I might have a bit of a problem with these, as I have been producing them for the SOF community since 2013. I originally put them on my bike, the Infidel Chopper, easily found on Google, in 2012. Dar and I met at the Dallas show in 2012, where I expressed appreciation for his “arresting cable” foot peg, and he expressed appreciation of my, you guessed it, muzzle brake foot controls.

18bravo, I assure you we did not copy your pegs. I am sorry, but I do not remember meeting you either, as I meet hundreds of people a year with bike related events & such. If you say we met, I believe you. If you say I complimented your bike, I believe you. But I must admit to not remembering it at all. When we are designing new parts, the first thing we do is a search to make sure we are not stepping on any toes or inadvertently copying a design by someone else. We did that in this case and did not find any pegs like ours out there. We never came across your pegs or anyone selling a peg like the ones we’ve designed. We designed these because we have an affinity for guns and in fact built a bike last year for a prominent gun company manufacturer. We were inspired. During our development, we shared with transparency on all our social media channels for the last couple months that we were designing and making these. We even got input from social media on what to name them. Given your comments above about your chopper, I’ve been able to locate and look at your bike and your pegs. I am quite convinced that our pegs are completely different then yours. There are many styles of parts out there that are similar and yet different. Even Harley Davidson has a “silencer” peg. Many companies have round pegs. Many companies have a peg with a slanted bottom positioned as a “race” or “speed” peg. I am sorry if you feel we were inspired by your pegs, but truthfully we were not. I wish you success in your endeavors to sell your pegs. Cyril, thank you for your continued support of our company. Thank you for the post.

I would like to thank both gentlemen for an appropriate and intelligent conversation regarding their issue. It is refreshing to see companies speak to each honestly and intelligently, and not internet slander BS. Well said Dar and good luck with your product.
