Actor Larry Hagman, who created one of television’s iconic villains with the treacherous J.R. Ewing of “Dallas,” died Friday November 24. He was 81.
Larry was back in his beloved Dallas series, re-enacting the iconic role of J.R. Ewing he loved most. Hagman died at a Dallas hospital of complications from cancer..
Larry loved motorcycles, reason why I had the opportunity to meet with him several times during these last years.
Dallas was great American TV. RIP Larry Hagman.
Who is the person on the right?
R.I.P.
Cyril
Thanks for acknowledging Larry Hagman’s passing. Most people knew him from his roles on “I Dream of Genie” and “Dallas” but the SoCal V-Twin community knew him as a man who donated his celebrity to causes like The B.A.D. Ride (Bikers Against Diabetes), which is put on each year by motorcycle attorney/philanthropist Steve Schapiro in conjunction with the American Diabetes Assoc. of Orange County. His generosity to all who wanted to spend a moment with him, or who wanted to take a photo with him, at the B.A.D Ride, was legendary. Some people have a smile that can light-up a room. Larry’s smile could light up an event attended by thousands.
We’ll miss you Larry
Larry was one of the few celebs that I have met (at events such as The Love Ride) who was actually a pleasure to speak with. A regular down to earth guy with a great sense of humour.
Enjoyed Larry through his TV shows. One shrewd SOB he was at times, but of course that was his Dallas character.
You fought hard and long. …RIP Larry.
Boss Hawg
The guy was super funny at the one love ride i was back in 06-07……
Rest in Peace, Mr. Hagman.
Enhance his image in Photoshop Cyril… can’t see his face.
A true and gracious gentleman, RIP …….
I First met Larry at an Ugly mc event at Senator ben Campbel’s ranch in Ignacio in 93, He was an excellent guy all the way around! I was initially a little star struck, but Growing up with Major Nelson of Jeanie, I remembered being envious of him being stuck in that bottle with her sometimes…. Anyway, we will all miss him at the Ugly events and wish him and his family peace and love…
