13th Edition Of CUSTOMBIKE in Bad Salzuflen, Germany (December 1-3, 2017)

More than 40 modified Milwaukee Eight Softails, customized from mild to wild, were presented at this show by both official dealers as well as by renowned custom builders and customizers and European parts manufacturers. The style? As usual, a low stance with fat rear tires and think steel short fenders. To be noticed, the 2018 Harley Softail line, including the new Sport Glide released a few weeks ago in Italy at EICMA, has inspired a 1.026-page catalog of o,e.9m aftermarket parts! To this add the custom parts imagined by all independents.

Blowing everybody’s mind, official dealer and customizer Thunderbike was on a 3-month rampage and did develop and adapt a record breaking of 130 parts specifically designed for the M8 Softails. In addition, the builder exhibited 14 modified or hardcore customized “Milwaukee Eight” powered Softail models! Others like Harley-Factory Frankfurt, HD-Bielefeld, Rick’s Motorcycles and German craftsmen like Werner Mueller, also presented custom M8 creations.

While CUSTOMBIKE can boast 13 years this year, it was 20 years ago that the small town of Bad Salzuflen became the focus of the Custom Scene. It is now home to what has become one of the most important and biggest custom parts and bikes related fair worldwide.     Few of these are rideable, either due to TUV regs or weird ergos. That Jawa is case in point.

    I agree with Haden.The US builders just follow trends.Dave Cook should start building again! He has imagination!

    Start off talking about the M8s and the best bike on the page by far is the Honda powered chop, by far the only rideable bike here, hell they probably rode it to the show!
