Should Motorcycles Be Allowed Between Lanes of Traffic in Arizona? Bill Says Yes. Under a new proposed law, the practice could become legal in Arizona, making Arizona more like its neighboring state and many European countries. In 2015, a study by the University of California, Berkeley, found that lane-splitting is “relatively safe” when performed at speeds under 50 mph. Arizona Senator David Farnsworth, R-Mesa, recently introduced the bill for the coming legislative session, which begins in January. The bill, SB 1007, strikes out the clauses in statute that make lane-splitting, also known as filtering, illegal.

Pope Francis is Auctioning Off A Lamborghini to raise money for charity, specifically to help Christian communities devastated by the Islamic State militant group (ISIS) in Iraq. In 2014, he sold a Harley-Davidson motorcycle in aid of a homeless shelter in Rome. The Pope is known for his modest taste in transportation, eschewing his “Popemobile” for a small, black Fiat 500. So when Lamborghini handed him a papal gold and white Huracan, there was little chance that Vatican City natives would see the pontiff performing donuts in St. Peter’s Square. Francis blessed the special-edition car in a Vatican City ceremony on Wednesday. The value of a typical Huracan in Europe is around $236,000(200,000 euros) But at auction, with the pope’s blessing, his signature on the hood, and the gold and white design, the car is expected to ship for even more.

With that 650 twin, maybe Royal Enfield will have something that won’t vibrate your teeth out now.
And Harley Davidson paying 3%? Way better than a bank!

I look forward to hearing one of these RE 650’s in person. They might be a contender! Splitting lanes should be legal in all 50 states. Done properly it isn’t dangerous; especially once car drivers haven’t gotten used to bike going by while they sit in stop and go rush hour traffic or from an accident ahead.

the twin RE’s will be interesting?

the future of motorcycling will be decided by those who are adaptive. and exhibit an open ear, and mind.

the “new riders,” the youths, want smaller units, and the “aging demographic,” the elephant in the room – many can no longer physically ‘hold up” a big bike & they DON’T want a reverse mortgage so they can buy an HD trike…nor do they want a Spyder, or Slingshot.

the trend is towards lower displacement, less emphasis on touring? RE understands, BSA making a comeback, the Scout 60, sadly HD “blew it” with the Street & have made the beloved Sportster out-of-reach price wise for 1st time buyer? lots of great priced used XL’s out there….and let’s not forget the re-birth of Honda’s venerable Rebel! i am sure there are others that are worthy of mention.

    fun times we live in!!

that new honda rebel is interesting. splitting lanes is fine but i have yet to see anyone use it as it’s intended, mainly dangerous brats that think they are special

Triumph and Avon tyres go together like peanut butter and jelly.

Avon are the worst tires I have ever taken off my 1996 Thunderbird. Absolute crap.

Must have been willing to sell tires to Triumph at the lowest price for the classics. At least they put Pirelli on their performance bikes.
