Due to a health issue discovered in 2017 requiring all my attention, I can no longer focus 100% on writing the Cyril Huze Post and traveling intensively in the US and abroad.
Consequently, I plan to retire and turn a new corner in my life to see what it has in store for me. The future of this site has yet to be finalized. In any case, I will silence my keyboard on May 15th and hope for a possible transition. The Cyril Huze Post is doing very well and to this day remains the leading “Daily Custom Motorcycle News” in the digital category. All content and comments, published since its creation in 2006, will stay online indefinitely.
My strongest emotion right now is deep gratitude to everybody who, during all my life, supported me to make my personal and professional dreams come true across two continents. Thank you so much and I wish many years of success to all of you.
– Cyril Huze
Cyril The correct choice.. You need to take care of yourself first.. Good Luck to you and hope all works out for the very best

Best wishes, thoughts, prayers and TONS of THANKS !
Cyril,
I have been reading your posts for a long time. I look forward to Monday mornings when I get your post. I recall the first Hoka Hay run from Key West to Homer Alaska…I lost a good friend on that ride…you where one of the few that would tell it like it is. You have always treated all motorcycles fairly. You have pretty much allowed people to say what they think about your posts.
Going to miss you Cyril…what ever you do in life from here on out…enjoy every second of it…I know one thing for sure…you will be riding till the end.

Take care of you!

And finally we hope the Cyril Huze Blog can continue to entertain us and enlighten us under new leadership. Thanks again and best wishes.

Hi Cyril, My thoughts are with you.
Cyril –
Godspeed on this next journey. You will be in our thoughts.
It’s been a pleasure to know you all these years. We all had a great time during the ups and downs of the motorcycle business. You found your true niche and contributed to the world. I thank you for that as so many others have thanked you. Good luck on your endeavors wherever you go.
Cyril,
I wish you the best for your health. You have been nothing but kind to me as I started my building career, and nothing but a friend since. If there is ANYTHING I can do to help you during this transition, please let me know.
God bless you!
Pete G
Bonne chance pour la suite Cyril, qu’importe ce que tu feras. Et merci pour tout ce que tu as donné à la communauté et industrie de la moto. Take care…

Hey Cyril, God Bless ! I’ve been battling health issues for 13 years , sucks ! Life is too short, 49 years ago, I went to my 1st Laconia Rally (69), on my 50 Panhead, I was 19 ! I was riding the Billy Bike before Easyriders had come out ! Next month will be my 50th Laconia, lots of changes ! Now, I’m an Ole Man of 68, where did the time go ?
8 days notice, I don’t like the sounds of that ! I don’t like the 1st week in May, since 1957, when I lost my favorite Uncle, in 67, I lost my Best Friend in Vietnam, then lost my oldest brother in a car wreck in 71 ! You take care of yourself, nothing else matters, listen to your Doctor’s, they may not know Shit about motorcycles, but, they know modern medicine ! Get Well, Boston Jim
Tough day for motorcycle media.
Wish you the best Cyril.
The industry and all of us who have followed you over the years will greatly miss you. Thank you for everything Cyril.

Cyril,
You have been one of the best spokespersons for the big twin motorcycle lifestyle that the industry has ever seen. Your efforts will never be forgotten. I will certainly miss your industry updates. Thanks for all the good years and I pray that you can turn the health issues around.
Hoping for the best for you…

You will be sorely missed Mr. Huze! Wishing you nothing but the best!
Health first. My routine is going to change. That’s the way it goes. “Life’s about changing, nothing ever stays the same” – Patty Loveless reminds me of that frequently in her great song. As Willy says in his new song – “You don’t ever get over it, you just get through it.”
All the best, and may great health be yours again and forever.
Mr. Huze,
Thank you so much for all of the positive contributions that you have made to the sport of motorcycling and the motorcycle industry. This blog is the best, hands down that exists. You will be dearly missed but your health and well being comes first. All the best to you and once again thank you very much.

You are doing the right thing – I am wishing you the best. Thank you for your amazing blog!
Thanks for all the great years Cyril. I’m so sorry to hear of your health issues, but I know with your strength, you will meet the challenge, and work through it. I see that I’m not alone in my appreciation of all you have brought to the sport of motorcycling. We will all miss all your great stories, and the incredible knowledge you shared with us. Good luck to you in all you do. I know our paths will cross somewhere down the road.
Cyril, I hope you can handpick some knowledgeable people to continue this site under your name which I’m sure they’re willing to do. Perhaps you could even get seven separate people who could each contribute at least one/two news items a day to cover the whole week. This would allow each of them some lead time to work on their news item(s) instead of overloading one person to do it on a daily basis.
Thanks and take care!
Tom
Cyril, Thanks for all you’ve done for the motorcycle business and more so for us riders who love motorcycles. I look forward every day to your blog and will miss your MC info on new, brand name bikes and customs. I hope your health issues are resolved quickly. The best to you….Richards
Sorry to hear that Cyril. I hope everything works out well for you.

Despite always busy at work, I have always made time to read your stuff, Cyril. You’ll surely be missed but, if the malady discovered is what we all think it is, then there’s no photo shoot. Nothing else should really matter until this chapter is under control. Bon courage 😉 !!!

When I can no longer monitor your blog every day there will be a hole in my mornings. You have been generous to me, over the years. In my capacity as a moto-scrie for Thunder Press I consider your reporting a necessity. To say you will be missed is a gross understatement.
I’m hoping you can get the treatment you need and recover from your condition. Please enjoy many happy years of retirement.

Thann you Cyril
Thank you for your years of covering an industry within an industry. You ability to cover topics and highlight the numerous talented people and companies will leave a void in the marketplace. Your ability to not only takes a machine and fashioned a rolling piece of artwork but you have funneled that creativity by giving us a periscope of what is possible. You coverage knows no borders, no geopolitical biases but opens a pathway of exposing machines and the creatives mind behind the them across the globe.
Enjoy your retirement!
~Steve

Franck

Cyril,
I pray that your health returns and you are on a path to a complete and quick recovery. I admire what you have been able to do with your blog. Corralling the personalities in here is like herding cats, but you have managed remarkably well for the good of all.
I admire that you have not been quick to judge or at least, had the self control to keep yourself on the high-road. I appreciate that you have provided a venue to allow folks to share and gather important information and timely industry news. I also thank you for reminding us all that our industry is actually very small and we need to respect each other, never tell when we will need each other…
Most of all, thanks for being a genuine nice guy. It has been an honor to have worked with you through the years. Stay smiling and let me know if there is ever anything I can do for you. Best of luck…
Thanks for many grins Cyril. I will lift your health issues in prayer.
You leave some big shoes to fill. You’ve provided many good reads over the years.
You’ll be in our thoughts and prayers.
Good luck and God bless, Cyril.

Dear cyril,
I wanted to take a sec and wish you good luck in your retirement ! Most of all best of luck with your health ! I myself have been stalling to write the same announcement due to health issues that just seem to get more intense day by day ! You have carved quite a nitche in the industry that will be hard to replace , I hope you can find someone worthy to take over your site , but I can imagine how hard it would be to just turn over something that’s been so
Successful To someone who you might have a doubt in or if your not
Pleased with the financial end ,
I wish you best of luck with all of your future !

You are leaving behind one helluva legacy and something to be extremely proud of. You’ve given so much to our industry and now is the time to focus on your health and retirement. Its been an honor to have been associated with you and your blog (albeit in a very small way) over the last few years, and I wish you happiness and health for many years to come! God Bless you Cyril.

My editor, at the time, rejected the video & I never let him live it down & don’t work for him anymore !
You may not think you helped,(even when you rejected Metric stories from me)
But you did & you have !!
Bon Chance, Mon Ami !!!
Few people can be sure that they made a positive difference on a industry / lifestyle with their work.
You may rest assured..
Cyril, I’ve very much enjoyed every post that I have had an opportunity to read. Your coverage of the Custom Motorcycle community / industry has been top notch, and cutting edge. Thaks so much for sharing your passion for motorcycles with us all. Take care of yourself and enjoy life in the future. All the best!!
Your blog was always a good read.
Best Wishes Cyril,
Best of luck to you.
Enjoy life and take care of your health.
Cyril, I wish you much recovery. You are in my prayers.
You have a lot of fans that’s a sign of job well done.
I remember when we interviewed you when I was producing the Hog Radio Show, that was many years ago. I now produce World of Motorcycling podcast, similar to the past show but with updates and additional host.
Thanks for providing the industry with an open platform to share ones thoughts while showcasing great work by builders.
Blessings to you.

Godspeed Cyril!!!
Thank you so much from my heart for introducing the World to my pieces of work over the past few years. To have my builds on your front page meant a lot to me and will always be one of the top accomplishments for me. I hope your riding the best roads now pain free and Godspeed to you Sir. The world of motorcycling and Motorcycling news has lost a piece of treasure
