2nd Annual Indian Motorcycle Veterans Charity Ride Supported By Mark Wahlberg

indianvetrideThe 2016 Veterans Charity Ride to Sturgis is a 1,776-mile, multi-state tour that uses Indian motorcycles as therapy for wounded and amputee veterans.

Veterans are hand selected from all branches of the military to experience motorcycle therapy on Indian motorcycles, trikes and Champion sidecars while riding from Los Angeles to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota. 20 deserving veterans and veteran mentors will join the ride.

indianvetridelogoThe program was conceived and developed by veteran Army Paratrooper David Frey and Emmy Award-winning producer and director Robert Manciero of Full Vision Productions, leveraging the therapeutic effects of motorcycle riding to create an adventure of a lifetime for wounded veterans. For the second straight year the journey will be filmed so the message can be shared with as many veterans as possible.

“We’ll spend over a week riding on America’s most beautiful roads, getting to know each other and helping each other through Motorcycle Therapy,” said Frey. “The shared experience of serving brings us together, veteran to veteran, to help each other heal. We also show the veterans just how much their service means to America by stopping in small towns along the way to meet the people of our nation who want to celebrate these brave men and women.”

“I’m so grateful to the participants in this year’s ride and all our veterans for their service to our country,” said actor, producer and Indian Motorcycle enthusiast Mark Wahlberg. “This ride is a wonderful opportunity to support each other and enjoy the natural beauty of this great nation.”

Nice. Indian getting a good image with vets.

Great idea! We need to do what we can for the vets since our own government doesn’t seem to make them a priority. I know a nice bike ride has saved me thousands in psychology doctors appointments!
    Semper Fi !

Maybe, our government should give all our vets a motorcycle ( for just reward and therapy) Chump change to the VA

Highrider: excellent idea! With what our government is handing out to illegal aliens, buying motorcycles for vets wouldn’t even be a drop in the bucket!! On top of that the vets actually served this country!

Great cause, good looking sidecar rig, also. (Maybe just give each veteran an illegal alien to use as they wish?)

Chills. Such an awesome idea. I hope it grows and grows every year. And I wish you guys could keep your political crybaby comments to yourselves and just celebrate a great gift for those who deserve it most.

We were in town last year when the ride arrived and it was an amazing experience – I can only imagine what a great experience it was for our vets. There were smiles for miles!

It just warms my soul seeing Mark Wahlberg giving back. Wouldn’t it be great if he could give back that guy’s sight after he beat him over a six pack of beer? He’s just trying to come across as a compassionate guy so he can get the feds to drop his felony conviction.

I’m glad that I don’t live in the public spotlight so that nameless and faceless people can condemn stupid decisions I made back in the 1980’s.

    Gym,
Your comment was about to piss me off – until I finished reading it. Thankfully others know what this POS has done.
And Chris – there’s my full name. I otherwise go by 18Bravo. I authorize Cyril to give you my email address if want to discuss anything further.

Chris, I believe YOU fall under your description of “faceless”, do you find yourself distasteful? Cyril, perhaps it’s time to make folks post under their own identity, since some folks are offended by the current system? Thanks.

Okay, I’ll take my lumps and admit that I was wrong on this one. My point was that he was 15 at the time and I sure did some really stupid things when I was 15.

That said, after doing what I should have done before commenting, that is, review the facts of the matter, I see that my comment was out of line. Yep, I did dumb stuff when I was 15 but never engaged in racially motivated hate crimes.
