Akrapovič was founded in Slovania in 1990 by former racer Igor Akrapovič, when he found there were no exhausts readily available to meet the high technical demands of motorsport. Akrapovič rapidly achieved a string of race successes across all motorsport disciplines, first with motorcycles then with cars. It is from this success that Akrapovič started in 2014 to produce premium exhaust systems for the five most popular Harley-Davidson families: Sportster, Dyna, Softail, Touring and V-Rod. All these exhausts are made of stainless steel and available in two versions: the Slip-On Line and the Open Line.
Slip-On systems Are All About Enjoyment. The Akrapovič muffler system can accept an optional sound control valve system, allowing riders to adjust the sound level with a simple optional switch to keep their hands clean. The catalytic converter is available for markets where this is appropriate. The Slip-On systems are modular and offer a change of end caps and the addition of a valve system, and they include a noise-reduction insert. It’s all up to the individual rider. The Slip-On Line exhaust systems for the 2014 Harley-Davidson Sportster, Softail, and Dyna now have new mufflers with specially developed noise inserts and chambers that enhance the unmistakable Harley-Davidson sound to give the machine an even greater and more satisfying growl. The new removable noise-reduction inserts and chamber offer the choice to adjust the interior components of the system and create different sound settings, from a “peaceful” setting to the “full-on” Harley roar mode. The Sportster also benefitting from an optional valve system that’s been developed to route exhaust gases through two different paths and move them from one exhaust pipe to another. Now when the optional valve is opened on the Sportster, the flow is less impeded, which makes it louder and increases performance while retaining the deep resonant sound that Harley-Davidson is known for.
The Open Line systems Are For Those Who Like It Loud And Proud. It will transform the look and sound of the original machine. Uniquely on the Open Line, Akrapovič uses a real silencer and not just a baffle. This enhances both performance and sound characteristics. The Akrapovič Open Line offers an optional insert, allowing customers to adjust the sound level.

Love those guys, top notch manufacturing facility. I get a kick out of the funky gas nozzle on their TIG torch. . . Looks like it’s wrapped in aluminum foil! We need to get them dialed in with a “Monster” or “Vortex” TIG nozzle!
