To celebrate premium craftsmanship, Swiss watchmaker Baume & Mercier and Indian Motorcycle, have unveiled two new limited-edition timepieces – the Clifton Club Scout and Clifton Club Chief. Together, the two form the Clifton Club Indian Legends, which celebrate heritage, fine craftsmanship and pure motorcycling spirit. Inspired by the iconic Indian Scout and Indian Chief, each has a limited run of 1,901 units, which represents the year Indian Motorcycle was founded, 1901.
Each timepiece is inspired by the rich history of Indian Motorcycle and reflects the best in micro-mechanical achievement. The Clifton Club Indian Legends exemplify the brand’s marriage of high-precision timekeeping and masculine sporting elegance. Alexandre Peraldi, Baume & Mercier’s Design Director, worked closely with Indian’s Industrial Design team to create these two \new watches.

Sigfreed, WOW! I guess PT Barnum was correct when he said “There’s a sucker born every minute” or something to that effect. After reading the Indian “stuff” over time now, it makes me wonder what their thinking. Who is promoting this stuff? It makes me wonder if the brains behind their approach ever sat on a bike. I’ve been riding bikes for 50 years and I can’t remember EVER thinking that I wished there was there an outrageously priced watch available for me to identify with as a rider. STRANGE!

Quite simply gentlemen: There are lots of very very wealthy people out there who can easily afford toys like this. You and I aren’t among them.

It is called business, and business goals is to bring in profit. That allows business to all the great things that they do provide service or goods, employ people, build new buildings, help the economy, donate to causes they believe in and so on. As long as the product or service they offer is Legal, Moral, and Ethical and now I have to ad the consumer is not FORCED to purchase, I have no problem with companies making as much profit as humanly possible. No one has a gun to their head to purchase these watches and obviously there is a market. so God Bless those who buy them and I hope there are many many more who do so we all can make a few bucks
above my pay grade . I’ll stick with the watch they sent in the welcome package.
