In Memory Of Client And Friend Paul Gren 1964-2017

“About 10 years ago, Cyril created the bike you see here for a man who became a great friend to me. We met after the bike was delivered to Paul Gren, here in Longwood, Florida. There were some teething pains, and Cyril asked if we could sort them out for Paul, which we did. The bike is typical Cyril Huze art! A bobber based on a Chica frame, with cool touches everywhere, a great TP engine, a hand tooled seat and an amazing paint job by Chris Cruz (long before Fairless could spell Graffiti!).

Paul and I became fast friends and put many miles on our customs together. We went many times to Easyrider bike shows on the east coast, to custom shows in South Florida and local bike nights many. These are memories I will never forget. I lost track of Paul for a number of years as time and life changes often do to people, until about 2 months ago. Paul showed up with this bike and his wife’s Softail. Both covered in dust having been ignored for over 5 years. Needless to say, we got them both running and shined up nicely, and I got some time with my old friend.

Two days ago, at Paul’s Tow Company yard, someone who parked illegally and could not afford his tow bill, shot Paul at point blank range! To think that my friend, a husband and father of three at only 53 years old was killed by an a**hole over a car is unfathomable!

Our hearts go out to Kim, his lovely wife, Eva, Jake, Alex his children and everyone who will never get to share another smile with this gentle man. The motorcycling community has lost a great friend! Godspeed Paul.”

I didnt know Paul that well but we did speak at gatherings and school he was a very kind good natured guy, I cant see how a car can bring someone to the point of shooting someone. We all have jobs to do in lifeand that is what he was doing,Maybe the shooter should have confronted the police for having it towed. The shooter will get the mental help he needs now in jail,or death Row whatever he gets,My condolences to family ,

Sorry for your loss. I hope Tremain Polk rots in jail. People like him do not deserve to breathe.

I didn’t know Paul very well. I met Paul and his wife through his son, Jake who plays gigs around Orlando with my son. I do know Jake looked up to his dad. He was always talking about something his dad did or said. He relied on his dad to help him out when his vehicle broke down. Now he only has memories. A crazy man with a GUN shot Jake’s dad for nothing! NOTHING! Jake I am thinking of you and your family. You are in my prayers.

Just found out about this today ( 01/23/18). Tore me up to hear it.
I’m not the kind of person that looks up too many people but I looked up to Paul.
What an absolute shame that this happened and it’s hard to soak in. Just unbelievable and senseless.
    May he rest in peace.
