juice to start a Triumph or or Pan head….. With a kick-starter, that is.
