Carey Hart Gets Tattooed With Ink Made With Carbon From His Own Indian Motorcycle. You Can Too.

Motorcycles are in your blood. In Carey Hart’s too. A third-generation motocross rider, in 2003, he was the first man to land a back flip on a motorcycle and now is either building or riding bikes or donating his time to a multitude of worthy charities. The bond between Carey and riding has never been stronger. Now, he and Indian Motorcycle have made that connection literal, and everlasting. To prove it in grand fashion, self-described rebel Carey Hart used a unique ink to permanently inscribe his son’s name Jameson on his neck.

Indian Motorcycle Ink is composed of carbon ash collected from Hart’s lIndian Super Hooligan motorcycle on May 22nd, 2017 outside of Los Angeles, California and used it as pigment in sterile and safe tattoo ink to mark him forever. How is this safe? The answer came from Carey’s longtime tattoo artist, Franco Vescovi, co-founder of Nocturnal Ink. Franco brings decades of top-quality ink manufacturing experience to the table, ensuring the tattoo process is sterile and safe. The carbon simply acts as a pigment carried by the alcohol suspension. In fact, many black inks on the market use carbon as pigment.this one just happens to come from a smoldering motorcycle tire and a smoking tailpipe…

As a result, Carey is now the first first known person tattooed with ink made with carbon from his own motorcycle. The Indian Motorcycle Ink will be used exclusively at Vescovi’s Vatican Studios in Lake Forest, CA and at four Hart & Huntington Tattoo shops in Las Vegas, Orlando, Niagara Falls and Nashville beginning July 11th until they run out, and the ink is gone forever.

I held it together until I read “Self described rebel…” and then I laughed a lot. Carey has done some neat stuff, but that is one hilarious phrase no matter who it’s about.lol

Did he use an eagle feather from a Native American headdress for the tattoo needle as well? So rebellious…

Crap like this makes me not want a new Indian. Just make a really good bike, people will buy it.

Come on Indian. This sound like some crappy HD advertising, we foregive you sale, your better than that. You’ve got the product. Don’t bring it down to their level.

I can’t figure out why there is so much hate in the comments? Not just this post but almost all of the posts that Cyril brings us, so many hateful comments…pathetic.

I have an FTW tattoo on my left arm … we burned up some plastic chess pieces, held a cup over and caught the soot in it… a couple drops of water and viola, we had ink!! A piece of paper clip melted into a broken off toothbrush handle, sharpened on the concrete floor was our “tattoo needle”… Do I win?!? It took all day … Ouch!
    …………………….. Domino Dave………………………….
p.s. You can guess where this took place

Burned Ace of spades, little E string, ball point pen tube, pencil eraser, rubber band, walkman motor and urine does not make a rebel but it does make a tattooed inmate.

  25. 25 nicker Jul 15th, 2017 at 10:31 pm

    ….dogs,
There is a big difference between “ridicule” and “hate”…
How can you hate that which you dismiss as irrelevant?
By definition there is nothing there to hate….

I’m a 40+ year Indian guy, with tattoos, and I actually really like the new Indians…but this…this is even beyond Harley Davidson level branding insanity.

Does one really need underwear, a pinball machine, toilet paper and every damn thing in your house or now, on (or IN) your person…to be brand loyal?

    Seriously.

    Just ride.
