You can add a big, bold sound to a Harley-Davidson Touring motorcycle model with the new Boom! Audio Stage II 6.5” Batwing Fairing Speakers (P/N 76000524A, $329.95*) from Harley-Davidson®.
Powered by a dedicated 300 watt amplifier (sold separately), Stage II speakers are designed to work seamlessly with the factory-installed Boom!Box infotainment unit on 2014-later Touring motorcycles. These three-way speakers feature high-excursion woofers for extended bass performance, and a bridge-mounted mid-frequency driver and separate tweeter for rich vocals and startlingly real treble notes.
Each speaker is powered by two channels from the Boom! Audio 300 watt amplifier – one 75 watt channel powers the woofer, and another 75 watt channel powers the mid/tweeter combo for true audiophile performance. Built with composite speaker frames, heavy-weight magnets and protective perforated-metal grills, these weather- and vibration-resistant speakers are designed for motorcycle use. The complete kit includes two three-way speakers, electronic crossovers, grills and plug-in connections. Separate purchase of amplifier and fitment-specific installation hardware is required. See an authorized Harley-Davidson dealer for fitment details. For 2015-later Road Glide® models, Harley-Davidson offers the Boom! Audio Stage II 6.5” Road Glide Fairing Speakers (P/N 76000594A, $359.95*).
Should be offered stock…
Should have an automatic volume reduction feature once the bike is below a certain speed so the rest of us don’t have to suffer through people’s terrible taste in music. But then again, so should cars.lol
JohnnySpeed, I just assumed that the folks that roll their windows up while next to me at a stop light had the crappy taste in music.
I think it does. Harley calls it AVC, but most of the time it gets turned off anyways
Dayum, 330 bucks for a pair of speakers and you still have to buy the amp separately? And this is after you throw away the stock parts included in the price of the 40k dollar CVO? What was it P.T. Barnum said???
Like Roberto & BobS said. When you move into a top dollar bike, it should be built with a sound system that doesn’t leave you with mediocrity until you throw another grand at it. Showing my age here, but you expected am average radio & 2 speakers with a Buick Skylark and new you were getting great sound (plus amp and cassette ) with your new Park Avenue Limited. I get the fact that the MoCo wants the extra few hundred dollars add-on profit, but pricing (to me) looks like they already built THAT into the sticker.
oops, voice to text and I didn’t proofread two, to, 2, too well
Kuryakyn offers thru MTX their “Road Thunder” upgrade Fairing Speaker Kit for ’98 thru ’13 FLH’s that INCLUDES a 400W amp with upgraded marine grade speakers, new speaker grilles and wiring harness for only $499.99. Best of all it’s truly plug and play.
$329.95 for just the speakers? That has to be a typo! =0
I agree with the sentiment here. Premium price should include premium sound. The Boom audio upgrade equipment is probably on par with the audio setup in the Victory Magnum X-1.
My $400 setup (head unit, amp, speakers) blows both away in terms of sound quality, in my opinion.
Hogtunes has a better option for these bikes. There is an 20 yr warranty on their speakers and they sound better. Can’t beat that!
Agree with Roberto, Bob S. & Woody
Premium price on a heavyweight cycle means you should get premium equipment for it !!!
Besides like IndustryGuy just said, there a LOT of better options out there for your sound system
that are more cost effective & work just as well, if not better !!!!
(Hogtunes is one of the best !!!)
bobs and others…The CVO Street Glide ($37,800) DOES come with the complete upgraded BOOM sound system. The standard Street glide ($20,999) come with the “standard” sound system.
