Not only for traditional styling but also for slightly better performance.
Lloydz Motor Works is claiming a 5 to 6 hp gain when replacing your stock Thunder Stroke 111” air cleaner with their Arrowhead Airbox.
It is available either in chrome finish or black powdercoat with contrast-cut. Choice of filter element in red, black, or natural un-dyed. Fitting all Indian Thunder Stroke 111” motors. MSRP $495.00 (currently in back order). Lloydz Motor Works.
$495?? Wow… Is that US?
an arrowhead… you know, cause Indian get it
$495.00 ? Shirley that’s a typo !
(I know, don’t call you Shirley!)
That’s a hundred dollars a horse.
It’s the motorcycle world we live in. Doesn’t matter how fast the bike is, juat has to sound like it. Doesn’t matter how comfortable the bike is, just has to look badass. I know Lloyd and I know his products well. They aren’t cheap ’cause they aren’t crap. They’re quality pieces manufactured in lower volumes…well ’cause there aren’t a lot of Vic’s or Indians out there so no economies of scale to make his parts cost less. Unfortunately this part doesn’t appear to be true performance parts like I’m used to seeing coming from Lloyd’s. Another “lifestyle” expense to impress at the bar. I’m sure it will sell well.
When I see a claimed 5-6 HP increase, I’d kinda like to see something to back that up. Not that would purchase it if it were available for the Scout. Plenty of powered there already.
Looks awesome, but for the name all over it
I wish this had been available BEFORE I spent 500 on the Indian stage 1 AF. This one is much better looking.
