Classic Briggs & Stratton.
Ummm…classic Two Throat S&S to me
Price is a little steep, but I love the style of it. Like Sharkey said, modeled after the old S&S 2 throat air cleaner.
A nickel this side of $300?? NO THANKS.
U G L Y YOU AINT GOT NO ALIBI, YOU UGLY!
They should show us what it looks like installed.
Got to be honest “Guzzi” Greg…….anybody that likes Moto Guzzi has no room to call anything else ugly.
Nice job Walter!!
Franchement je n’aime pas du tout.
The center cone is a real good thing for the airstream, since S&S not many used it – why ?
I think it`s a basic performance thing.
Buell has it on the XB models.
The inlet has some Venturi in it, that is another plus.
That air cleaner`s raw and simple style just does not fit to any (stock) bike, on the right application it will look just right – not ugly, but on the wrong bikes it will look out of place.
Yes it`s not a cheap part, but it think for what it is, not over the top.
Casting parts in little numbers for little benefit is no fun for the maker.
If we want custom parts, we have to pay a little more than for average parts.
It also prevents seeing them on every corner.
I like it.
@ Mark
a “mounted”-picture is on their website.
Not ugly to me !
I wish it had a K&N element, the element is an important factor as well and that standard foam is a bit sad.
Maybe I’m just too old, but I can remember paying less money for complete motorcycles, so this raw finished piece seems silly at $300. If I want a retro look ill run an old round style linkert air cleaner shell on a cv or S&S.
Well; I remember those cheap days…also remember what I earned then, too…
I have the “cliche” S&S air cleaner, but it’s a polished cast beauty that says “CYCLE” not “SUPER” as so many incorrectly run…as an every day bike I like availability of fresh air filter elements
Cyril, Thank you very much for posting about our Air Cleaner. I appreciate all the comments. we tried our best to make the best air cleaner we could. At the same time we tried to make it as affordable as possible but, Easygear is right about making small run custom parts in the USA. It ain’t cheap! have a great week everyone! -Walter
It’s a thing of beauty, Walter. You should be very proud.
