Ness company again just giving away their products! $109 for this oil filter cover I didn’t know I needed is the bargain of the century.

Mike for some people dressing up their ride is part of the enjoyment of ownership. You are right of course, that you personally don’t need, one but then again do you need your motorcycle in the first place? Bikes for most of us are for fun and enjoyment and if part of that is dressing up some of the components, why not?

Doc — sure, so which one did you order? The beveled or the deep cut? Send us a pic so we can all see how nice your oil filter is.

Or you could buy a K&P lifetime oil filter that not only looks great but filters the oil better than a paper filter and can be reused.

I prefer the Harley design billet oil “cooler” cover. Less than ½ price of Ness and actually increases surface area of oil filter for some cooling effect. Of course, get an oil cooler if you can afford it, ha, ha.

I bought a forever billet oil filter for a couple bucks more——————-nice but pricey

Let the market decide, I am sick of people poo pooing every new product that comes on here as over priced, not needed or you could do it better with two popsicle sticks and a rubber band.

I’m so glad that I only added those things I “need” to my Harley and not every thing that the great photos might make me “want”.

My big challenge has been convincing the wife that I legitimately “needed” everything I bought and installed.before consulting her. She’s been OK with the things that increased safety, like new bars to get my arms into the safest position, the hand stitched Corbin seat designed to keep rider and passenger firmly in place on sharp turns and of course all the lights that keep us highly visible on the road. But, I haven’t yet convinced her of the value of being more able to safely pass a truck on a mountain road with the added power of that new S&S motor I “NEED”!

calif phil – you nailed it! So many whiners, nitpickers and assorted self-styled critics. My Granny used to say, “If you can’t say something good about somebody or something, don’t say anything.” And Gorgax, as the boys and K&P will tell you, I have used their filters for decades.
