I Am Charlie

#jesuischarlieIn the 80’s, I have known Cabu – one of the cartoonists of Charlie Hebdo killed this morning in Paris by cowards. Freedom of speech must never surrender. Journalists don’t stand down to terror. Charlie Hebdo must live to defend the art of satire which has always been a force for liberty and against tyranny, dishonesty and stupidity.

America mourns with our friends in France (as they did with us on 9/11) and the victims and their families of this senseless terrorist attack.

In Paris last month, I was struck by the incredible civility and kindness of Parisians.
It’s hard to accept this sort of barbarism in such a beautiful place.
    My condolences.

GOD Bless the families of those murdered by these intolerant pseudoMuslims! No One deserves this! These idiots have no tolerance for anything, and are jealous of all freedom. These terrorists should be drawn and quartered SLOWLY.

Just another battle in WW-III, a war between cultures not nations.

    There’s a very lesson here.
Unfortunately not too many are willing to even address it, let alone learn it.
And increasingly, such brutality is the end result of those who hide their heads in the sand of stupidity.

Oh ya, Keep “hoping” for a “Change” into an un-assimilated multicultural America.

Don’t shoot the messenger., its too late for that now.

It’s just about time to drop a few big ones on these assholes wherever they spawn from. They want total world domination by converting everyone to Muslim or they’ll chop your head off. How would you like some goat herder tell you how to build your chopper? If you were to go back to WW II you’d find out that their grandparents were the ones who fought with the Nazi’s in North Africa. Politicians are too stupid to see that these terrorists are todays Nazi’s. Hillary Clinton said,” You have to be empathetic to your enemy.” Duh, why would you feel sorry for some Sand Nazi who wants to kill you and your whole family?

That’s my rant for the day. Shit, I feel better!

    Sympathy, Cyril, from England..

I know a few Muslims here and they are nice people… and as totally shccked as I am

These guys are just scumbags – just like the ones who killed Drummer Lee Rigby on the streets of London…

We Brits take the piss out of everyone and ourselves….
    We are all Charlie now…..

  9. 9 Wilhelm Jan 8th, 2015 at 7:21 am

I did not know him, still I can see from his work what a great guy he must have been. Slaughtered by misguided terrorists who take their god for an excuse for murder.

  10. 10 Tim Jan 8th, 2015 at 7:24 am

My Thoughts and prayers go out to the people of France over these wonton murders.
I agree we must never surrender and never stand down to terror. I wish more understood who the “religion of peace” truly is and when they see this behavior again they understand who these murders are. God bless

I wish every freedom loving magazine and newspaper would print that cartoon again. Enough with the PC . Unlike our lead from behind president we need to stand up to Islamic extremist terrorists.

Amen ! I know I’ve taken my leave from commenting [ due to other commitments and circumstances beyond my control ] but this one I could not ignore posting on ! Love em or leave em Charlie Hebdo is the very epitome of a bastion of free speech .

Fact is if it were available here in the US I’d personally purchase a 100 copies of the next issue coming out next week …. JUST to make a point to those who’d stand in the way of free speech … anywhere

Fact is … every cartoonist here in the US should be making a statement on this as well

And … the fact is … this is not a time for reflection or sadness despite the loss . This … is a time for anger

    Jes suis Charlie indeed !

And a huge two thumbs up to Cyril & Co for having the stones to take a stand and post this . May many more follow suit lest we all lose that which we’ve fought so hard for in the past !!!!

    Agree with everyone who commented
Down with the Cowards who would try to censor us (or anyone else) by terror.
They WILL be caught & if not now then some time (hopefully soon)
they will face Ultimate Judgement by the very same that they claim to profess
To Hell with them & all that are like them !!!!

Peace be with all who have suffered and suffered loss

Enough with the Neville Chamberlain thinking, appeasement got him Hitler trying to rule the world some keep saying “it’s just a few radical Muslims” wake up America these people hate the west, they are raised on it. Ever time something like this happens thousands of them are in the streets of their countries celebrating….

  18. 18 live2rideaglide Jan 9th, 2015 at 9:14 am

I just heard that the terrorists who did this said that they wanted to die as martyrs. I could help them with that. No cahrge.

  19. 19 Boots Jan 10th, 2015 at 1:54 am

With terror attacks like the one in France and the others that have taken so many lives, all the United States government wants to discuss is free community college!
    God help us!

  20. 20 Tom Ryan Jan 10th, 2015 at 1:38 pm

Boots, when the bombs start going off the politicians are the first ones into the bomb shelter. The Whitehouse and the liberal media are afraid to call these radicals, terrorists. All of these people in power are just quislings. Just heard today that the French politicians have being paying bribes to these terrorists for years. It’s not too smart paying people to let them kill you. I also heard that Paris has about seven of these NO GO zones. The police can’t enter these neighborhoods unless they get permission from these Iman’s first. Like they say, how come smart people are so stupid! This sure applies to French politicians who passed these crazy laws over the years. When the next terrorist act happens in the U.S., Obama is going to say that it’s only workplace violence. Obama is always the smartest guy in the room, but in the end, he’s just another cement head!

  21. 21 Jimmy Trenz Jan 10th, 2015 at 2:04 pm

Tom Ryan. I heard Obama and all media talk about terrorists. Maybe you watch only FAUX NEWS.

  22. 22 Tom Ryan Jan 10th, 2015 at 4:23 pm

Jimmy! I guess I should’ve been more specific. Don’t you find it strange that Obama and the media can’t use the name Muslim terrorist in the same sentence? At present, there are probably 50 plus wars and conflicts going on in the world right now. And, most of these are Muslim based.

  23. 23 Greeko Jan 10th, 2015 at 9:05 pm

Tom Ryan. Check Obama speech January 8, 3.00 pm ET. “These muslim terrorists don’t represent the Myuslim religion…” You are quite dishonest. Another republican living in a bubble…It’s the reason why you are going to lose again the next presidential election.

  24. 24 JohnyLetGo Jan 10th, 2015 at 9:12 pm

Tom Ryan, your statement is 100% false. All media, from left to right, mention (in substance) “these terrorists who claim to be muslims but who betray the true muslin religion and values.” You’re out of your mind. You should stop there.

  25. 25 Scott Welch Jan 10th, 2015 at 9:16 pm

If Ryan listen to Rush Limbaugh and Bill O’Reilly, we know why he is brain washed.

  26. 26 Dan Kessling Jan 11th, 2015 at 7:20 am

Tom. There is no religion, moslem included, encouraging and supporting terrorism. If a catholic, jewish, protestant, etc commits an act of terror, he is a terrorist. When somebody commits a crime, we don’t say he is a catholic or protestant or jewish, etc criminal. We say a criminal. Sorry, but you don’t sound very bright.

  27. 27 stsn Jan 11th, 2015 at 12:12 pm

From my reading of the Koran, these thugs aren’t average Muslims any more than Nazis were your average Catholics. I find the Koran quite interesting, especially the reverence for the prophet Jesus.

  28. 28 Tom Ryan Jan 11th, 2015 at 12:37 pm

Hey guy’s, hot topic! Thanks for your comments! There’s nothing like getting your coconuts run over by a steam roller! I realize that there are many good Muslims out there who detest being hi-jacked by these radicals. I guess the point is that too many Muslims are not vocal enough. If they do want to take their religion back, more of them are going to have to openly take a stance and deal with these guy’s in their own way.

    Have a good one!

  29. 29 Batterycap Jan 11th, 2015 at 4:57 pm

Its simply intriguing that Obama myrmidons can find there way to a motorcycling related site – of any kind.

By the way, Greeko, Johnnyletgo and Scottie, Obama revels in calling these murderers terrorists, but he only mentions “Muslim” or “Islam” in the context of alleging that these barbarians are wrong in their claim to be representing Islam. To segregate this religion from these atrocities is clearly his desire. It’s just that so many of the adherents of the religion are making it darn tough to make the argument.

I completely understand the position of those Muslims that don’t speak out against these atrocities. If they did, they too would be killed, or at least live with a sword at their throat. Besides, if you kind of agree anyway, why speak out.

Still, attack after attack is being done by a person or group that is yelling Allah Akbar. Hey, Sura 8:12 doesn’t leave much to interpretation.

As for Mohammed, he may be your prophet, but he ain’t mine.

  30. 30 Fanfare Ends Jan 12th, 2015 at 3:12 pm

    Theses jihadis don’t represent islam?

Because Obama told you? Cause he never lies….
    /rolls eyes.
That must be why he sent NO ONE TO THAT RALLY IN PARIS YESTERDAY.
BTW, perhaps you missed it but the jihadis targeted and massacred Jews simply shopping for groceries.

As for other muslims denying the terrorists represent islam:

27% of Young French Muslims (1.62 million) back the Islamic State, poll finds…Only 31% of French Muslims responding to the survey stated they had “very unfavorable” opinions of the Islamic State while another 31% was “somewhat unfavorable” towards the Islamic state which indicates some level of support. The rest responded to various degrees of approval, meaning a positive leaning towards the Islamic State. The headline of the actual article, “15% of French people back ISIS militants, poll finds”, published by the Russian news outlet RT is somewhat misleading and does not explain in clear details how they arrived at these numbers.

    https://muslimstatistics.wordpress.com/2014/11/01/27-of-young-french-muslims-1-62-million-back-the-islamic-state-poll-finds/

As for jihadis misrepresenting the koran:

Fanfare Ends. BS, BS, BS, BS, BS. Check your sources. On Sunday, French have demonstrated the opposite of what your supposed “true” polls are saying. Who is the biggest liar?

  32. 32 Fanfare Ends Jan 12th, 2015 at 4:03 pm

You are the liar here, with no sources. I have read the koran, and every Islamic scholar concurs, the later hadiths supplant the earlier ones.

Google search ” how many muslims marched in France” and you will get estimates of hundred to a few thousand. OUT OF NEARLY 8 MILLION MUSLIMS IN FRANCE, who could have stood up and said “I do not support Islamic terror!” but refused.

Because they are afraid? Or because they support it in their hearts.
Islam is a death cult, and the longer you keep your head in the sand about it, the more likely you will have it cut off.

Peace or Jihad? Abrogation in Islam

    by David Bukay
    Middle East Quarterly
    Fall 2007, pp. 3-11

The Qur’an is unique among sacred scriptures in accepting a doctrine of abrogation in which later pronouncements of the Prophet declare null and void his earlier pronouncements.[9] Four verses in the Qu’ran acknowledge or justify abrogation:

When we cancel a message, or throw it into oblivion, we replace it with one better or one similar. Do you not know that God has power over all things?[10]

When we replace a message with another, and God knows best what he reveals, they say: You have made it up. Yet, most of them do not know.[11]

God abrogates or confirms whatsoever he will, for he has with him the Book of the Books.[12]
If we pleased, we could take away what we have revealed to you. Then you will not find anyone to plead for it with us.[13]

Rather than explain away inconsistencies in passages regulating the Muslim community, many jurists acknowledge the differences but accept that latter verses trump earlier verses.[14]

Most scholars divide the Qur’an into verses revealed by Muhammad in Mecca when his community of followers was weak and more inclined to compromise, and those revealed in Medina, where Muhammad’s strength grew….

…The issue of abrogation in Islam is critical to understanding both jihad and da’wa, the propagation of Islam. Some Muslims may preach tolerance and argue that jihad refers only to an internal, peaceful struggle to better oneself. Western commentators can convince themselves that such teachings are correct. However, for learned Muslim scholars and populist leaders, such notions are or should be risible. They recognize that, in practice, there is compulsion in Islam.

    http://www.meforum.org/1754/peace-or-jihad-abrogation-in-islam

PS – “Outside France, several thousand people, including many Muslims, rallied in Milan with many carrying signs that said “I am Charlie” or “Not In My Name”.”

    “MANY…”
    /wow….

  34. 34 Mark Russell Jan 12th, 2015 at 4:14 pm

Fanfare. Ha, ha. You read online a fake version of the Coran. One re-written to pursue an agenda. Ha, ha. Nowhere the Coran preaches violence, quite the opposite. There is no way to know how many muslims participated in the march in Paris. How do you recognize them? Profiling?

  35. 35 Voice of reason.. Jan 12th, 2015 at 5:09 pm

Why use this to spew your political views? I have opinions on all of the above, strong opinions, but I only have one thing to say.

I am sorry for the senseless loss of life. Sorry Cyril lost a friend, that these slaughtered people won’t see there children, grandchildren, husbands, wives. Senseless murder no matter.

You idiots have too much grease and exhaust between your ears or up your rear ends. Just extend sympathies and mind your manners.

  37. 37 New York myke Jan 13th, 2015 at 2:25 pm

It’s pathetic how many make excuses for this administration and the jihadists who are clearly pursuing a global califate. Our defense budget has decreased as our welfare budget has increased and I don’t care where you get your news from, facts speak for themselves. The world of Islamists, the radicals and all the supporters and enablers too, have engaged in world war. We’d all love to see Muslim leaders like Sissi of Egypt stand up to them. Until this becomes the trend instead of the destruction of the last two decades (and arguably centuries) we need to elect leaders with the courage to call a spade a spade, rebuild our military and accept that only peace thru strength and victory is real. Obama is not alone to blame, so is schumer, boxer, Feinstein, Clinton, Kerry and many more who should know better. Isreal is being sold out while American liberals just want to build and hide behind a bigger govt.
Wanna just ride your motorcycle? Me too, but this same big govt ignoring real danger just makes riding more difficult with more rules and regulations, blaming us for rising insurance costs to climate change. We need leadership change!
