First Customized Brand New 2018 Fat Boy?

For each new motorcycle model there is a rush from dealers and from independent shops to become the first to customize it and to make it known by the largest number of bikers. Even if customization is limited, like in this case, to a 4-day labor job and a very limited number of motorcycle brand genuine accessories, it’s an opportunity to imagine what a full custom job could be.

As you know, although the new Fat Boy is more muscular than ever (a 160mm front and 240 mm rear solid-disc wheels), it is 29 lbs lighter than ever and benefits from a 34% stiffer chassis overall. I recently rode the new Fat Boy and was surprised, it was extremely comfortable for me at 5′-10″, suspension was spot, on handled great except tight corners and the 114 engine had plenty or go. I would definitely love to have one in my garage and the only changes I’d make would be to uncork the motor and the addition of some sort of windshield!

That frame is just flat out ugly. The old softail frame was silly, but at least it had nice lines. These new ones are just gross.

…. the saddle needs to be extended rearward for us tall guys… I hate sitting half-way on the seat and the fender…

Hi, super cool bike. What’s the exact handle bar you used to this custom? I want one like that for my fatty 2018!

Where did you get the seat? I sat on a Breakout seat similar to yours and I love it. Very comfortable. I can’t seem to find one with a 2018 Fatboy fitment.
    Thanks.
