I like it. It makes this little bike look beefier.
The only thing I don’t like is the original front tire has that “balloon” tire look as intended, but the new wide rear is typical low sidewall radial. Looks very mismatched.
Looks great, I would just cringe when it came time to replace it!!

Like Mike said. Tires not matching makes them look like they’re just using up leftover parts. Looking at the smaller radii of the front fender makes me want to get a job in the Concentric Circle Dept. With a bottle of bourbon and a crayon, I could be the boss.
Most importantly what does it do to the handling ?
Handing seems secondary to macho looks and an aggressive stance for a mere fifth of the bike’s value.
I agree with Mike, Woody’s and Xenu….. not a bad idea…..but. Don’t get me wrong, the rear wheel looks really really good but when you look at it after a few seconds you notice the front & rear tires are very different in profile and don’t match. I’m expecting whatever handling there was is now totally whacked…. Also heavier and horsepower robbing….. to each their own I guess.

Kevin don’t know which victory that Gard came off or what parts a inter changeable nothing on the Chief is interchangeable with any victory.

Not many parts interchange between the Chief and a Victory, but the Indian Scout and Victory Octane are almost all interchangeable. I really like what is being attempted here, but like others it’s a swing and a miss. This is my biggest complaint with retro-izing a modern bike. The bike began development as the Victory Octane and was put on hold to give the design department time to make it look old so it could be released as an Indian. The engine cases, fenders, and exposed frame section just seem off. Even though the bike rides great. Put that back wheel on an Octane with a low profile 3.5” wide front and you have a real winner. Or, move Indian away from strict adherence to looking like something from 1940 and that would work too.
The nail in the coffin for victory and the v rods was putting those stupid tires on them anything over 180 190 is plenty for a good handling bike, a good 160 series tire is more than the chassis will handle, rc is just trying to get rid of the rim blanks nobody is buying for their harleys anymore and bolting different hubs on them, what about the offset for clearance for belt new front pulley or just shove the wheel to the right, all it needs is a monochromatic paint job and OCC sticker
