World’s Largest Harley Dealership To Open In Scottsdale November 7, 2016.

1azhdWorld’s Largest Harley Dealership To Open In Scottsdale November 7, 2016. Well-known entrepreneur and philanthropist Bob Parsons who owns Harley-Davidson of Scottsdale and also GO AZ Motorcycles and Spooky Fast Customs has announced the grand opening for Nov. 7, 2015. The event will coincide with the 4th Annual Bob’s Biker Blast. “This year, I can’t wait for everyone to see the world-class dealership we’ve built. It’s the world’s biggest and the best” said Parsons.

Stated to become the largest Harley-Davison dealership in the world, the 150,000 square-foot Scottsdale Harley facility will dwarf the Harley dealerships in Daytona, Fla., and Las Vegas, which are 109,000 and 104,000 square feet, respectively. In addition of hundreds of motorcycles on display the dealership features a tattoo and piercing studio, a wedding chapel, a movie theater, an arcade and a leather and lace boutique.

Headlining this year’s event is The Doobie Brothers whose concert will cap off a day filled with live entertainment, food, drinks, giveaways, new merchandise, dealership tours and more. “Sons of Anarchy’s” Kim Coats aka “Tig” will also make a special appearance and sign autographs during the event. Grand opening festivities begin at noon on November 7 and run through 10:30 p.m.

Bad timing in declining market. Parsons used to own Go Daddy so he can afford to take at hit.

Rodent. I am not sure you understand business. This dealership is more than a dealership. The reason for doing it is to preempt the local market. Understand if you can. And by the way, it’s the best time to start such a business when the competition is weaker.

For sure, Rodent didn’t go to business school. For example, he never heard about buying stocks when on sale (in 2009) at the lowest of the market. % gain is now 300%. Same for all investments if you have the cash flow and can wait to make a big capital gain.

Sometimes ego overtakes practicality, but he wins either way. If it flys he’s good and if it don’t it’s a business loss. He can afford it either way.

Probably one of the worse dealerships in the country. After Rick sold to Bob Parson, everything went down hill from customer service to quality of the employees in general. I would not buy a bike or a chrome bolt from them even if they paid me.

Big dealership + Big inventory = Big markdowns on motorcycles.

I get the whole entertainment destination idea, but that is an odd location. It is very busy with a Home Depot, Walmart Supercenter, BestBuy, dozens of chain restaurants, strip malls, and several auto dealers all within 1000 feet. Neighbors won’t be too happy about festival traffic and band noise. With Parson’s fat bank I would have expected something more along the lines of Destination Daytona with a huge complex and plenty of expansion possibility. Wish them well though. Nice to see someone spending.

I still prefer small shops run by owners who are not afraid to see oil stains. Work on an Iron Head Sportster or enjoy seeing an Evo or Shovel pull up out side……………..

it’s a busy part of town already…they’ve built a new round-about right in front of the place…should make for challenging arrivals & departures on 2 wheels…

Good luck with his business. Outside the US such a size is hard to imagine. Maybe it´s also some competition for Barnett, HoH and the other online-shops.

At least they’ll have some great music. 🙂

Yes it is the worlds largest Harley Dealership and its in the perfect location with no house near by to be bothered by loud music and motorcycles. When Bod Person bought the dealership it was in the bottom 5 dealerships nation wide and is now in the top 5 for sales, service and customer service. It will soon by the number one dealership in the world. Right now there are 16 techs and 5 that are master tech. With in a year or two there will be 7-10 master techs, which is on heard of. Most shops have 2 maybe master techs on staff. AZ resident has no idea what they are talking about, the dealership before was horrible and in the bottom 5 nation wide. Customer now are happy and gratefully to have a new owner that cares about them and there dealership experience.

The only issue with the location is that it is a highly congested retail area that i avoid for just that reason. A maze of roads whipping around multiple blocks of strip malls, eateries, walmart, home depot, bestbuy and beyond. A great place to get hit on a bike of you ask me especially since bell rd to the 101 freeway is always packed with traffic.
A perfect spot for the scottsdale $$$$$$$ crowd though….barrett jackson, PGA tour course across the street and plenty of affliction wearing customers to drop serious coin.

I’m sure a lot of folks still don’t think Disneyland is a sound idea either, but I’m glad to see new businesses started by folks who won’t starve if they don’t work out in a year or two. As for the business’ location being a negative, how many of us get to a roundabout and give up, afraid to proceed? Too busy? Like Sturgis & Daytona? Reminds me of my favorite Yogi Berraism, “Nobody goes there anymore, it’s always too crowded.”.

Love AZ! But I would have opened a place like this on a big parcel of land a mile or few from that busy shopping area everyone is talking about. Bruce Rossmeyer had the right idea in Daytona and made that area biker friendly. I’m not so sure the cars and bikes will mix well. But none the less, I think if he plays his cards right there is room for another big BIKE WEEK destination other than Sturgis and promoted correctly he can be extremely successful. I live in Florida and look forward to getting out of here to a new event worth going to. I Wish him good luck in his new endeavor. No matter how much money someone has they never like to fail, whether they can afford the loss or not. He obviously doesn’t need the money so this is something he is passionate about. I personally hope I get to visit this place and get a t-shirt, off the sale rack of course. PEACE

Bigger is not always better…maybe he should have talked to Shelly Rossimier in Daytona…150,000 sq ft. When you turn on the lights the bills start pouring in.

Tax law about businesses in the USA is ever changing. With good habit and savings, you can be assured
of having enough to start your own business. A customer is injured
while using a product you sold and files a claim for
    indemnity.

Look into their years of experience in managing small business accounts so that you can get professional advice on various financial matters.

Typically, this works well if we are involved in a solid networking and we reciprocate, by referring clients to those
