Postcards From Swiss-Moto. February 16-19.

Swiss Moto is Switzerland’s biggest motorcycle industry event. For 4 days, the focus is on new vehicle models, on custom bikes, on new accessories and innovation in the clothing sector. Add some spectacular shows and you will attract in Zurich 75,000 visitors from Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Italy. The bike show is very international and included 70 creations picked out of 160 potential entries.

Let’s pay tribute to dealer Baechli Harley-Heaven crowned “Kustom King” of Switzerland with the black Sportster featured just above. Starting his motorcycle business literally from his garage in 1967, Felix Baechli and his son Rainer, who has taken over the helm at the Harley-Heaven in 2002, celebrate 50 years in business in 2017.

For our Swiss friends, a big party party will take place at the renovated dealership in Dietikon March 24-16. To celebrate such an anniversary Baechli Harley-Heaven will release a total of 7 custom bikes during the year. (photos @ H. Roesler for C. Huze)

like the panhead with the big chrome pans. those chrome pans bring back images of dennis hopper’s easy rider chopper.

Some nice bikes. Not as radical as I expected. Main difference from US builders is the Euro’s believe in brakes.
