House Of Power S&S Cycle has specialized in making power for close to six decades and that focus has been applied to each new generation of Harley-Davidson engines. The Milwaukee-Eight® is no different and after months of R&D, dyno and ride time S&S is proud to launch a new collection of pure performance parts. The S&S 475 cam hits the magical 100Hp at the wheel mark and is available in gear or chain drive. Combined with performance intake and exhaust, that’s a 32% increase in power! To make the job easier S&S is also offering their proven Quickee Pushrods allowing for a cam install that does not require the top end to be disturbed.
475 100 HP Cam • Bolt in 100 Horsepower! (when coupled with intake and exhaust) • Perfect for 107″ and 114″ engines • compatible with all stock valve train components For even bigger power, check out S&S 550 grind cam and heavy duty valve springs for the 114″ touring and Softail models.
HD,stop making anemic engines!
still14 horse down on my Victory Vegas, and I got 123ft/lbs
thats at the wheel.
no contest
But it is the success of parts like this that is finally (maybe) starting to creep into the arrogant minds of the OEM CEO’s. We all moved to cruisers because we’re tired of uncomfortable sport or dirt bikes that require us to wear a backpack if we want to do more than spend an hour of play time with a motorcycle. I know a lot disagree with this next part, but I know a lot agree too…This doesn’t mean we don’t want fast fun bikes!!! Harley RUB’s and posers couldn’t see past the group think to discover Victory and even then Victory was only a step in the right direction. It too was still hobbled by trying to be like Harley. Maybe the new Fat Bob will sell really well to guys that buy cams and big bores like me (Vic 100″ 124 tq 116 rwhp) and that will show somebody that there is a market for high performance cruisers.
Why should you have to change the cams, air intake and exhaust, spending time and money on bolt-on kits to have a bike perform as it should from the manufacturer, when you’ve already spent 20 -30K.
HD needs better management, allow the designers and engineers the freedom to produce a MC that fulfills its potential, for the money you spend.
I agree if you spend 40,000 dollars for a bike you should get not only the updates bit all the best that is offered. I bought a 2017 cvo and I found put after the the 114 has the same stock cam as the 107. I was totally disappointed and to add to my pain someone could buy a plain street glide for 20,000 and put a 114 kit in and blow my doors off. I say thats just wrong I bought the cvo because it had a 114 I shouldn’t have to spend more money to get what I though I had already paid for .I also dont want to tear into a brand new motor to bring it to the power level it should have already been at. Pissed.
According to a post that was summited a couple weeks ago the M8 Harley’s were 100hp stock (they saw this on a dyno test on you-tube) why would you buy the S&S? Maybe some of these post are only valid if you are angry and have an agenda that is negative! Hummmm!
Kent, completely stock 107 makes about 80hp at the wheel, the 114 is about 85hp. These drop in cams are a huge gain when paired with a breather and pipes. It looks to me like the M8 will be a solid motor going forward, they kept the best things about an HD motor while refining the things that weren’t particularly endearing.
