Vanguard Premium, Advanced Carbon Fiber And Titanium Motorcycle Helmets

Vanguard is complementing its line of helmets launched this past May with a new full-face version. These new helmets, developed in partnership with helmet manufacturer Veldt and riding tech innovator Fusar, are fully ECE/DOT-approved and stated as among the lightest and closest fitting that can be found in the market. They can optionally be factory-fitted with Fusar Bluetooth headsets and combined with the Fusar Handlebar Remote Control, giving access to the newest technology and app for motorcycling.

The “FF Carbon” and “FF Alu” helmets are made with the best components – Toray carbon fiber, AkzoNobel paint and titanium hardware – and are manufactured according to the best techniques in the industry, delivering safety, convenience, comfort and style to the rider.

They are incredibly light and comfortable and built around the “4 in 1” concept allowing your full-face helmet to become an open-face helmet by removing the chin-bar, and the other way round, and supplied with adjustable pads to fit each head perfectly. With a MSRP of $770 (including shipping for direct orders), and $830/$900 with optional Fusar technology packages, these helmets are available now at Vanguard’s Webshop and at Ducati Triumph NYC (155 Sixth Avenue in Manhattan).

Nice, and at only $770 its extremely affordable for the average Joe. These should fly off the shelves!

I don’t find $770 particularly affordable. I thought paying $600 for a Shoei Neotech was pretty expensive when I bought it. I think the price point is getting onto rarified territory.

For that price you can get 7 helmets that will do the same job.

Where are these technological wonders manufactured?

I don’t think $800, if you can afford it, is too high a price for a good helmet. I’m just wondering if they are subject to the same 5-year window of reliability that most other helmets are. If so, they might not be worth it, if you have to discard them after 5 years anyway.

    Good point!
I just tossed an aging helmet that I really loved into the trash bin.
    Glad it didn’t cost $800.

My head is worth way more than $800 IMHO…
