  2. 2 Toby Sep 4th, 2014 at 9:40 am

    $700?

  3. 3 Brandon. Sep 4th, 2014 at 10:10 am

    Why not?

Love to camp off the bike…… $700 bucks? You can get a back packing ‘exploring’ type tent (if you really need that much tent) for $300-400 at REI. Best return policy in the retail world.

Trying to out Harley at being in your face

A clothing and out doors company with MotorCycle accessories.

If it comes with the rust and dirt stains it is even more of a try hard………………..

It’s like leather Jackets with pre scuffed surfaces and all the weathered and worn looking clothes and kit.. Buy new and shiny and go out and add the scars of living.

My original leather has scars scuffs and even stab holes, every mark, tear and stain is a story.

“your stories” cannot be bought you have to live them !!

That’s almost as absurd as paying $600 for a simple leather jacket because it has a big eagle with a bar and shield on the back.

Yep, this Indian tent will sell…

  8. 8 Keller Sep 4th, 2014 at 2:39 pm

Shifter is right. New “disstress” stuff sells very well or companies would not offer this style. Even for furniture.

    For the rich yuppie.

cant you by a real tent for climbing mount Everest for less ??

gotta get people people slurping up the Indian Kool-Aid some how…….so you might as well give them the Walter White blend first 🙂

  11. 11 BobS Sep 4th, 2014 at 3:31 pm

LMAO! Does it also come with the 200 watt flood light to place inside the tent and light up the 4X6 logo?

  12. 12 Septic the Sceptic Sep 4th, 2014 at 5:00 pm

Pesonally I thought it would take them a little longer than this to jump the shark.

  13. 13 Woody Sep 4th, 2014 at 5:02 pm

Bob, yes! If you order now we’ll throw in this 200w high pressure sodium lamp for free! (Just pay separate S&H) operators are standing by…waiting for the first “hater” who claims it’s actually a Polaris tent with an Indian logo printed on…

  14. 14 Blackmax Sep 4th, 2014 at 7:19 pm

Ok, so here goes the marketing thing
Yes, I know it’s a pain & you’re paying extra for a name stitched on whatever it is
(The old joke goes what does H-D really stand for?
A Hundred Dollars, every time you walk into a store)
But it’s worked for the Motor Company for decades !!!
Why shouldn’t Indian cash in on the nostalgia / branding / “I belong to the club(tribe)” too ?
I won’t be buying any, but hey it’s your money ???

This is not a brand thing ! !

It is people wanting to go out and look cool and buy the experience.
Then usually once they have scared themselves and moistened their girl friends nether parts they put this chapter back in the hall cupboard. Where it will gather well manicured dust…. But at least they can tell their cultured friends of their biker lifestyle story with their near tragedy and how she turned his life around .

    Makes me bilious.

    RE:
“… people wanting to go out and look cool and buy the experience …”

    h but then….
What people “want” to buy and what they “get” in the end are typically two different things.

Because, in Reality one can’t buy “credibility” ……. “poser” always shows through…….

Yeah but to some people 700 bucks is nothing. If they want a dirty looking tent with a picture of an Indian on it why not? I know a lot of rich people with no taste, but I also know a lot of poor people with no taste. The only difference is their ability to indulge their lack of taste.

    Nicker ( O B 1) I bow to your wisdom,
Your completely right ! Stills gives me a case of the shits though.
