You know, the Battle Of The Kings (BOKT) is on several continents, making Harley dealers compete against each other, improving the company’s image and each dealer retail bottom line. This “Rascal Racer” is one of the customs that I missed in 16/17 when it won the Harley-Davidson UK & Ireland Battle of the Kings custom contest.
Original entry line-up was 30 Harley-Davidson dealer-built custom Sportster Iron 883™ motorcycles. From this choice, five BOTK finalist machines hosen by an online public voting. Warr’s 883 is a great choice. The London Kings Road-based dealership is no stranger to this type of honors, including o success within inaugural BOTK contest in 2015 with its stunning Dark Custom ‘Urban Racer Sprint’ based on the XL1200 Sportster Forty-Eight.
“Rascal Racer” is an immaculate modern interpretation of the iconic Harley-Davidson XLCR Cafe Racer. As with all entries the base bike used for Warr’s Dark Custom entry was the Sportster® Iron 883 from the Harley-Davidson® Dark Custom range, achieved within a maximum retail price of both bike and customization of 12,995 british pounds. Judging criteria? 1) design vision, 2) originality and creativity and 3) quality of build and execution.

Problem is ; This is a race bike replica that never existed , not a custom – it uses a livery [ Rothmans ] that never saw the light of day on an HD – the HD on the gas tank looks more like HRD [ Honda Racing & Development ] even going so far as to use HRD’s colors etc . But gee . Other than that : its , ok .
