The Polaris Slingshot Got Custom Seats From Corbin

slingshot1slingshot2These Corbin Sport Bucket Seats are designed to work on the existing Polaris seat frame and slider. Instead of building up complete racing style seats with shoulder bolsters, Corbin opted for a Sport Bucket style with thigh and side bolsters and keeping your shoulders free. Not only does this look more appropriate inside the Slingshot, but it maximizes cabin space but they will not make you feel cramped.

Seat and back panels are conceived to cradle your body ergonomically. This gives a long range support that eliminates hot spots. They also made the thigh bolsters with a softer angle so they add more seating area for more square inches of body contact. This helps hold your body in place yet not “confined” while giving additional comfort value.

Corbin designed their new Sport Bucket seats to accommodate a rider wearing a helmet without having your head tilt forward. They provide just enough extra room to allow for the helmet, but still provide the needed support and whiplash protection. This equates to approximately 1.5 inches if you’re wondering.

These seats are offered in leather seating with a wide range of color and texture options. Leather will breathe and break in along with Corbin’s Comfort Cell foam for a personalized fit. A Corbin logo is embroidered into the headrest area. Optional built-in electric heaters in both the seat base AND the seat back. A wiring pigtail that integrates with your Slingshot’s harness and runs up to the dash to plug into our included heater switches. Installation requires only standard hand tools and a little patience. Cool stuff. I think if you dropped that stitch pattern you’ll get a better response. It looks pretty dated, like a 1980’s semi rig.

Kudos to Mr. Corbin for taking a chance on a new product
It takes a visionary to see ahead of the game & what could be.
Especially for what could be a niche market
This cycle/pseudo-car market could be big, not huge, but big …..

That’s not a motorcycle, I don’t care what anyone says.

Some people say that sidecar rigs are not a motorcycle,
trikes are not a motorcycle,Slingshots are not a motorcycle
and there are people like me who doesnt give a shit what
    they are classified as,
They are all good fun,and they put peoples
    faces in the wind.

Probably wouldn’t buy a Slingshot but wouldn’t think twice about renting one for a weekend. Looks like it would be a blast to take out on the twisties!

Seats are nice, but the machine looks like a stealth plane threw up

Funny how some guys are so insecure about their ride they’re offended if the government classifies something with less than four wheels a motorcycle. Big whoop. I also thought I’d never buy one, was interested in renting…until I rode one. Hot damn what a blast. Not the same as two wheels, but not the same as anything else either. I could see ditching the big touring bike and using this for 2-up riding instead. Still want 2 wheels for smaller hot rod solo riding.

Matt W hit the goldmine. Renting Slingshots would be a extremely profitable operation and it don’t have to be connected to a dealership. Just think, fly into LAX or SFO and pick one up. No helmet, no motorcycle endorsement required. (At least in California)

Rebel, that is a good one! Hilarious! Haven’t formed my opinion on the SS yet. Still confused every time I look at it. Like they have said, would be fun to rent.

Do you own one of these? Ever parked it outside on a 100 degree day? I did .. and the seat was so dang hot that, even with Levis on, I could not sit in the seat. Then on the ride home the back of my shirt was wringing wet. How about a seat from a mesh or tight netting type of material AND not in black. The stock seats are nearly unusable in any kind of hot weather.
