This a warning to everybody working in the motorcycle industry. An individual, supposedly French citizen, calling himself alternatively Pierre Dubois or Pierre Müller and possibly other aliases, pretending to be a journalist of well known print or digital custom motorcycle magazines in the US and Europe, contacts industry vendors to get free parts and samples to be tested then featured in “his” magazine.
Sometimes, he pretends to be about to launch or to work for the foreign edition of a current magazine that you know or work with, even when this edition doesn’t exist. Some major vendors of the industry have been duped, sending all types of parts to this guy with delivery at a US or French postal address. Of course, it’s a scam with the parts probably destined to be sold for a 100% profit or maybe used for his own custom motorcycle project(s).
First, nobody at the Cyril Huze Post has ever solicited free parts to be tested with the promise to feature them in our magazine. Second, I would recommend to all vendors to never send anything to a person you don’t know personally as being a journalist employed by a magazine you know well, and without contacting first the Chief Editor and verifying that the address of delivery is a true business address, not a PO Box. On the following page, an example of the way Pierre Dubois/Muller contacts vendors of the industry to get free custom parts.
Below, an exchange between this crook and Ride Wright Wheels (yes, they have been alerted) He pretends to be the editor of the French edition of the German magazine Custom Bike. This French edition doesn’t exist, has never existed! He has created an email address close to the one used by the publisher of Custom Bike Germany, Huber-Verlag. He ordered wheels from Ride Wright in exchange for a feature in this French edition. It would be nice that you use Pierre Dubois/Muller email (pierre.muller@huber-verlag.fr) to send him a direct link to this article. So, he will know his exact status versus all the custom industry…(French speaking readers can also congratulate him at the tel. number listed in his emails) Thank you.

My question for the rear swing arm fitment what swing arm you are using and what is the offset we need to offer
For ease of assembly, or do you want me to offer the 18 x 10.5 with the traditional standards we have for the general
Frame with such wide tire fit,
Please advise
Sam,

Internet created crooks. Internet helps catching crooks. Thank you Cyril.
There’s nothing much worse than thieves and con men. I hope they catch this one and lock him away.
Thanks for the reminder to remain vigilant Cyril.
You just can’t trust anyone you don’t know…always someone out there running a scam. Be careful!
Thanks for your support Cyril. And good to see how our motorcycle industry and the serious motorcycle press stand together to catch this thieve.
I’ve been contacted by several of these guys, although I’m not sure about this exact individual; and then there are the knockoff artists. May their livers rot.
Almost got me with PayPal. Always trust your gut feeling and research the transaction.
wow, such Diabolical thinking and Conniving using the internet. My idea is much less painful and won’t hurt to mush using the Internet.I just want to Nick everyone in the US for just a measly 1.00 .#%?*#$%
scary out there sometimes if you aren’t aware–used to be in the catering business–and would get requests from all over the world for sandwich delivery

Let’s French police manage it 😉
The solicitation of donated or gifted aftermarket motorcycle parts or accessories with false promises of media exposure and free Advertisement is sometimes referred to as being part of the “free shit army”. This guy must be a general or something
