The vehicles concerned are: FXDB, FXDC, FXDF, AND FXDL Models. December 6, 2008. These models have a fuel tank vent tube which may have been produced with a defective ultrasonic weld on the anti-slosh valve. If the valve separates and the bike is tipped over, it may leak fuel. Fuel leakage in the presece of an ignition source could result in a fire. Dealers will inspect the fuel vent assembly and, if necessary, replace it. Owners may contact Harley-Davidson at 1-414-343-4056

Most motorcycles when knocked over will leak gas, with or without an anti-slosh thing-a-ma-jig
I know when Iam knocked over after leaving a bar,…. I leak.
has anyone heard their is a recall for the SPRINGER SOFTAIL 2009 CVO..
I purchase a brand new tank from HD in 06/ 08 for my 98 dyna 10 month later I notice a fuel leak at weld on the vent tube. I report to hd dealership and hd customer care dept. the dealership nor customer care will not warranty the workmanship. Now hd customer care will not return my calls. I only spend 1150.00 for a factory replacement tank. American made and will not stand behind your workmanship.BS this why people buy foreign bikes.I would been better off purchasing a aftermarket tank, half cost and they stand behind your work.
