Harley-Davidson Trying To Trademark “Harley Bronx”. Beginning of December, Harley-Davidson filed with the US Patent and Trademark Office a trademark request to use “Bronx” in association with their motorcycles and parts. Of course, many already imagine a brand new Bronx model or the association of the name with current Sportster or Street models. Urban bikers are one of the priority targets for all motorcycle manufacturers selling mid-weight models and the Bronx name seems perfect to conjure the tough urban jungle, as much when selling motorcycles, custom parts or a clothing line. Maybe the Bronx will be a Street 750 with an aggressive stance for today’s unique rider, with bold new colors for head-turning style.

Harley hasn’t had a long term vision in ages
When we look back we see this as the moment HD started its decline into oblivion, much like how the new lightweights sunk Indian in the early 50s or how the British industry and their lack of interest in Japanese machines in the 60s caused them to fail.
I do not know why HD can’t offer more than just wanna be “tough guy” cruisers to a shrinking demographic

I should add, HD needs to actually try to market and sell bikes other than cruisers too, unlike it did with Buell and the Vrod
