Solo Saddlebags With Fuel Bottle Holder

Your gas tank may belong to the peanut category or even bigger the gas station may still be far away. Instead of a regular saddlebag, you may prefer one including a fuel bottle holder. I know, some may prefer to fill it up with whatever, but it’s your choice. These solo saddlebags are available for your Softail or Sportster or rigid frame bike, and attach on the left side on your swingarm or frame tubes with four leather buckle straps.

Made with genuine cowhide leather in different colors and finish or military grade canvas with high quality stainless steel hardware. Double stitching with heavy nylon thread and interior leather reinforcement to keep the bag in shape for a very long time. They come with 1 La Rosa Design 30oz Fuel Bottle. Made in The USA. MSRP from $189.99 to $244.99. At La Rosa Design.

I think it’s great for all the peanut tank guys who never know how low they are in gas.

doesn’t there exist laws against fillings small containers like that with gas.

    potential molotov cocktails??

I’ll just skip California. In most places there are definitions of suitable containers. Worldwide these are defined in various regulations. Most places want you to remove the container regardless of size from the vehicle and to fill it sitting on the ground. Depending on the material of the approved container some will use a ground strap while filling, practice no open flame or smoking as well as turn off cell phones. The point that bigitch makes is still a valid one. Use common sense. Lacking that, find someone that does. I’m not being rude but have the scars and memories of very close calls for want of knowledge prior to saying “what’s the worse that could happen”.

I bought a fuel bottle for an older bike with no reserve. It’s a brilliant solution to a inevitable problem.

I’ve been riding with a dual set of these for 4 years. I had rigid plastic inserts built for $60 and use heavy zap straps to secure them. They have been used more than once and definitely give me peace of mind on road trips knowing I have an extra 20 miles with the combined bottles!
