The Daytona 200 is a 200 miles, 57 laps race featuring 600 cc sport bikes on the 3.51 mile Daytona Speedway course. The Victory Octane will be the official pace bike prior to the start with Victory being the official presenting sponsor.
As part of their presenting sponsorship of the DAYTONA 200, the motorcycle manufacturer will be hosting the Victory Owners Track Experience, which will provide a parade lap around Daytona International Speedway to Victory motorcycle owners on Friday, March 11 at 11:30 a.m. Leading the parade lap will be Swiss motorcycle fanatic Grisu Grizzly, who in the past two years has set a pair of distance riding world records aboard Victory Motorcycles. Victory Motorcycle owners can sign up to participate in the parade lap around the “World Center of Racing” at Polaris Forms.
“We are celebrating a significant milestone in 2016 with the 75th running of the DAYTONA 200 and we’re proud to have Victory Motorcycles as a presenting sponsor,” Daytona International Speedway President Joie Chitwood III said.
”Victory Motorcycles has been delivering performance and power in the cruiser and touring classes for years,” says Steve Menneto, Vice President of Victory motorcycles, a Polaris Industries brand. “The new Victory Octane is designed to be the most aggressive muscle bike in the class and comes in at an affordable $10,500. We are happy to sponsor a legendary event like the DAYTONA 200. It’s a great example of how our brand is breaking boundaries by participating in the Isle of Man Electric TT, the Pikes Peak Hill Climb and the NHRA circuit,”
Nice to see that Daytona Speedway has finally updated their web site, recognizing Victory as the presenting sponsor.
